I keep blocks 4/4 6/4 and 8/4 in my milling tote for setting my mill height. I out them on the bar loosen bolts then retighten. I definitely want to try these clamps. Anything to make things easier and save time

I'm wondering about the other nut on the U-bolt. It seems like you would have to keep it loose enough so you can adjust the height when the quick release is open yet tight enough so the height doesn't change while milling. I'd be interested to know if you have any issues with it. Thanks.

I don’t foresee that being an issue. The quick release lever has a lot of cam to it, it really cranks down tight.

This is just what I needed. Im down right now because of hardware. I’ve milled 20 slabs at 6’ each so 120’ and some of my nuts and bolts are showing wear. That is the nature of the process.

This is great! That saves so much time when you need to make multiple adjustments in a short amount of time. I use my Granberg mill to make mortises in log stumps to slide slabs into for cool benches. To make one 2.25 inch thick mortise cut requires multiple short cuts and using a wrench is a pain.

Would this accessory also be sufficient to secure height adjustment on the G777, Small Log Mill? I understand that the mill design is different, as there is only one vertical component versus two.

Thanks for the heads up. I had always put a wing nut on mine before, but this still looks way better.

I love your videos. Great content. I have a question and I believe you know the answer: does a 4,7HP chansaw (husky 562XP) is strong enough for a 36inch (90cm) bar? The recomandation for this type of chainsaw is 28 inch (70cm) but I would like to have something bigger. What do you think? Thank you.

I hope you figured out by now, but no a 562 xp will not pull a 36 inch chain; a 572 xp will, but your saw probably wont last very long. Try something in the 90 cc class for best results with a 36 inch bar

If they are plastic, it’s the hardest plastic I’ve ever seen. They feel very durable.
