You gotta love when an 1.5 hour flight is delayed 1.5 hours. I swear that is their business model. Allegiant, Frontier and Spirit offer a "cheap" flight with tons of hidden fees, delay or cancel flights as they choose and make your customer wished they'd spent that extra dollar to fly elsewhere. I learn my lesson with Allegiant. What I thought was going to be a really cheap flight from Stockton, Ca to LAS ended up only being about $35 less than Southwest (about $200 round trip, when the ticket started at like $60) I drove 1 hours to Stockton whereas Sacramento airport was 15 minutes from home. To make matters worse, our noon flight home from LAS was cancelled as we were headed to the airport at 9am. We ended up being delayed at the LAS airport for 8+ hours waiting for a flight that was only 1hr 5 minutes long. This was all due to them underselling the flight and combining the noon flight and the 6 pm flight to fill the plane. We could have driven home in about 10 hours. I stay away from these 3 at all cost.
