They need to follow the lead of Pof and ruger with the revolution/rogue and SFAR, and make a short frame ar308 lower, it will save tooling for uppers when you can just use an ar15 upper receiver.
It's not easy to make a reliable, accurate and durable 308 gas gun. This (if successful) is merely adding a entry price option(if they didn't overshoot the pricing) to the 308 piston guns. Mind you Tavor7 is ~1700. SCAR 17 is still the lightest 308 that I trust my life to work from BR to SPR roles.

Yeah I gotta say I wanted to like the SCAR17 but it was really cheaply made for what it is. You spend $3K and immediately have to pay $300 on a trigger that isn’t garbage… Then you have a flimsy stock and cheap plastic lower… It was way more accurate than it had any right to be though! But I ran a Surefire 762K on it with the correct mount just like SOCOM did and the screws for the recoil spring bracket kept walking out on me. I don’t see how the PSA rifle could be any worse tbh considering how many SCARs had stock latches and other small parts break in theatre during military use… But I’m really excited about PWS’s new modular rifle, it basically is what the ACR should have been with the bonus of being configurable in 5.56 to 7.62.
I expected not to use any lower because most ar10 and dpms lowers are vastly different company to company. We needed this to be the scar we can afford, a better cartridge than 556.
I know the PA10 lowers are DPMS LR308 pattern, but they are a bit unique, just enough that an Aero M5 upper doesnt mate up to it. So... This is really disapointing. The coolest build I had imagined would be an Aero M5 FDE lower receiver and a PSA FDE 308 Jakl upper, with a Haga Defense ACR stock. (F5 stock sucks)
I have an Aero M5 lower with PSA upper. It’s a little crazy that the Aero upper don’t fit in the PSA lower. 🤨 You just may be able to get your build after all. I’m sure they will clarify what is compatible once closer to coming out.
Ive heard from 10 unique personalities on both AR10 Reddit and also on the PSA forums that the PSA PA-10 receivers don't mate with the M5E1 receivers. Some issues with width causing gaps, geometry is a bit off, and the takedown tolerances are different as well. IF you got an M5 lower to mate to a Gen 3 PA10 Upper, I'd like to see a video of it working. Would benefit the community a lot to see its possible despite other reports.@@chriscollins644
I could have sworn I heard a PSA rep in another video say you can use a certain ar10 lower with the JAKL upper if you just wanted the upper instead of the entire rifle.
I was thinking that a dream setup would be to have this with a standard dpms lower and have a genesis 12 shotgun upper ready to swap. Sadly, this may not be the case. Sad

I thought they said it was a standard PA10 lower.
I have heard them state in other vids it will fit on a standard pa10 lower but will require an adapter for the buffer tube area.
It's like the 5.56 one. You can use a regular lower. But they might be seeking export
PSA said it is compatible with their PA10 DPMS style lowers. Therefore, It is not compatible with Armalite style lowers.

I have a pa10 lower with an aero m5 upper… it works. But i have had plentiful ftf so I’m guessing you’re right lol this jakl upper will replace it
