I also have the Jinhao 159, but mine is a medium nib. I have the same issues with mine. I was keeping it in my work bag so that I was writing with it every day, but it didn't make a difference in having to be primed to write with it. I enjoy your videos very much. I like hearing about your experiences with ink and pen combinations and your thought process behind your choices. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your nice comments and for confirming my thoughts on the Jinhao! I wasn't sure if it was just mine or something with the model itself ◡̈
It is good to see someone else who has a bunch of pens inked all at once! Do you find there is an upper limit on what you can keep track of? I think I confuse myself if I get much over 30, but I don't like having pens in storage. Storage = might as well find a new home in my brain haha
@@WhimsyofThings I use to have 70 to 83 inked. Now I find 30 to 34 (plus 11 Twsbi’s inked) plenty. Each pen is getting the attention needed. I change out every month. Each pen will be used soon.

I started having 10+ inked pens all the time. My currently inked runs 25-35, not including the 10+ inked.
