Much respect to Hope, they produce some of the most respected and most beautiful aftermarket components in the industry. My bikes are equipped with an array of Hope products, and I'm sure in the right conditions this thing rips. You guys rock! Congrats on your achievement and thank you for some of the best customer support in the business.
Well done hope great to see. I would of bought one but I've just pulled the trigger on a Bronson CC X01 custom hope build. Gutted now SC better be good.
They are the manufacturer. I live 20mins away an they are ex rolls royce engineers that got layed off, many moons ago an put their good skills to use. Leaving Lancashire is not an option for these lads, il bet my last gold nugget on it!!
It's a McLaren sports car in bike form. Limited production/high cost = exclusive. I like the geometry and it seems like they did their homework! I'll probably never get the chance but it would be cool to see one in the woods!
Nick Zarnetske Are you kidding? McLaren is one of the most innovative companies in the world! This thing is Hope's attempt to ride on the back of fine British formula 1 engineering. Fuck them!
We honestly don't understand the hate. Hope had a dream to make its own bike. It achieved that, then everyone started asking when it would go on sale, so it decided to make them available. If no one buys it Hope will be forced to re-evaluate, but Hope will probably still consider the bike a success because it did what it set out to do.
Its suits most riders, nice build compared to competition, I'm very happy with mine at 200 cm , great bike , excellent build quality , great all rounder , what more could you ask ?
Reverb is the least reliable dropper, they need to make their own! Or just go for the Fox Transfer, since it seems to be the most reliable on the market.
Lukas Foglar there has been a lot of those, this actually looks like the nukeproof mega or a lapierre. Aside from the proprietary parts there is nothing in this bike that is revolutionary
glad I read this first, I was about to post it looks a lot like my nukeproof mega 275 160mm travel, actually even more like the prototype carbon version Sam Hill is on at the moment.
This frame resembles Nukeproof Mega an awful lot, both on linkage and numbers, moreover, the Mega is available in both 650b and 29" wheel sizes, not to mention the fact that you can get yourself a frame and build your own bike (which does not work with Hope as said in the video). Given all this, I think it is quite safe to call this bike a pointless piece of expensive jewelry, not much more. UPD: looked up some components and their counterparts from other brands (also those I rode myself), there's more than one thing to be changed on that bike to make it worth 9k bucks, problem is that it'll take you even more. So, yeah, it's even worse than I thought initially.
Cool bike but the introduction was overly dramatic dont you think? I First though that they went to Orange or some brand like that in UK, I mean Hope did not need to learn anything about what he described as they only hired people that already were knowledgable about all that :P And the price, holy moly. It is getting a bit to exaggerated, it basically costs as much as a motorcycle yet it is not anything as advanced as one. :D But an hope bike, yes please. I am waiting for an steel/titanium HT though :D
Ok firstly the presenter was not entirely sold on a 7K bike. and then went on about why he was not sold on a 7K bike. Now don't get me wrong I would buy a british bike if I thought it was good and value for money bit I am not sure that this ranks as value for money or indeed THAT good. You could get a gucci bike for much CHEAPER. Now does every bike have to be long low and slack to the max? No but for fucks sake 7K for a trail bike with a alloy rear end.........
A B dunno, when u ad up the parts that are on the bike xx1 drivetrain fox36 forks all hope brakes hope wheels £5500 seems like a bargain to me compared to yeti sb5 enduro at £4250 kitted out with poor sram gx
If mostly built in-house with their own equipment keeping tooling costs DOWN - i.e. components and the carbon frame - why £7500???? What a rip off!!! You can get a top end Jeffsy 27 or Capra for half the money, that are tried and tested to be incredible bikes. Also, is their USP being 'British Made'? Sod that!
JBone XC completely different companies mate, companies like YT and Canyon mass produce bikes overseas, sell directly to customers from the company cutting out bike shops and have many different spec levels, which I’ve yet to see match the spec on this bike. You have to compare this to a high end Santa Cruz or Intense , and those companies still don’t build their frames in-house like Hope do. Hope are clearly targeting a different type of customer here and wanted to give those customers something unique so it won’t be for everyone but I’m sure people that do buy one will love it, when I win the lottery I’ll be on one straight away!
Peter Szabo we're not trying to sell the bike, so why should we clean it? We'd literally just come back from a 1,000m 20minute descent and then shot the video.
Honestly I'm sure I hate talking to camera more than you hate watching it, but I'm hoping you can forgive the presentation and enjoy geeking out over the product instead - Danny
+MBR magazine good response. I thought you were great personally. I hate seeing over animated american presenters who are loud and all bro-like. i like your style.
Last of dying breed. Once an empire keep up the good work Hope 👌

Let's "Hope" they don't give up and send their manufacturing to Asia.
They are the manufacturer. I live 20mins away an they are ex rolls royce engineers that got layed off, many moons ago an put their good skills to use. Leaving Lancashire is not an option for these lads, il bet my last gold nugget on it!!
Inexpensive, simple to set up and it works.

bikee4 - Well that's your opinion and I clearly have mine, I don't think it warrants fucking them though...
Its suits most riders, nice build compared to competition, I'm very happy with mine at 200 cm , great bike , excellent build quality , great all rounder , what more could you ask ?
Looks fucking hot. Bonkers price. Dream machine 😉
Just a pointer - please speak a little faster.
Brilliant! Hats off to Hope!
I HOPE this bike is good
Looks like the nuke proof mega.
Reverb is the least reliable dropper, they need to make their own! Or just go for the Fox Transfer, since it seems to be the most reliable on the market.
If you can afford it, why not. I can't but fair play to those who can. we can all live n hope
Sick bike and I thought the presenter was great.
What's the saddle on that bike?
how does it ride dude ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
cool! an enduro bike with real enduro geometry not a reduce travel downhill bike you struggle to ride switchbacks with...

I suppose if u have it y not but il stick with my trek
Were you in Serre-Chevalier ?
Yes, in the bike park and the trails around Briancon.
why not selling only frameset? it's more reasonable.
Looks nice but you could by a Whyte G 170 or S 150 for half that Money
I wouldn't even pay £7500 for a motocross bike yet alone a mountain bike
They have dropped the price an refunded existing customers with a 2k refund. Team green are true community builders.
Did you force this guy in front of a camera? He is nervous as hell and makes it very hard to watch...

Someone get this guy some uppers... crikey
are these different to the ones the enduro racers race? you make it sound like it would be shit to race.

Well, that's a lot of money for a lot of proprietary stuff.
It looks like the design has been influenced by Lapierre quite a bit....
That was hard to watch...
I'd rather put my daughter through college than buy anyone's $10k bicycle.
7500 with an aluminium rear triangle. WHAT?
Ok firstly the presenter was not entirely sold on a 7K bike. and then went on about why he was not sold on a 7K bike. I appreciate detail but jeez that was a struggle
This bloke could put a glass eye to sleep
Imagine spending loads of money on a bike just to have a growth spurt
Any one who pays £7,500 for a bike has either too much money or too little sense!
A ridiculous price for a bike with an alloy rear triangle
The employees at hope Make good wages and benefits. The same can't be said for workers in Taiwan
Durrant Miller Yup but 10K$ for a simple bike? C'mon.
A B dunno, when u ad up the parts that are on the bike xx1 drivetrain fox36 forks all hope brakes hope wheels £5500 seems like a bargain to me compared to yeti sb5 enduro at £4250 kitted out with poor sram gx
british qc? ah rover...
£7,500... don't be daft

Lol. 7500.
That looks exactly like nookproof
Almost fell asleep listening to this guy .
Will hope help the UK go through Brexit???
Dirty bike in a hanging angle in the stand. Not really what is screaming "buy me". If intentional, I don't dig it, sry. Bike looks interesting though

terrible reveiwer

Cheers! We realise won't appeal to everyone. I'll try and neck a few espressos before the next one!
Mate, he's not a cheer leader, he's just talking about a bike.
If you hate it then why on earth do you do it? Your lack of confidence degrades the production value to the point where it's awkward to watch.
Not sure I'd like my chainstays computer numerically controlled...
painfully boring review!
How to make your bike irrelevant:
Only make 500 a year.
