I found a old bottle under one of those tunnels from the 1930s also found a stonie in mint condition aswell its amazing what you can find if you look close enough
Interesting, in these exact arches? Or the Tunnel down the way? I haven't kept an eye out for such things as it's a bunch of rubble places here, but it must have the odd artifact within it?... I'm going back to get my magnet in the River as there may be something of significance in the waters from all the years of Trains passing by 🔍
old stations and railways made great playgrounds, As a kid we played around in the old Eglinton Street Station, big holes in the floors and we could see and feel the trains running below, now demolished and barely a sign it was ever there. How did we survive the dangers we put ourselves in during the 1960's 😅
So true! Built like Steel your generation haha 💪 I'm fortunate too, to have experienced that Urban Adventure stuff, great childhood! Is the Eglinton Street Station long gone now?
As a child i used to walk the old railway lines , i remember as a child my friends and i would play in the old railway station on balmore rd just opposite where the petrol station is , we then got more adventurous and walked through the halloween pen(the tunnel under the forth and clyde canal) then follow on right up to the miley (where tesco maryhill is now) we were never brave enough to go all the way through that , i was about 7 years old 😂
Wow so fascinating! The Balmore Road Railway Station is actually on my list to document in Springtime. I haven't actually ever been to it in person so very excited, Amazing that you played inside as a Child! Love it 🤗
Now presented somewhat in the now, a Wonderful Historical Ruin that has went overlooked for a long time. I'm glad that there's many more admirers than just myself for these bygone structures. More soon ✌️🔎
