Honestly I find it interesting and like that some episodes don't have fights and some do. It balances the Slice of Life and Cardfight anime aspect like they are still individuals and not everything is based around a cardfight like in real life lol, so it has that sort of realistic aspect. But geez... seeing the Livestream comments when they crossdressed...
Yeah, I found it really disgusting when ppl started pulling out vomit emojis and using "gay" as an insult in this day and age....

I honestly don’t think there is a balance in the cardfights and the slice of life moments. The cardfights are short with a bit of flashy animation at the end. I know this is the direction the creators wanted to take the series but it doesn’t mean I have to like or agree with it. I know someone will say “then don’t watch it”, but I guess I’m holding on to the hope that one day we’ll get a full length cardfight at some point.
Man I'm never going to get used to this new airtime! Aside from that I'm finally glad we got to see Yuyu be able to cross dress at Megumis school and Toya was just a cherry on top! It's going to be a long road but I'm looking forward to them all working together
Welcome to my club just woken up lol. But yeah i agree, it maybe because they pushed the hell out of Danji in season 1, but i really REALLY like the dynamic between these characters especially Yuyu and Tohya. Heck I'd argue they might beat Aichi and Kai for best Vanguard duo
Yu-Yu just got her second crossdress and its beautiful lol. Yu-Yu got such a nice family that even Tohya can crossdress too with the help by them.
Why can we have a sadistic Yu-Yu in the manga but not in the anime?

Even though there will be a fight, do you find the fight sequences of overdress are exciting like before? I don't. There is nothing in this anime to see now.
In the past vanguard episodes, I find the constant card fights to be boring so I like how overdress focuses on other things. But I do agree that overdress should do a full vanguard fight once in a while.

Overdress is focusing on the plot thts why there willl be less cardfight, another example of a cardgame anime which focus more on the story itself is yugioh vrains which is actually good

Not to mention there's also a possibility of a male security guarding the school. So men's bathroom is necessary indeed

please CardfightVanguard, don't ever stop making fem yu-yu. It honestly is a great character trait for yu-yu.
I know some of you want tons of fighting like Original series but at least there are one thing we can agree is that Overdress fight scenes are god tier and not a PowerPoint presentation like Original era.
I wish there was more substance though :/ I agree they look nice, but they show so little of the fights that there's barely any room for strategy. Cardfight isn't decided by one turn, but is instead influenced by several decision from the entire match. When they do show fight scenes it looks cool, but they don't correlate at all to a decks strategy or gimmicks and instead are flashy thing hits thing. Not once have we seen bastion in battle scenes with allies....and the entire deck is rearguard-focused. I'm fine with having fewer fights of higher quality and other episodes to focus on the story, but I fell in love with vanguard from the awesome skills and strategies shown off in g series and the end of limit break Era. I want others to feel that love for vanguard like I do, which is why I don't like the shift in focus on the fights because it feels like it's going the wrong direction. Flashier fights doesn't always mean more compelling fights and moments. Those moments when dimension police powered up their vg to crazy power and the simpler animation showed it off was so hype. Those moments were way more hype than any of the flashiest moments we've seen in overdress right now.
Also, please don't take this as me insulting you. I'm just voicing my opinion about why I don't like overdress fights right now, because they could be so much more and be something that you and I both love. Just connect the animations of fights to what happens with the card game, that'd be a simple step that would go a long way.
when you compare weekly anime that have 30-50 eps in each era to 12 eps anime in each season
If anime has a lot of episodes that means low animation quality.

He's crossdressing, not doing drag.
Drag is about exagerating the features of the gender you are doing drag of. Drag would be about having exagerated makeup, exagerated hips and or breasts, etc.
Yuyu just simply looks like a regular cute girl, so that's crossdressing.

The hate and toxicity is getting out of hand. Come in, chums. You’re all better than this, but I suppose I’m being naive for thinking that. Of course criticism is ok, but there are lines we of the community DO NOT cross. I also feel bad for the writers. This level of poison is pathetic. I’m being realistic here: I can see the community either being split or erupt into something much worse, which I’m trying my best to prevent.
If you mean by the people constantly complaining that cards aren't being displayed in your face 24/7 then yes it IS getting annoying. Thank god the block function exists.

@@GoldRichness I agree people well it seems like they can't accept something different than what they are used to, Bushiroad since the beginning said this would be different and not connected to the previous Vanguard it's like a reboot of Vanguard but a lot of people don't seem to comprehend that. I wonder if they're all just kids or people that have fun trashing what others are enjoying either way I also feel sorry for the writers because I think the story its going to get even more interesting and the writers seem to have a plan but people keep complaining about how there's no monsters fights and some episodes there's no cardfights well that's slice of life for you that's being realistic but they don't understand. It's tiring trying to explain it and being bombarded by hateful comments
Pissed me off with people comparing this show to previous eras. I get it we all like the cardfight but the story is by far one of the most interesting storylines out there than the previous series. Have some patience and let things develop 🙏
What storyline ? Nothing has happened in two seasons. No other anime takes this long to do nothing outside of filler arcs

I understand them wanting to do more character focused episodes and less fights. I get it, a fight every episode gets tiring especially against some throw away character you know isn't going to win. But taking out all properly fleshed out cardfights just feels like overkill and alienates a lot of the original audience.
next episode will have a good fight it seems you can easily see which episode will have or not fights and this isn't made for the original audience the other animes was to promote the game so it felt more like a card game promoting anime , this one is completely different its made to be an anime with a real life card game called Vanguard so character development it's also needed, the purpose of Overdress is to appeal to people that aren't interested in Vanguard to make them interested by developing the characters more. And it works i know some people that had no interest in Vanguard and Overdress got them into it

This season so far has been a huge improvement over S1! I'm actually starting to get excited to watch OverDress weekly.

The moment the Butler hinted that they should go to Megumi's school, I knew right away that it would involve them showing up dressed as girls, but I did not expect Yu-yu to do Tohya's make-up ... Or for Tohya to end up looking so much like a girl ... Or the rest that followed, despite expecting wacky shenanigans

Even if there was no cardfight, I enjoyed this episode, it was funny. And I'm glad Megumi Bonafide Maria is back.
But I hope next episode we get a good cardfight to compensate with all the boring and lazy cardfights we got in the past episodes. But I have the bad feeling that next episode we will get a fight that will have a superficial battle in the early game, then we will get to see a meh animation of the grade 3's and someone will lose at the first Persona Ride.
