Dude the chat there and reddit was absolutely braindead, why the hell are people stoking the flames between youtubers and trying to dunk on them or whatever when we're in the middle of trying to fix a game
Ok finally valve did something just like last time. We've been here before. Last time they gave us a temp fix and tf2 was playable for a few months but unlike last we refuse to stop. Don't stop until we have a permanent fix for this. No more putting a band aid on the problem then kicking it down the road to deal with later. This is our chance to finally fix this game. we must take it and not squander it like last time.
Last time we foolishly thought that the issue was "Valve doesn't realize we give a rat's rear", and so once we saw an indication they heard, we thought "Valve's turn, good work!" Now we realize the problem is "Valve doesn't want to do their job fullstop", so we need to put down pressure until the end. Before we saw Valve as an oblivious player on the same team, now we see them for the disguised spy they really were.
I played for like 8 h yesterday, met only one bot it felt like fucking christmas ,game feels so god damn good, but I am sure we can do more with the #fixtf2
The spirit of FixTF2 will always be important. There is not going to be a single point where Valve is done fixing the game. It will be continual maintenance work for a while, probably for the rest of the game's lifetime (until Valve stops making updates and stops hosting their servers). The only direct response I expect Valve to make is a commitment to upkeep for as long as they monetize the game. If it's not directly stated, it will be implicitly shown through the results of the work. Either way, we should hold them accountable to that standard.
Here in Asia, there aren't too many bots. But in the last week they did show up a lot in games. Today as I log on, none are seen. I like this progress.
The number of accounts banned was actually 1000, the 16k was the weekly TF2 server restart that turns off a good percentage of the idler bots for like a few hours
The weezies debate with zesti is a bit out of context. Weezy havent slept for (i think he said smth like 30h?) So i wouldnt say that that debate was objective or sane from his side at most moments due to lack of sleep
Yeah, buddy was on 32hrs no sleep and addy too I believe. It definitely wasn’t his most level headed debate. In UFR he’s usually a little more articulate, but he seemed a bit ranty. I like Weezy (despite disagreeing with him on quite a few things) and will give him another chance, circumstances weren’t ideal. However I can see why some may have lost faith
@@doctormedic2682In UFR we was also doing pills, twice. Doesn't merit the benefit of doubt to me, but he definitely didn't need to stay and wasn't asked to either. The fuck up is on his own.
Man, seeing Harvest and Shoujin completely devoid of bots after so long is so gratifying since those are two of my favorite koth maps. This brings a lot of hope for the future, let’s keep pushing! #FixTF2
A few things to point out: 1. Shounic got his player chart out of the public stats from TF2, on a Tuesday, around the time where the Steam Servers go on maintenance for some time. Which could explain the dip in player numbers, this including bots of course since most accounts did log back in sequentially afterwards. So, take Shounic's video with a grain of salt. 2. This banwave could actually be something years in the making, by Valve, and just now released in time for the Summer Update (this has happened before). There is no evidence that the SaveTF2/FixTF2 movement had anything to do with this. Even if Valve did this indirectly to address the FixTF2 movement, we still shouldn't stop the protest. This was only a band-aid, we need AT LEAST a First-aid Kit here. Keep going, peeps.
Considering the amount of items still bought on the community market on Stem for TF2 yeah no Wheezy is right so far. Most TF2 players DON'T WATCH TH-camRS.
people talking about the boykott dont understand economics... and who is ACUTALLY making valve the most money its ironically the very people yall fighting against... the bot hosters and traders who make use of said bots not the random shmucks playing the game
Wait I just realized, why do I care about tf2? After the bot issue is resolved I'm just gonna stop playing because I have played for 900 hours and yet I am still garbage at the game.
Kind reminder that Weezy has a HUGE conflict of interest because his content depends on people giving money to Valve (MvM), the Zesty stream showcased why he is NOT to be trusted. Watch the ZestyAlt stream's highlights and see for yourself. Don't wait for no ""leaders"", boycutt YOURSELVES!
Weezy pretty killed the movement legitimacy for a lot of people the moment he went on a tirade how boycotting won’t work which yeah he was high on aderal but still he shouldn’t have jumped in like that he made not only himself but the other figureheads look like idiots which was already in question when thewhatshow kept on moving the petition submission date first it was July now august? I’m sorry but it’s just seems he has zero hope it’s gonna work and not saying his initial submission date when ya know the petition was released I’m not at all surprised people called into question of how effective it’s gonna be Look I’m a tourist but those 2 need to straighten there priorities out if your movement gonna be taken seriously again
i think all of the bot hosters & cheaters are getting banned becuase valve did pay attention to the game but always even if valve removes every single bot there will always be cheaters unless they hire people to be moderators in game sort of thing and spectate people for wallhack aimbot etc.
I've said it once before but I get where Weezy is coming from. Would a boycott work? No. Definitely not. It just wouldn't hurt their bottom line enough to warrant going for it. HOWEVER, don't give corporations money if you don't agree with their business practices. I personally have grown distant from Nintendo products ever since they've become more and more anti-consumer. Would that mean I should start a boycott? No. Even if I was popular it wouldn't do anything.
but we should do a boycott anyway. we lose nothing by trying a boycott, there's really no giant reason why we shouldn't boycott, even if it's effect is minuscule on valve's income and their games' economy as a whole, at least we did something instead of nothing. we really shouldn't be putting money into a product that is neglected and broken anyways, that's just common sense.
@@Crostil Well yeah, like I said, don't give money to anyone if you can't trust them. Even if we have nothing to lose, there's not a point to it. Just as a general rule of thumb, don't blindly spend your cash. I will add this here, the Call of Duty community did actually do a small boycott a couple years ago. I think it was around Cold War. As far as we could tell, we actually did hurt their bottom line for a year. What was their response? Did they make a better game next year? Did they fix the current? No! Instead they became more predatory with their microtransactions and made literal billions more than they did the previous year. Call of Duty now sky rocketed because of the very small boycott and has only become more predatory because of it. It's possible the boycott was not the cause of it but the fact it happened in response to it. I haven't bought a Cod since, personally. I can't support the franchise I used to love anymore.
People are talking about boycotting the CRATES. The crates are TF2s main money source. Ofc everything else as well, including the Steam Community Market, but primarily the crates.
Not going to lie Weezy needs to stop talking, WE NEED to boycott Tf2 if valve doesn't do anything ACTUALLY, what they did was a Bandaid. STOP buying stuff. the more we buy stuff the more Value doesn't have to fix the game since its STILL MAKING money in there eyes. They don't care about the community anymore. So we should not care about THEIR POCKETS PERIOD
Valve woke up? Cool, let's hope they aren't already back to sleep. The way Weezy constantly flip flops is getting frustrating. I have been boycotting Steam since June Third, should I come back? I've been itching to play DooM Eternal lately.
The nightmare is just gone temporarily it will be back. Valve really needs update VAC so badly. #savetf2 and #fixtf2 #saveCS2 #fixCS2 #Valve #UpdateVAC
“When Valve’s moderators finally arrived, it became a battle. A win-able battle.” Jokes aside, the reason half of this comment section doesn’t actively play TF2 is because of these bots. Valve has to know that. If they take out more of these bots, more humans will return.
I started playing tf2 a year and a half ago. I started playing after watching a few elmaxo and johnto spy psychology vids on TH-cam. Of course i head about tf2 before watching those vids but it wasnt until then i got motivated to play. I've never played bot free tf2. This shits weird
One thing I think Weezy mislooks is that it's not that we ALL have to not buy items from the game. Just significant chunk. If half of people who bought petition, won't buy anything from Valve on TF2 then it will be enough to make them move.
I think the boycott is less about whether or not it’ll ‘work’ and more about how it’s worth doing. As for the bot ban, it’s good but it’s also fishy. We haven’t won yet. This is just a handful of the actual amount of bots that bot hosters will easily replace, perhaps add even more bots than the amount that were banned. 17k implies they were banned manually, not with an anti-cheat that the game extremely-seriously needs. Valve probably expects us to ease back feeling satisfied, but no, we need to keep this train going. No double standards, no half-measures, no compromises. Just because we can play casual better doesn’t mean it’s over. We’re still seeing bots. Them just being a nuisance isn’t a victory, it only means we’ve gone back to the first few days the bots started appearing in the first place when it was more or less a bunch of teenagers looking for reactions and before it turned into a crisis involving attacking players in-game and criminally. As nice as it is to play casual like this again, not counting the _remaining_ bots, I can’t stress enough how we can’t treat this as a victory or a step forward. We must keep at it with the same level of conviction, determination and seriousness as if the bots are still 17k more than they are now.
First time that I have ever heard of a Saxxy being deleted. I know of the Golden Wrenches for cherity, but never a Saxxy. I am going to remain skeptical, it is to see if Valve will keep it up.
Sorry to say, but that's stopping no one... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize what the AFK in afk bots means, this is only opening up a whole new can of worms. Either valve remove market values, or this will never end, sadly.
Let us keep fighting, don't let the bot hosters come back in any shape or form. Valve has a long way to go in order to win back not just the faith from the TF2 community, but the the public's trust as well since there's already so many mainstream media articles about the bot crisis. Keep spreading the word, don't stop at nothing, and let our voices be heard! #FixTF2 #SaveTF2 #TeamFortress2 #Valve

This is our chance to finally fix this game. we must take it and not squander it like last time.
Last time we foolishly thought that the issue was "Valve doesn't realize we give a rat's rear", and so once we saw an indication they heard, we thought "Valve's turn, good work!"
Now we realize the problem is "Valve doesn't want to do their job fullstop", so we need to put down pressure until the end.
Before we saw Valve as an oblivious player on the same team, now we see them for the disguised spy they really were.
Let's not celebrate too early Maggets🇺🇸
Stay the course bois! We need to wait for the summer update before we rest!
Valve may have just gotten back on the treadmill, only question is will they keep on running?
FixTF2 is not over, it's just begun.
I played for like 8 h yesterday, met only one bot it felt like fucking christmas ,game feels so god damn good, but I am sure we can do more with the #fixtf2
Thank you, I love these little updates you do every day. It’s very important. You’re playing a huge part in this and I appreciate you. (:
There arent even that many servers lol i keep getting sent to singapore and kicked from uncletopia servers cause of ping
@@kunalchugh1977 I keep getting sent to hong kong... Maybe Asian servers are having a weird issue.
the saxxy is a sacrificial totem offered to Valve as tribute
Remember that #fixtf2 will likely end up being treadmill work, so keep at it!
Just because these bots are gone at the moment doesn't mean they won't come back
The number of accounts banned was actually 1000, the 16k was the weekly TF2 server restart that turns off a good percentage of the idler bots for like a few hours
@@doctormedic2682I agree we're still on the same side no point in dividing the movement or a argument.
#FixTF2
this is good news but to be fully on the safe side I'm going to wait a little longer until all the bots are gone

"Wave defeated, well done. Get to an upgrade station and prepare for the next wave."
A few things to point out:
Theory. #save tf2 is only here for boring tftubers achance to milk a decade old game
people talking about the boykott dont understand economics... and who is ACUTALLY making valve the most money
its ironically the very people yall fighting against... the bot hosters and traders who make use of said bots
not the random shmucks playing the game
YES YES YES WE FUCKING DID IT (not fully but something happened)
It seems that thanks to the Fix tf2 movement many other dead Game communities have been making their Own hashtags, like the MOST recent #Savepvzgw2
We are winning this and when these bots are finally gone the only problem left is David Zaslav #FireDavidZaslav

I've been waiting practically all day for my daily tf2 news, just so I can get a clear recap. Thanks a lot!
Weezy pretty killed the movement legitimacy for a lot of people the moment he went on a tirade how boycotting won’t work which yeah he was high on aderal but still he shouldn’t have jumped in like that he made not only himself but the other figureheads look like idiots
which was already in question when thewhatshow kept on moving the petition submission date first it was July now august? I’m sorry but it’s just seems he has zero hope it’s gonna work and not saying his initial submission date when ya know the petition was released I’m not at all surprised people called into question of how effective it’s gonna be
Look I’m a tourist but those 2 need to straighten there priorities out if your movement gonna be taken seriously again
zesty and richter overtime talking together has the same energy as ruben sim and turkey tom
i think all of the bot hosters & cheaters are getting banned becuase valve did pay attention to the game but always even if valve removes every single bot there will always be cheaters unless they hire people to be moderators in game sort of thing and spectate people for wallhack aimbot etc.
Oh hell yeah I missed last time when we passed overwhelmingly negative nice going!
I told u dont rush it man😭😭
I hope you got a good night sleep atleast
Thank you for keeping us up to date, Xob.
good news, but we cant stop #FixTF2 till all bots are gone
Next up: let's get f2ps their speaking rights back!
Hopefully we get f2p talk perms now
It's like changing a filter, it'll just keep getting dirty and the only way to prolounge it's lifespan is too fix the machine itself.
Gaben remembered the password to the servers
I can't support the franchise I used to love anymore.

thats so real of you to post this
hol on, lemme bop to the plok ost
All the doubters right now. 💀
"No response from valve at all' got so used to hearing you say that I actually miss it 😂
people really think 99% of the people buy stuff from steam community market and not 3rd party website that gives 0 dollars to valve
People are talking about boycotting the CRATES. The crates are TF2s main money source. Ofc everything else as well, including the Steam Community Market, but primarily the crates.
@@Pyrodiac oh I didn't know it was crates specifically but crates are dumb anyway
Im doing my part
Here in the Middle East l, I hardly see any bots
a saxxy was lost
My sentiment is "thanks", but stay cautious. I'm only going to get to enjoy it for 4 days because I'm going away.
Obviously they want you to believe everything is fine before they drop the summer crates, nothing else.
#FixTF2
Not going to lie Weezy needs to stop talking, WE NEED to boycott Tf2 if valve doesn't do anything ACTUALLY, what they did was a Bandaid. STOP buying stuff. the more we buy stuff the more Value doesn't have to fix the game since its STILL MAKING money in there eyes. They don't care about the community anymore. So we should not care about THEIR POCKETS PERIOD
BOTS ARE DEAD.
SANDWICH IS FUEL.
TF2 CASUAL IS FULL.
(keep them coming boys, we're not done untill valve does something official)
Valve woke up? Cool, let's hope they aren't already back to sleep.
The way Weezy constantly flip flops is getting frustrating.
I have been boycotting Steam since June Third, should I come back? I've been itching to play DooM Eternal lately.
If only Valve would utilize somethung akin to Riot's Vanguard which detects virtual machines and effecticely Hardware ban them.
The nightmare is just gone temporarily it will be back. Valve really needs update VAC so badly. #savetf2 and #fixtf2 #saveCS2 #fixCS2 #Valve #UpdateVAC
They hear us, they know about this movment. The Boycott is working they are worried to lose money. keep going untill they will #fixtf2

“When Valve’s moderators finally arrived, it became a battle.
A win-able battle.”
Jokes aside, the reason half of this comment section doesn’t actively play TF2 is because of these bots. Valve has to know that. If they take out more of these bots, more humans will return.
Do NOT stop pushing. If we do, Valve and their supposed allergy to actual work will take hold again. Keep. Pushing.
One (1) banwave isn't enough. The bots will come back and Valve will do nothing.
Do not stop the protest.
Do not spend money on tf2.
Lol, more proof of how incompetent this guy is. ZestyJesus and his colleagues ignited the fix tf2 movement and he is the man with the right mindset and leadership that we need in this movement. Forget about irrelevant TF2 politics, shork and weezy need to go.
