Jeez, that autumn leaf colour is just breathtaking... Respect for doing that ridge scramble, that already looked pretty intimidating from the footage alone. Still... I love seeing you back in the mountains and enjoying it.
I’ve been looking into this peak for a while and my research suggests the cross mountain trail approach is a much safer approach and should be considered the standard route on Gladstone.
sunshine mesa at wilson mesa trailhead is imo a better place to start, not only is it more beautiful, but you can bike a good amount of the flat portion and even all the way to cross mountain trail with some walking if your good enough, ditch the bike and do this scramble. No one is usually over there too. And there is some secret waterfalls most people don't know about in Bilk Creek but I am not going to expose them.

did this climb 20 years ago and forgot how hard it was! Being young and strong is important!
When you've climbed all the 14ers so you just start bagging the gnarlest centennials ☝️. RESPECT! Nice seeing ya back out there!
"This is class 4 and class 3...if you don't know what that means, maybe don't do this." Well said.
Amazing shots of aspens
That's a wicked ridge, looks much harder than most of the 14ers. Excellent footage of the climb. Good job!
Beyond my comfort level!

Appreciate it and I’m proud too 🤘🏽

The foliage this year has been 🫡 And thanks man really appreciate it, it feels so good to be back doing what I love.
Beautiful! The leaves are gorgeous!
Beautiful and tough hike. Going back is probably a little better I imagine since down climbing is more difficult
Going back was much easier and actually had a lot of down climbing but I just stayed directly to the ridge which was perfect.

Learned something new today, never knew that approach existed.
East face route. Seems to be getting more popular vs. north ridge
The east face is definitely way easier than the ridge for sure.

Is that first ridge and down climb required for this route? I thought Roach suggested a different accent to that closet saddle to Gladstone.
Well that ridge looks like it could crumble any day now.
It’s giving it its best go every day I can assure you.
