Looks great! Glad y'all were careful, 3 days after you were up there, a man fell to his death on the traverse. It's always a sad and sobering reminder to be careful up there when something happens. Anyways, on a lighter note, I recently backpacked the Blue Lakes Trail up the SW ridge of Mount Sneffels, which was absolutely stunning with great scrambling, if you haven't done it already. I'd highly recommend it, especially camping at Lower Blue Lake and getting to Blue Lakes Pass at sunrise. That sunrise is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Good luck on your remaining summer trips!
That young man did it 2 days after our traverse and fell 800ft to his death. Very sad. I did Sneffels SW ridge route a few years ago and it remains one of my fav 14er experience
Wow, what climbs! A jumble of rocks on El Diente. A craggy challenging traverse, happily on "solid rock." Nice panorama. Some small bouquets of alpine flowers. A chance to glissade. Thanks for tacking us along!
@@ruggedland i was on El Diente 6-22-2009. Wanted the Traverse but it still had a lot of snow on it. After seeing your video footage, so glad i turned back - thats a route best when dry 👣🗻 - You gonna do the 4 Great 14er Traverses!?
I may but it will take a while. Just did Maroon Peak yesterday and I was tempted to do the traverse but my partner didn’t feel comfortable about it so we ended up going down the same route. 2009 was a long time ago. You are one of those 14er old timers then
Great video! Great climbing! Great job! All of those boulders and loose rock looked torturous, dangerous, and slow-going. Did you find this day of hiking/climbing to be difficult?
Stunning photography👍👍👍
Thank you!

Thank you. Yes it was a challenging one, but we prepared well ahead of time and didn’t find too many surprises along the way
