I live in Laramie and I love watching your 14er guides. This peak has some of the best June snowboarding/skiing you can imagine. Until mid-late June you can skin across some pretty easy terrain which can cut the route down significantly. It's less than a mile from the highway to the base of medicine bow between sugar loaf. Then you can skin/boot-pack up or do one of the many steep couloirs. Such a great location for summer activities.
I recall driving through the Snowy Range as a child on a family vacation trip. I remember it as the most beautiful area we ever visited. Even from a car the mountains are so near and the views are breathtaking.
Discovered the Snowy Range on a motorcycle trip in the 1970s, blew me away... Be sure to check out the often 'overlooked' Bighorn National Forest/Cloud Peak Wilderness Area... Great footage, thanks for posting.
Just left Snowy Range last week, so beautiful. We babysat our grandkids so Mom and Dad could hike Medicine Bow Peak, they had a great time. We live in Iowa and this was our second trip to the area, a hidden gem.
I have a job that lets me drive the Snowy Range Road every Tuesday so I see Medicine Bow Peak every week and I've always wondered what the view from the top was like. There is a trail that goes in and around all those lakes and I've wanted to do that one for years. Very cool to see a bird's eye view to that area.
If you really want to blow your hair back, just go a little bit further north to the wind River range. We did Fremont Peak back about 4 years ago. It's legit.
Used to be a hidden gem. Now its overcrowded with Coloradans coming north who can't find a place to hike in the 14.5 million acres of National Forest that Colorado has to offer.
I think it’s one of the best day hikes in the country.

I was eyeing the snow lines when we were there, I can't imagine how awesome it would be to lap them.

100% - even if you aren’t able to hike, the drive alone through this area is worth it
Nature is so amazing and beautiful... this was just perfect, perfect weather, amazing scenery! Always glad to see you back in the mountains.
We are all very lucky to have the option to see nature in all its glory.
I did this hike today thanks to your video! Amazingly beautiful and a great hike! One hiker I passed was doing in barefoot!

Oh dang. I'm from Laramie. Med bow is great. I wouldnt call it a hidden gem though as it's pretty well known.
aria deserves the snow nibbles for being such a good pup if you are asking me...
She gets all the bellies and nibbles she wants. Once those blue eyes look at me, its over

Nah you are right, public lands are actually owned by the state they exist in.
Dude let your dog go! Imagine that you had an owner and they kept you on a chain all day, cruel.
