    Yes! Thank you!
    I've noticed a trend where people are accepting overharvested donor as a normal and even expected thing. "It's just shock loss, it will grow back". It CAN grow back, if it wasn't damaged with fue punch, but if it was - game over. No amount of Minoxidil would revive them.

    I was looking to get a hair transplant but then I came across this channel and the way they explained stuff about Minoxidil and Finasteride helped me choose that as a treatment. I’ve been on both for nearly a year and the results have been amazing! Going to do a 1 year update next month! Thanks Guys!

    I was wondering if you could make a video about a study that was conducted in 2003 by the Prostate Cancer Prevention Trial with regard to the increased incidence of high-grade cancer with the finasteride group as opposed to the placebo group. The study was updated in 2019 and those who published in the original study now state that "the early concerns regarding an association between finasteride and an increased risk of high-grade prostate cancer have not been borne out."
    Medical professionals who are vehemently against the use of finasteride for both androgenic alopecia
    and the prevention of prostate cancer seem to be against its use because it may mask the true PSA level of a person who is using the drug. Could you tell me whether the drug actually causes the cancer itself or if it simply masks one's PSA level and thus prevents a user of finasteride from treating the cancer before it becomes quite apparent that one has been afflicted by the disease?
    Recently, I have contemplated using the drug finasteride to combat hair loss and would like to use it 3 times a week as you doctors suggest. I am 30 years old and have told my general practitioner that I plan to take finasteride but before I do I wanted to take a PSA blood test so she gave me a requisition to go to a lab and get the test done. Once I start to take the drug how often should I have a PSA test conducted (yearly, every six months)? I have no family history of prostate cancer so I presume that is a good thing before contemplating the use of finasteride.

    thanks for the information Dr Jayaprakash. Im a doctor myself and have often asked my dermat colleagues about the effects of dutasteride on beard growth and rounding of the facial due to increased estrogen ( according to how the hormone cascade works ) . Relative to their experience , they havent heard of patients complaining of feminization( atleast noticeable characteristics ) but they had definitely seen reduction of facial hair in patients using the drug for 6 months and more. obviously this is anecdotal evidence , and there is no research to back them , but i would like your take on the matter .
    P.S : I am a dutasteride user too ( 3 days of fin 1mg + 0.5mg of dut ) a week.

    Hey guys I've been watching and love your videos. Could you please do a video on hairlines? e.g How transplanted hairlines should look, how high or low to place a hairline, how to correct a hairline that is too forward, making a hairline that will age well, etc. I've recently had a hair transplant and I'm really concerned that my hairline was actually too far forward and I'm unsure of what my options are for correction (if there even are any). Does laser hair removal work on transplanted hair? Do the frontal grafts need to be transplanted again? There's not much info on the internet.

    Does Minoxidil cause the transplanted hair to thicken so much so that if stopped applying that the thinning will be noticeable ?

  • @emilphoryew9436
    @emilphoryew9436 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The only hope this person has is to wait for hair cloning to thicken the donor region or do a transplant from the beard to donor region of the scalp. That will fill in the thinned sections. Worst thing to do is remove hairs. If hairs are damaged say from inflammation, in that instance there's even a better chance at regenerating those hairs as if there's any part of the mechanism of the hair still there there could be a possibility of recovery over time, especially if sebaceous glands and bulge cells are present to some degree.

      Its a temporary phase. Lower the dose but never stop using it. The life time of the hair you gained by minoxidil is depends on people but mostlt 8-10 months. Which means you will have that shedding phase in every 10 months but then the hair eill grow back as long as you use the minoxidil

    If you had FUT usually there’s patches around the strip scar (shock loss maybe due to the trauma of the incision) that makes it look wider, what about using Minoxidil on the scar to accelerate the growth and thickening of the hair around the scar to cover it? I’ve read it is a good idea to do so but also that I shouldn’t because minoxidil will irritate the scar and it is better to use a silicone based strip or a Pirfenidone gel to heal the scar quicker. What would be your recommendation regarding this??

I dont know about beard growth (i haven't noticed any change) since i started. I would suggest starting both minoxidil and finasteride as they have both reduced my hair loss a lot. When i started i was losing 20-25 hairs in the shower and another 20-25 when applying minoxidil. Now i lose maybe 3 at the most (including shower and applying minoxidil). You have a much greater chance of slowing down your hair loss significantly if you use both instead of just 1.

At first I thought it was from the gym but the pain feels like it’s in my lymph nodes. It’s this a sign or gyno? In its early stages. No pain in nipple, excuse my lack of knowledge however I think the increase in oestrogen may be causing some sort of pain in these areas like that experienced in women like PMS. Is this something to be worried about? Will it subside as my body adjusts to the increase in oestrogen. Or is it early gynecomastia

I realize there has not been a study on minoxidil and pregnancy. As I have a full year, I am wondering your thoughts on if I should get off minoxidil before I get off birth control, or would it be fine to stay on minoxidil until I become pregnant (realizing it can take months or years to conceive)? How long does the hair that has been regrown with minoxidil have after I stop using(would it be better to just get off now, stop the hair regrow the journey until after I deliver and stop breast feeding in 2023/2024? I am perfectly happy to continue using it for the rest of my life, but I realize I’ll ought to stop while pregnant and breast-feeding. in theory it would work becuase it will get blood flowing on the scalp but would also need to do it for a while and every day to see minimal results, more of an addon

      If you don't treat the root cause of your hair loss no matter how much you rub your scalp your hair will fall out, use finasteride to limit the conversion of testosterone to DHT, RU58841 (not FDA approved) is optional its a very strong androgen blocker on the area applied, derma rolling x1 per week, and minoxidil x1 per day, along with steroxedyl (optional) is the ultimate hair loss/regrowth stack. and for Shampoo ketoconazole 2% shampoo Nizoral (shittier cheaper option) or Regenpure DR better shampoo but only 1% ketoconazole.

    Hello Dr,
    Thanks for the informative show. Am in a region where I can’t get Finasteride 1mg, can I use the 5mg Finasteride drugs (which is readily available in here) and divide each tablet into 2 for daily dosage(2.5mg each). Will it work to stabilize my balding?

      @AmonEKO 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on people. Some people manage to stop hairloss with 0.5mg but some people doesnt get any benefit by using 5mg a week. It all depends on you, doctors cant know which dose you need. They will tell you to use "use 1mg every other day, if you get side effects, lower the dose. If you dont get side effects and it doesnt work for you, higher the amount you take". Thats the system so far i observes

      Yes essentially. The only different between the two would just be the shape of extraction. The process would be the same and as a result you would still be left with the same issue (if over harvesting occured)

    Can you help please! I’m 40+ and started have been using minoxidil for a year now. And in 2019 i was using laser comb but in 2020 summer i stopped using it. I used to keep my hair very short for 10 years and since March 2020 I started growing it. Last 2-3 month I’ve noticed that my hair is shedding a lot every morning when I comb or touch but I also noticed that i have a lot of short hair growing at the same time. Is this normal or I need to do something to my hair?

      Ensure u don't have dandruff, it destroys hair roots, shave ur hair and do pinching massage ,start with 5 mins twice or thrice a day and keep increasing the time, when ur head skin gets used to pinching massage increase ur time to 30 mins twice daily.
      Use Nigella seed oil....keep doing this for six months...ur hair will stop falling and start growing

      @@Hackhamster You really have to stop your hair loss before getting a hair transplant. Finasteride should be your friend if you're losing much hair at young age.
      If you do your HT now and fail to stop it, you might end up in a very bad situation with a little bit of hair in the front with nothing behind it.
