    Great job. Beautiful video! Just a comment, I just think the guy at 15:16 was not starting too low. I agree that you do not have too start too low, but not even too up-right. What do you guys think?

    Another great video guys! could you do a series of videos about how to work with a teammate? Must of us adult beginners come on to the beach solo, and then find ourselves with an acquaintance a partner. What are good principles of being a good partner - when to give (or when not to give advice) - when to take control (or when not to take control) of a play. Those mental tips are greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

    Awesome!
    For some guys it might be a slight problem that chips are too far from the net and the 3 steps approach after their timing steps will not allow them to reach the net

    Even though my platform and passing is pretty good, I learned soooo much from the information here. I havent found my hit timing in beach yet. (I only used to play middle in indoor and ran basically only 1s and 2s the whole time ...yeah, that and it was 20 years ago.) But this really gives me somewhere to start looking and where and when to use the timing step to find it. That and I need to make a pilgramage to Hermosa. ❤️🏖🏐

    good stuff man- just one question... as a VERY unorthodox player... I am left handed..kinda.. but hit right mostly.. WHY is the RIGHT foot 1st so important? I almost always lead left foot?

    • @malcolm_in_the_middle
      @malcolm_in_the_middle หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not about your first foot, but about your last foot. If you're hitting with your right hand, you should close with your left foot, so that your angle has your hitting hand away from the net. It's less important in beach, where you are generally more square to the net than in indoor.

    - try always try to be square to the net!
    - be really fast to get into position but be relaxed when passing the ball
    - shoulders rolled foward
    - don't move your arms as hell while contacting the ball! Instead try to move your whole upper body and keep your plattform in almost the same angle!
    - form plattform shortly before ball contact / be relaxed while getting the the ball to be able to move fast
    (being stiff makes you slow)
    - mind the timing step... go back into previous position before the timing stel or step a bit in / out depending on the setters position
    - try not pass the ball from being to low... it decreases your ability to move fast!
    - Do the timing step when the setter gets your pass.. not before!
    - don't try to receive balls on your knees if not absolutely necessary... it decreases your ability to dig properly
