I've a pertinent question to this video. I'm offered an SOL helmet at very low cost due to a stock clearance sale.
The guy is offering me a 2017 manufactured SOL 68SII at 3,400. But now, I seem to be having sort of ambiguity regarding the quality of that obsolete product, though the price is still very lucrative.
Now, the point is that, what should I do: should I spend my money on SOL helmet or will the equally priced, yet newer helmet with the likes of SMK worth spending money on?
Buy a new unit. Don't go for old stock
I'd suggest NOT to buy it...DON'T buy it. Save up some more and get a good one in new stock. Helmet life span is 4-5 yrs and why would you buy it at the end of its cycle? Also helmet lene ke baad dimaag mein compromised feel rahega

I have an SMK helmet, had paid about 4.5k. i do vouch for the quality, but the visor gets loose too soon. I did 2 replacements in 2 years. That's my only gripe with this helmet.

1 year+ on my twister visor is still as good as new

Now you get ISI certificate also. I got it today for 3400 INR from Delhi Karol Bagh. I got Medium and black color. I didn't wanted any print , but that can be personal preference.

I recently purchased the SMK Typhoon Thron GL136 Full Face Helmet for Bike(L) with high hopes for a safe and reliable riding experience. Unfortunately, what I received was nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did the helmet arrive with glaring faults, but the company's abysmal customer service left me frustrated, disappointed, and without a resolution.
First and foremost, the quality of this helmet is shockingly subpar. The moment I unwrapped it, I noticed several glaring defects that rendered it unusable. The visor was scratched and cloudy, making it nearly impossible to see clearly while riding. The helmet's padding was worn out and uncomfortable, leaving me with sore pressure points after just a short time wearing it. The ventilation system was practically non-existent, causing excessive sweating and discomfort during hot weather rides. To top it all off, the chin strap was defective and wouldn't stay securely fastened, compromising the safety of the helmet.
Naturally, I reached out to SMK Typhoon's customer service in the hope of a swift resolution to these numerous issues. Sadly, I was met with indifference and resistance from their representatives. Despite providing clear evidence of the faulty product and emphasizing the potential safety hazards it posed, they flat out refused to exchange or repair the helmet. It was a shockingly callous display of disregard for their customers' safety and satisfaction.
As a responsible consumer, I expected a reputable company like SMK Typhoon to stand behind their products and prioritize customer safety. However, my experience has shown that they are more interested in making a quick buck than ensuring the well-being of their customers. Their refusal to rectify a blatantly defective product is not only unethical but also demonstrates a complete lack of integrity.
I strongly urge potential buyers to stay away from the SMK Typhoon Thron GL136 Full Face Helmet for Bike(L). Its shoddy craftsmanship and the company's dismissive attitude towards customer concerns make it a hazardous investment. Spare yourself the disappointment and potential danger by seeking out a trustworthy brand that values its customers and prioritizes product quality.
In conclusion, my experience with the SMK Typhoon Thron GL136 Full Face Helmet for Bike(L) has been an absolute disaster. The helmet's numerous faults, coupled with the company's refusal to take responsibility, have left me with a sense of betrayal and frustration. Do yourself a favor and avoid this product at all costs. Your safety and peace of mind are worth far more than the inferior quality and abysmal customer service SMK Typhoon has to offer.

Update after 1 year: No damage to helmet except the plastic holding fabric loop on ratchet lock broke away on it own.
Helmet is noisy, need airplugs for 60+kmph riding.

@@priyamdasgupta8240 its noisy. Chin curtain is useless, slot for comms isn't airtight which adds to the noise and air gushes in from around where jawline meets the actual jaw. No noise or wind leak from visor, that is excellent. Ear plugs are absolutely needed when riding 60+kmph

Go to a sticker shop, the kind where they provide you with number for your number plates by stickers and ask them to make you an ISI logo and slap it on this.
