I was going to change my 2014 front back to stock. After seeing this. I’m just going to get a ZL1 hood. I love my carbon fiber hood,but the cowl lines not matching drives me crazy! Thanks for the close ups on the hood.

ZL1 OUTLAW PERFORMANCE E85 No upper yet. Upper might be in the future if I decide to stay with the stock blower. This was my first rounds of mods and I did them after I had the car for only 3 months haha. I built it to be a street animal and it is, as long as I keep yanking on Z06s and hellcats I’m happy. My ultimate goal is to get another 5th gen and get it to 1000 rwhp, pretty much same goal as you so I’m living through you until I get mine.
darrell blunt right on bro upper pulley would be nice. I’m sure your car is making a lot of power already. But if you decide to stay with your stock blower like me I’m getting Kong’s Performance to do the port job they said that’s good for 50 hp and then I’m gonna do a big cam in it from Lingerfelter performance and they said that’s good for another 50 that’ll be my next mod on my way to 1000 fly wheel horsepower! You can save thousands by porting your blower and you’ll get tons of power.

Cus I already bought the ZL1 for 40k but loved the way the six Gen bumper looked! Plus the six Gen ZL1 was 70k at the time and I was happy with the amount I paid and the amount of horsepower I got with it. Didn’t want to start over just for a front bumper look.

It’ll change by years but they’re very similar . Man your car is going to look sick if you put all these parts on it.I got to see this when it’s done

No, I don’t have a video but the six GEN fog lights were installed into the new six GEN conversion front bumper. Not the fifth fifth GEN bumper

One guy brought in his gen 5 and wanted to do this bumper swap but i wasnt a big fan because the body lines on the hood didnt match up to the bumper and he kept his old headlights so there was a big gap between the upper grill and lights

Jay D Yea mine is the ZL1 and the Hood lines up pretty good. And yes the original ZLone hood is very expensive. I sold mine in four hours on craigslist for $1000. I decided to go with a bad ass carbon fiber heat extracting Cal Hood

Ok another question you might can help with.i found the bumper and lights kit from ikon motors but it’s saying it won’t fit on a 2012 rs camaro so you think it will and if not what would be the issue trying to the 5th to 6th gen swap front end only???
Polo Jordan If you have a 2012 Camaro you will need the kit from ikon Motorsports for a 2010 to 2013 and the same for the front headlights.

How did you get rid of the lines on the bumper on top, that don’t line up with the ZL1 hood.
The hood looks like it fits perfectly for the SS hood but the ZL1 does not. From the stand point of the lines that are off set on the top.
Ryan Watson Yeah man those lines are never going to line up I think they were put there for the six GEN hood or something. That’s the only thing that’s off on my car are those two lines but everything else lines up perfectly so I can live with that

You did a very good job. But The bumper is way larger than the body. The Dynamics of the bumper outweighs the entire body of the car. In other words the bumper is too f****** big for the car. And it shows

How were you not impressed with the power?
I wasn’t impressed with the power because of my previous cars. One was my 750 hp nitrous Chevelle big block. And my other car was a 2001 mustang pro charged 23 pounds of boost 624 hp. Both cars were at least 300 or more pounds lighter than the Camaro. But I knew that with the Camaro the platform for building major horsepower. Horsepower that will well exceed the mustang and the Chevelle was there. All I had to do was wake it up. I’m not saying the Camaro was not a fast car stock but from what I was expecting for the price that I paid it didn’t give me that WOW Factor on my first full throttle PULL. But now as the Camaro sits today it is the fastest most ridiculous car I have ever owned!!!

i have a 2013 zl1 the kit says it doesnt fit do you know if the 2013 and 2014 zl1 front ends are the same thing man i am going to gave to do it if so any numbers i can contact thanks your car looks awesome

Can you break down how you got that spacer in there? I can’t get enough lift with mine
Zechariah Macaulay It’s going to be a quarter inch or more spacer maybe half inch. All you have to do is shut your hood to see what the difference is for the gap that you have to make up. Once you see how much gap there is get a spacer that’s about the same distance and put it underneath the front part of the lip on the upper part of the bumper and then screw it down.
