Pickups in denmark are way to expensive, We dont have cheap pickups like us and australia, on top of that it eats gas like an elephant eats trees and gas in denmark is not cheap. Nice vid and welcome to denmark hope you enjoy your stay...

The idea with replacing the trailer with a bigger car, is a very English speaking thought process. That type of car is more expensive, higher fuel cost just so you can use to haul stuff without a trailer once in a while. It is much cheaper to buy a car which suits your every day needs and use it with a trailer when needed.

In case it hasn't been mentioned in the comments yet, I feel like I need to correct you on the speed limits lest you get stopped by the police.
It is understandable if it can be confusing if you are unaware, but Denmark has a (apparently pretty unique) system where most speed limits are unwritten and will not be signed.
The rule is if you are in a town or city the speed limit is always 50 km/h if nothing else is stated. In rural areas the speed limit is 80 km/h and on the highway it is 130 km/h.
These limits apply unless signage tells you otherwise. If a sign is visible it overwrites the "standard" until the next intersection.

    • @TroelsNybo-j2t
      @TroelsNybo-j2t 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

We have general speed limits and have had for decades. Like you tell, this fact may be unnoticed exactly because we do not put up unnecessary signs.

The hook for the trailer is commonly known as a "Jyde-krog" (Jute-hook) because most people in Jylland has one on their car. We forgot to check for that last time we bought a car 😞- but luckily we have two cars so no worries still able to use the trailer... 🙂

With a trailer, you can "disconnect the bed" when not in use. If you use the bed almost every time, a truck makes sense, although a van is probably better suited for Danish weather. In the opposite case, a trailer, in my opinion, makes more sense and allows any car to do truck stuff (minus the off-road capabilities).
An empty bed doesn't do your mileage any good, and even with a cover, things still get dirty back there, unlike a trunk.

The whole cinnamon thing is dangerous. Cinnamon powder is extremely fine and can make its way through your skin as a result, just like it can get stuck in your lungs and eyes. :/ That's why even with dosing the person in water first (to make the powder lumpy) it can still negatively affect their health. It's common to cause irritated and itching skin, which is among the lesser ills.
But yes, the cannon is an accident waiting to happen; cinnamon burns really well.

Københavnere/'insert nearest city boys' II' scratched into the driver side door. I've caught 3 or 4 so far in various iterations. Starting to think it could be the 'I gave up on the restoration' signal. Old man had an 80s Hi-Lux growing up, with the Toyota go faster stripes. Yellow plates help. They help, they don't cover the difference but they do help lol. Set up the channel as a business and you have work related reasons for driving the company car whenever* (this is not financial or legal advice lol). Sadly we can't set up with a few chickens and call ourselves farmers any more but there's room for the creative necessities. When you get to buying a boat - there's wiggle room too.

We dont use gravy on potatochips, unless its around Christmas... But when we do, we do it big time!
And we dont have free speed on "rural" roads either. Some seem to think we have, but its between 60-80kph, depending on the signs.
As a general, its 80kph if no signs around. But insert your brain, before doing that. A tractor might pull out, and then... well, your fucked.
Trailers... yeah we have quite a few. Yutes or pickup-trucks arent that common here. - Most people that can legally drive with a trailer, cant reverse it. Its quite funny to watch.
But dude, welcome to our tiny country. Take care of your family, and stay safe.

I got an airfryer a while back when I had a hanking for fries.
It helps to avoid some of the fat, but I think the frozen fries are already treated with some unhealthy oil, and making fries yourself is a bit complicated, and defeats the idea of the food being easy to make.
But at least it's a step in the right direction if you're picking "grill food".
I really like a "pølse mix", if you haven't tried that yet.

I can make a pølsemix in my air fryer.
      So that's a lot cheaper.
      And a little more healthy.
But that's still not something to do often.
I like to make large soups in my 10L pot.
It stretches the money and is something I don't have to watch.
So the prep time is mostly cutting veggies.
Due to meat prices I tend to make cabbage, chicken and curry soup.
A 1,3kg chicken for 40 kr. and a large cabbage head, and I'm well on my way to a thick soup.
Fry some bits of bacon, add those and the fat.
Some extra frozen veggies (broccoli and cauliflower usually).
Curry, paprika, chili and maybe som barbeque spice and some boullion cubes.
Top it off with some low fat cream after it has been simmering a long time and everything is cooked well.
And personally I like to add some Hermesetas artificial sweetener, because it really enhances the flavor.
And some cheap ciabatta bread goes well with it.

The cinnamon and pepper thing: Never heard of it, and I've lived in Denmark for 68 odd years. Ans some evens, too.
About the bøfsandwich: Never saw, let alone ate anything like what you showed us. This is not a critique! I just think you live in Ribe or Tønder, or somewhere close to the german border. Come, come to Copenhagen, København, and you can eat real food! More choices in a more globally oriented part of the world. Seems like people in Jylland (Jutland) are still back in the sixties, when America was progressive........................
Potato chips with brown sauce: see comments above. Never heard of it. I live in the capital city.
About driving: Now I know you're just joking. I admit you're funny, or fynno if you will. We also have the famous flying cows delivering milk shakes to people with diabetes...
About the trailers: We here in Copenhavn call it "jydekrog", Jutland or jute hook. Because you have them in Jutland predominantly. Nice thing in the country side. And it confirms my theory about your "situation"...
And I saw the sign saying Skjern, which puts you in the area of Ribe again. One of the oldest towns in DK.
I wish you good and better luck, and welcome to our kind of crazy!
    Nice music, too!
