Especially for peeps in Jutland, those trailers are for going south of the border to Germany to buy cheap sweets, beer and so on
Welcome to Denmark,
On a note. The "pepper and cinnamon" is only a tradion that happens in "rural parts or between people from those rural parts that move to the cities. The rest of us do not do this, and look at that tradition with disdain.
Listen closely in eastern denmark a bøfsandwich does not have brown sauce and chips with brown sauce is a crime
Havent put out a video for a while, how are things going? Maybe a short update video. Hope you both are doing well.
dude you are funny
Trailer hook. Is called a JYDE KROG.
great video , funny , ironi , hope your family like here , have a nice day✌
Shoutout to myself for guessing this was Skjern just from seeing the cobblestone, and the square.
Jylland, so much Jylland! And then there is Denmark... 😀
42 yr old single dane from Copenhagen here.... I was never "seasonned"... It is more a rural thing.... and I never heard of anyone eating gravy on chips... LMAO... I do however eat cheese on my nutella sandwich and remoulade on my leverpostej sandwich...
My best advise? There is cancer organisations. Get in they can help you navigate the system.
are you the voice behind korg from thor? You sound alot like him, like its UNCANNY! like WOW!
As usual, when I read or hear foreigners describing Denmark, I find it difficult to recognize their perceived reality. Has it something to do with my age or the fact that I live in a village 10 km to the west of the Jelling stones?
Ja kage er altid godt.
In case it hasn't been mentioned in the comments yet, I feel like I need to correct you on the speed limits lest you get stopped by the police. It is understandable if it can be confusing if you are unaware, but Denmark has a (apparently pretty unique) system where most speed limits are unwritten and will not be signed. The rule is if you are in a town or city the speed limit is always 50 km/h if nothing else is stated. In rural areas the speed limit is 80 km/h and on the highway it is 130 km/h. These limits apply unless signage tells you otherwise. If a sign is visible it overwrites the "standard" until the next intersection.
We have general speed limits and have had for decades. Like you tell, this fact may be unnoticed exactly because we do not put up unnecessary signs.
The idea with replacing the trailer with a bigger car, is a very English speaking thought process. That type of car is more expensive, higher fuel cost just so you can use to haul stuff without a trailer once in a while. It is much cheaper to buy a car which suits your every day needs and use it with a trailer when needed.
@WhatisBrendanuptonow - As @mathiasiversen7848 says, check the yellow card, if you have it. If it says "Klasse 1", basically everything exempt experimental treatment should be covered. There is also a blue card, but I think its just for EU-residents, and it might just be for emergencies. And I honestly feel for you dude - I lost my own mother to cancer when I was 12. And she did... well, every possible thing that I can imagine. If I had it, Id gladly give it.
You´re right about it all😂 So funny watching this as a Dane🤣
Føj Mette - skam dig.!
There's no brown sauce and pickled beet root in or on a bøf sandwich.
Best wishes to your wife and you. My sister is going through the exact same thing atm.
Bøfsandwich ?ive heard of it , is it from jylland only ?
This is Jylland it’s a whole different country from Sjælland 😂
Sorry for the like. It's nothing that i like, Breast Cancer. I hope you'll get through it and that it'll end up as a minor bump on the road. No worries mate 😎🙏🏼
We don't do that gravy stuff here in Copenhagen...
Being a Dane and lived here for many decades I don't recognise a lot of this. Must be very local.
As if moving countries isn't stressful enough! God bedring til Sarah.
With a trailer, you can "disconnect the bed" when not in use. If you use the bed almost every time, a truck makes sense, although a van is probably better suited for Danish weather. In the opposite case, a trailer, in my opinion, makes more sense and allows any car to do truck stuff (minus the off-road capabilities). An empty bed doesn't do your mileage any good, and even with a cover, things still get dirty back there, unlike a trunk.
I don't get it ?. If you have a yellow card and CPR number you should be covered.
As a native Copenhagener (Københavner) these customs seem just as alien and strange as it might to you 😅😅
We dont use gravy on potatochips, unless its around Christmas... But when we do, we do it big time! And we dont have free speed on "rural" roads either. Some seem to think we have, but its between 60-80kph, depending on the signs. As a general, its 80kph if no signs around. But insert your brain, before doing that. A tractor might pull out, and then... well, your fucked. Trailers... yeah we have quite a few. Yutes or pickup-trucks arent that common here. - Most people that can legally drive with a trailer, cant reverse it. Its quite funny to watch. But dude, welcome to our tiny country. Take care of your family, and stay safe.
Welcome to our contry 🎉
So you live near Skjern, huh? Go to Stoppestedet for your next Bøfsandwich, it's so much better then Ringvejens Grill. Can't even compare.
This is so Jylland coded
Why do you get treated in Germany when its free in Denmark ?
Det er så jysk som det kan være, Legoland, brunsove på chips og bøfsandwich, trailer osv.. XD
Jeg er sikker på at I bor i Jylland. Det meste af det her, finder ikke sted på Sjælland eller i de større byer
So sorry to hear this, and the cost is bad. I think it must be, because your not danish, we get all for free. Danes get an once payout from the State of 100.000 kr when diagnosed with cancer. Maybe try to find out, if you can get that too.
..got to make a small correction to that peace of information: A lot of Danes have a Kristisk sygdom / critical illness insurance through their private pension plan - an insurance that typically pays out DKK 100K if you get one of a number of illnesses that is considered life threatening - not exactly a payment you wish to benefit from, but still nice to have if "lightning" strikes. However, this is not a payment from the government / state, but a private coverage you must have in order to receive the payment. If Sarah is employed in Denmark, you may want to check the company´s pension plan and what it includes. I am fighting recuring cancer my self and I am sending Sarah & your family all my prayers and best wishes.🙏
The classic Steak sandwich from 1949 is without brown sauce.
Is Danish fast food really that vile these days? That bøf sandwich!!
we are not "abroud"... you are...
Very nice video! The cinnamon and pepper thing: Never heard of it, and I've lived in Denmark for 68 odd years. Ans some evens, too. About the bøfsandwich: Never saw, let alone ate anything like what you showed us. This is not a critique! I just think you live in Ribe or Tønder, or somewhere close to the german border. Come, come to Copenhagen, København, and you can eat real food! More choices in a more globally oriented part of the world. Seems like people in Jylland (Jutland) are still back in the sixties, when America was progressive........................ Potato chips with brown sauce: see comments above. Never heard of it. I live in the capital city. About driving: Now I know you're just joking. I admit you're funny, or fynno if you will. We also have the famous flying cows delivering milk shakes to people with diabetes... About the trailers: We here in Copenhavn call it "jydekrog", Jutland or jute hook. Because you have them in Jutland predominantly. Nice thing in the country side. And it confirms my theory about your "situation"... And I saw the sign saying Skjern, which puts you in the area of Ribe again. One of the oldest towns in DK. I wish you good and better luck, and welcome to our kind of crazy! Nice music, too!
Отличная работа! Гдето на грани ка,ественного ремонта и реставрации
My god, where in Danmark did you land? Far out in the countryside, it looks to me😂
Tysklands Odde..
Fuck off, we're full!
If you think about it, a pickup truck is just a hatchback with a trailer permanently attached to it. 99% of the time the truck bed is not in use, so why not detach it and save gas?
We Danes are quite a strange tribe, and you have a great eye for it! Welcome.
All the best wishes to Sarah and the whole family!
Welcome to Denmark, hope you and your family, love your stay :)
