Back in mid 2022, Geely introduced a significantly upgraded Coolray/Binyue in China - the Geely Binyue Cool. We’re talking new 4 cylinder engine, bigger instrument and center touchscreen, facelifted front and rear so it was a huge improvement. Does anyone know if Geely will be releasing that in export markets?
Got mine weeks ago. So far...so good. Sulit sa features at sa lakas ng makina plus porma loob labas walang tapon. Reliability nalang talaga ang tanong since bago pa sa market. ✌️

Since 2018 pa yan nagumpisa yung manufacturing ng Coolray at 2019 mismo pumasok yung Geely sa Pinas with the Coolray na yung unang labas. Yung piesa na yan nagawa na yan by the time tsaka may "black market" naman kase yung Geely. At yung Geely may experience naman talaga na brand.
The Coolray is turning 4 years old in the Philippines now. Maybe it's time for the newer design to come out. It's still very good though, the tech, the best in class engine, but it needs to add the AEB and rear AC vents that the international version has.

You are correct on the interior space Roy, the Chineese can pack in features with Turbos and dcts for a good price but they suck at interior packaging for cargo especially. You shouldnt have to get a car as large as a Okavango to get decent cargo space. This vehicle is in the same class as a Seltos but a Vitara which is a smaller car and a segment below has a more useable trunk. This car is great if your single or a family of two who occasionally take friends out of town but the moment you throw kids into the mix this car loses the plot.
you'd be surprised to know that the cars of that segment that really has the "good cargo space" is still Chinese beneath that branding. Don't let the Japanese/American or whatever badge fool you.

@@mindfreeze0838 Ford Territory. Maybe not the new-gen (idk yet but it's just probably assembled in China). It's not the biggest in the segment but it sure as hell is Chinese. And yes, the Haval H6 trunk is massive - a Chinese car too. I guess it just so happened that the trunk space of the coolray isnt the biggest. I went from a Vios to a Coolray myself and the trunk space - isn't actually all that bad.
@@fludster if the previous gen has the same dimensions as the current gen Territory then its still sub par for the size(not liters, that doesnt mean anything tangible). Not knocking your purchase of the Coolray(congratulations on that btw) but be prepared to play luggage tetris when you have to move, carry persons on holiday or just life and load in general, small trunks are hard to live with. The cargo capacity balance is not something the Chineese have worked out yet imo.

The true 23 model has a stronger 4 cylinder 2000cc engine, a much bigger display replacing the 2 smaller displays, a redesigned Front and Tail with lights from side to side. However it's not yet in the country.
I'm gonna wait for another 10 years to see how Geely's quality will hold up. if it is at least at par with Hyundai or Kia, it is worth considering. but for now, I'm sticking with Toyota or Mitsubishi (for all vehicles) or Isuzu (for Pickup trucks & SUVs).
Dont have one but if you do your research, Geely has been around in other countries fpr decades already and they seems reliable. Furthermore, if I'm not mistaken, they have a 5yrs warranty compared to the 3yrs warranty of Japanese cars. I own a Honda btw and I was just like you before but when I did my research, I said I should have stretch my budget and got this instead.

Mahilig kase ako sa sasakyan kaya pinagcocompare ko mga sasakyan ng mga kaibigan ko. Ok sa performance geely pero kong reliability na pag uusapan parang mapapa No talaga ako

i dont think the raize is a direct competitor of geely..pricewise there's already a big difference..its only a 1.0 engine running at around 90hp max...its only inline with suzuki espresso..

Not sure about this because the side bumpers are functional. It has holes so air would pass to the wheels and brakes upfront.
