Great video. Not only does it show the use of the bait dropper but also, and I think much more impressive, the devastating attraction of hemp. Bait droppers are probably one of the most overlooked pieces of fishing equipment ever.
Interesting to see how the fish move around the bait (explains those plucks you sometimes get before a take) and appear to be drawn in by the activity of the other fish. They move in and start feeding almost immediately too and don't seem to be spooked off by the disturbance of the dropper (which as an angler I find encouraging!). Recently I cast out with a 3oz running lead and 15mm boilie after feeding some hemp ground bait, mixed pellets and a couple of handfuls of boilies, standard stuff, I barely had time to put the rod in the rest and had a fish on. The lead must have landed on top of the fish more or less, so clearly if there is a group of them feeding confidently it can take more than a splash caused by your lead/feeder to put them off.
Hi Jason i used a weighted housing with a camera inside. If i was using go pro i would get an adapter to get go pro thread into a piece of bankstick, think terry eustace does them, then glue the bankstick into a small piece of paving slab maybe 6 by 6 inch, you will need to drill hole into paving slab.
No problem I have been using a dropper on the trent this year, they can be cast at least to mid river if required, I just add a bit of extra lead around the bottom weight to get it down quicker in the fast swims. I always have a spare rod setup just for droppering. Sometimes I re-dropper whilst my other rod is in the swim. Better fishing your own bank closer in more accurate baiting equals more fish. Hope that helps
@@StuWalkerFishingAdventures I never thought of using another rod for the baitdropper, (stupidly!) but that makes sense, to bait drop while your other leger rod has a weight/bait in the swim. in my defence I'm fairly new to it, but many thanks for this vid, and tips! appreciated.

Never tier of seeing fish feeding, let alone catching them as they are so graceful. Good little video.
Brilliant, its great watching them feed and i was amazed at how quickly they all came, great vid cheers.
... thanks for your efforts, if this technology was available 30 years ago, my life could be more easy.

Super footage. Now I just have to persuade my wife to buy me the videos for Christmas....
great video, what river is this?
Hi. How did you get the camera into the spot you were in? Have a gopro and would like to try something similar to scope the layout and bottom.
