    I bought the Fosi Audio TB10D as my third Randy recommendation. Amazon had the big coupon this past week so it was $60. The other two are Elac bookshelf speakers and the Schiit $99 DAC. I now use them in combination and I am blown away by the sound. Even though it currently lacks a remote sometimes I use it as a soundbar replacement and sometimes I use pieces with an old AV receiver and a CD transport. For SIXTY bucks the TB10D is crazy. I am older than Randy so I remember first hand the size of the old hifi systems in the 70s and I cannot get over the sound quality out of these tiny footprint systems. This channel is amazing and the dollar value I have received for such a tiny investment in this crazy economic modern world is unbelievable. THANK YOU RANDY.

    My golden era 80’s Onkyo receiver is my favorite cheap “amp” ever! Plenty of power and fantastic sound quality. She loses a bit of detail at high volume but it’s a moot point as my neighbors would call the Police & I’d seriously damage my hearing.
    My father can remember lusting over the same receiver when I was a kid…..trip.👌🇺🇸

    Randy please review the Aiyima T9 Pro. It's a redesigned model that also addresses a lot of the complaints people had about the T9.

  • @yoster77

    So correction on using a T8 with the A08 pro. Adjusting volume on the T8 (running to the A08 pro) will indeed adjust sub volume as well. Adjusting volume on the T8 adjusts the input voltage going to the RCA's on the A08 pro. Which in turn affects the volume of all the outputs on the A08 pro. I keep my A08 pro volume dial at a constant high-ish level and use the T8 to control everything (since it has a remote.) Sub is plugged into aux-out on the A08 pro.

    I picked up the AIYIMA A08 PRO(which does have Bluetooth, by the way) last Christmas, because of Randy's review, and it drives the heck out of my Klipsch F-300s. Paired that with my Fluance RT85 turntable with a Fosi X3 tube pre-amp(also a Randy mention) and the sound is OUTSTANDING.

    I have one thing to say about the T9, im using two audiovector floor speakers, smaller size ones, and at minimum volume its not quiet, its a good tv listening level, and i CANNOT go lower, so if you want some quiet music in the background, the T9 might be too loud depending on your speakers

    The Douk ST-01 Pro does it for me.
    Tried Fosi, Sure, Aiyima etc.
    The ST-01 is very clean and clear and warm without harsh digital sound.
    Imaging is outstanding and soundstage is beyond wide.
    Tone controls help tremendously on this integrated amp.
    Internal DAC is good and lots of input options.
    Price just jumped 16% with no explanation. W.T.F@Ck?
    The tubes are in the pre-amp stage signal path. Tubes don’t need to be matched pairs. Swapped for one of the many NOS alternates listed with good results.
    This amp coupled with better speakers and using BT (sorry Randy, I said it) phone source is all you need!
    It drives floor standing speakers with ease and sounds better than the others even with Wiim/Schiit DAC.
    Oh yeah, remote functions perfectly.
    This is my favourite Cheapaudioman reviewed cheap Chinese amp.

    I just ordered the Arylic B50 ($139) for our guest bedroom because it has HDMI ARC and a phono preamp. It'll be connected to a small TV, turntable, and a pair of vintage IMF Super Compact II speakers. Really looking forward to finding out how it works & sounds.

      Hi @Neight, interested to know your experience regarding Arylic B50. Curious to know whether the bluetooth receiver and transmitter in B50 can be used at the same time where I can use my mobile phone or smart tv as streamer and pair my bluetooth headphone/speaker with B50 as output device. Thanks in advance.

    • @DarthSculpin
      @DarthSculpin ปีที่แล้ว

      @@amitbikramjana9527 I haven't tried using either Bluetooth receiver or transmitter mode. I just have it connected to a TV & turntable and some Nice vintage passive speakers. I thought I had an issue with HDMI ARC working properly until I figured out I had to set my TV audio output to PCM stereo mode. Other than that it has been really great.
      Back to your question, if you're streaming from your TV the transmitter would be fine. I might have read that you can't stream via Bluetooth and transmit at the same time. But, why not just stream from your phone directly to your headphones if that's going to be your source anyway?

    Hey mr Cheapaudioman, thank you for reviewing these cheap amps , your channel is just awesome! I picked up an A-07 and really didn't care for it. Returned it, picked up an T-09 and it deff impressed my for the price. I was setting up a system for my brother who was super price sensitive. Ran a few DACs on it and it resolved each. He's going to use the onboard and has room to grow. Was pretty happy after my initial A07 disappointment.

    • @Zimmy_1981

      @Andrew Moonman I yes I see. I never had that issue, then again I don't listen to analogue sources. I listen to mostly compressed YT songs, most of which are old and impossible to get as lossless. Maybe that explain why u had issues and I didn't?
      Mine sounds clean, clear, crisp and detailed. I did make adjustments in my premp's tone controls though.
      I much rather the QSC's overall output but comparing a good old school pro amp to a cheap daily mini amp is unfair. Thanks for the input and thanks for not laughing at my gear mate (some audio fans can be snobs)

    For those who like vintage- I really like my Onkyo A8190. It’ll run you like 250$ which can be a bit out of some peoples range, but the contrabass setting and very clear lows are amazing. I do love the newer Yamahas though, even the low tier ones. All of them produce good highs and solid lows

    Hi there mate and thank you for your awesome videos, a cheaky question if you don't mind. I've finally gone against my norm of using powered bookshelf speakers, Micro lab solo 7c, and gone for the Fosi audio bt20a powering a set of Auna Reference 601's, running via aux to my TV, the combo is awesome, and I'm blown away with the build quality and sound from the speakers but they're lacking in some warmth and a bit more depth, what would be my best option. Add a mini eq or a tube preamp, ideally for 100 bucks or thereabouts. If you could get your hands on a set of the Auna Reference 601 floor standing speakers, they're built like a tank with Two 16.5 cm (6.5") woofers and a 16.5 cm (6.5")midrange and a 2.5 cm (1") tweeter for 200 bucks, I went from Auna direct with shipping from Germany to the UK I only paid 130 bucks. I honestly think that you will be pleasantly surprised on how good they are

    I bought an Emotiva BasX A2mini that I am really impressed with. $279 and 50 watts of power into 8ohm with very low distortion. Don't know better or worse than the amps listed, but this thing is kick ass good if you can live with the limitations: a single line in and no tone controls. I use it with the J2 DAC and Wiim Mini. I just picked up an a08 at Walmart for $106, free shipping, 5% off by using my Walmart card online. Total price $101. Delivery in 3 days. I'll be using it with my debut 5.2 and monoprice 12 in my bedroom. Better price and smaller footprint than a Sony 190, more or less the same power. Bluetooth, cd player, lower noise and distortion than the 190, but no phono, remote or fm. Perfectly adequate for a bedroom or desk stereo. Total system cost about $425. Not as good as my main stereo, but not horribly far behind for about 15% the cost.
    Btw, nearly every recording board has several dozen 5532, so your music has already passed through like 100 of them before you ever get a chance to hear it. It's very much the standard chip for nearly all pro audio. If the 5532 sucks then nearly all recorded music sucks. But you go ahead and change them out and convince yourself it sounds better. If it makes you happy it can't be bad, or so the pretty lady with the addiction issues who just wants to have some fun assures us.
    Most of these featured amps are available at Walmart for less money. Less than ebay or Amazon, less than the price you quote. It's a mistake to not shop Walmart. They're determined to beat Amazon, so let them bribe you. Personally, I'm a total slut.
    The aiyamas require a linear power supply, which is $$$. You can pretty much forget about the optional 48v 12a 600w upgrade. You're not allowed to use a $36 switching supply. It will cost you a few hundred to upgrade to 300w/ch. These are what they are, and at this price point that's just fine. Live with it.
    Thanks for the leg work.
    You might consider a few more options for inexpensive subs. My monoprice 12 is about 40-250hz, $115. Not a great match for $1500+ speakers, but just fine for 5.2, 6.2, 3020i, emotiva, klipsch bookshelves. For the pricier stuff svs is a better match of course. Or hsu. Or rel.

    Wow, with the AIYIMA T9, it would be a great low cost way to take a tube amplifier for a spin! Thanks CAM! I hope to maybe pair it with the 90db efficient BIC America DV62si speakers for an office / spare bedroom setup. That Johnny Cash "Hurt" rendition I believe rates in the top ten best of cover songs ever made. It's so sad my wife has forbidden me to play it when she's in the house! The other sad song banned in her presence is an original called "Morse Code" by Reina Del Sid (feat. Josh Turner). Tried to convince her that sad songs would sound better (less sad) on an upgraded system. Sadly, that didn't work.

    Looking for your suggestions for some extra speakers I have. I have a 2014 iMac with no external speakers and I have a Pioneer VSX-520 surround sound receiver connected to our kitchen/hearth room TV with no rears in use.
    Extra Speakers:
    Realistic Minimus-7W pair which I purchased new circa 1980, 40w
    Memorex WM 200 pair which came with the house, 10-50w RMS
    Technics SB-W33 passive sub, 200w
    I was thinking about using either pair of extra speakers as rears for the kitchen/hearth room and the other pair for the iMac with the sub and Fosi Audio BT30D. I don't want to spend a ton on an amp. I was thinking of using the Minimus 7's as rears in the kitchen/hearth room since we do not turn up the volume high and the Memorex's for the iMac. But, after connecting an older class AB amp to the same speakers and sub woofer I have to say the A07 has been given a "pink slip" and is unemployed for now. Since I've made that move I now wonder if a "balanced" DAC --> preamp --> amp set-up would bring more sonic pleasure to the audio table. Would you consider a test/review/comparison of such gear? Thanks and all the very best, Kevin

      These cheap amps are great for the money. If you want to step up a lot while on a budget, get an older set up. I like the older Harmon Kardon stuff like all of the citations, pa2400, hk870, etc.. What amp are you using? What speakers?

    • @welderfixer
      @welderfixer ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ufarkingicehole I wholly agree these amps fantastic for the money and your Harmon speakers must be great. My late uncle used to have a full set-up of NAD gear. As kid I was in awe of it. When I was so generously given a NAD 214 amp I was overjoyed! (I must return the favor very soon - very long over due.) I tried this amp on several speakers and loved it on all. Even though I was satisfied with the A07 at my office desk while it powered the Polk TSi100 speakers thru my Emotiva SE8 sub woofer, I decided a month ago to try the NAD 214 in place of the A07. The 214 has a much more dymamic audio delivery from low to high. I feel I no longer need to find someone else's audiophile class system to compare my system to. This seems like end game for me. However, I keep hearing Alice calling from down the rabbit hole....... 😁

      ,@@welderfixer Nice man!
      I was referring to the old HK amps being great. The older HK speakers were ok. NAD has made some really nice gear. I am guessing The class AB will probably give more "amperage" making the sound fuller and more dynamic. Polk has made some winners over the years. I have not heard the emotuva subs but I did try a pair of Zeros. The top was fantastic. the upper to lower mids had something missing. The bass was better than it should have been. I bet the sub is great. It's a journey for sure. You will likely do what all of us do and want to upgrade sooner than later. 😆

      @@ufarkingicehole Sorry I forgot that HK made amps. I should have looked up the models. My bad.
      I guess I'm a bit hooked on NAD now and I am kinda looking for deals on their older gear, but I really can't afford anything other than basic family survival necessities until I get my income much higher. Seems impossible these days.
      A couple years back I did buy a pair of Emotiva T-Zeros and I hear exactly the same output from them as you did. The mids are all but missing. I still enjoy them though.
      Please have a great day and all the very best to you and yours, Kevin

    These amps are great but they only offer one RCA. Is there a way to solve this problem? The DACs typically also only have one RCA input. I have an Aiyima A08 Pro and it's great but I really need more RCA inputs. Tired of plugging and unplugging cables all the time.

    I just got the Arylic B50 and I’m making speaker cable (per your diy speaker cable video) while watching this. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this B50, it’s got HDMI ARC and aptX HD. I put two HDMI cables in the wall behind my TV so I won’t see any cables coming from my smart TV…. Just these pesky speaker tables going to my used RP600m (gen1). Hopefully I’m not “kissing a frog” with this amplifier haha

    Big Rand, talk me through this. Ok so I downloaded a program for my MacBook called Boom3D. It alters music to boost vocals or something. I guess my question is on a PC (or really anything with a binary input) would'nt a program like this do in essence what an external DAC would? I mean it just decodes a digital signal. Are DACs just digital equalizers? Give me the knowledge I crave.

    • @drewpknutz1410
      @drewpknutz1410 ปีที่แล้ว

      A DAC is an actual physical device dedicated to turning digital signals into analog, the onboard DAC on your Macbook is doing the work, while the Boom3D is simply a program that can manipulate those signals like an equalizer, I dont think software alone can function as a DAC and people get the external DACs because they are usually higher quality than the cheap ones in the machine and can sound better.

    • @D1N02
      @D1N02 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably one that costs ten times as much as the amp. It needs to be able to put out high voltage and have enough Ampere 48volts 10 Ampere is the maximum you should use. It also depends on your speakers. The more sensitive they are, the less oompf you need behind them. But don't just look at sensitivity. Speakers with big bass drivers will always profit from a bigger better power supply, no matter the sensitivity.

Come on now cam, having had the as-501 it's a grrar bang for the buck amp, but go have yourself a listen to a Peachtree amp500 and us me know your thoughts, I'll leave it at that.
