I am a huge fan of Luetin09's practical, straightforward presentation of 40k lore. But I do so love Arch's turn of phrase, theories, and digressions.

The chaos Dwarf's are tied with the Skaven and the fimir as my favorite race in fantasy. They are lovely little creatures

@Primarch Sanguinius them or some other underwater faction that can pop up to attack coasts and such. Not those sea elves, but maybe different types of Fimir. Squid faces and such. CA has a lot of creative license.

Remember the favored bloodthirster that got so pissy, he dcided to try taking on Khorne himself while the afore mentioned was apparently distracted? It's said Khorne dragged him to the top of his brass tower and ripped him into two, taking his reason and casting it out into the immaterium. Then choking the rage and uncontrolled bloodlust out a bit repeated the process in the exact opposite direction (I'm assuming that's worse when done by a god and actually in the warp). Before creating a new favored bloodthirster. Which he swiftly followed up with a decree that the two (who rightfully hate eachother) should never meet in combat... insert bs reason, about the individual slaughter being more important than the trully epic fight they'd give him together, here.
Maybe that's Hashut's origin story and he was Skarbrand's reason cast out and landing in the warhammer world. Would explain the flying bulls being so damned vexed, if they are truly Hasut's "blessed". Just a hypothosis you got me on once I'd read Skarbrand's lore after years ago watching the chaos dwarves lore video. Still a fav. Thx 4 the hard work.
i wanna hear you talk about Daemon Binding, probably the most important thing the Chaos Dwarfs do. They even have their own Daemonic Infantry and Monsters in K'daai Fireborn and K'daai Destroyers. Plus all of their artillery has Bound Daemons inside.

About the models though, while the new ones are more realistic they do lose all that culture and enter the realm of generic fantasy. Bad trade.

@@duncanmcokiner4242 Actually I would say on the whole, GW sacrifices the visual culture and gains no realism. I mean look at the space marines, they are chunkier than ever. So really there is no trade, no compromise, just lose lose decisions based on what I believe to be a mix of new artists with no clue what they're doing as well as corporate insecurity.

@@fluoridegood4you622 If they did die I'd love to see someone pick up the rights and licensing and basically pick the company up from where they left off about 10 years ago, using modern technology and sculptors to make the models emulate the Karl Kopinski art that they used to put on the boxes.

Arch - if you look for good looking bullcentaurs, I recommend to check Bullcentaurs from Russian Alternative. There are everything you love about bullcentaurs - beard, hats and very distinct dwarf upper part. Or try 9th game system - so called Infernal Dwarves are reincarnation of stuff you like.
I absolutely love old GW artwork, its silly but still terrifying in a way, just look at those shark teeths and giant hats.
I never consider this point of view: that horses get scared of many things on the battlefield! I mean i have read that Demetrius cavalry refuse to charge elephants in a battle versus seleucus but you know, after nearly two decades of strategy games you forget that.
Are you trying to tell me horses wont mindlessly charge to their inevitable demise when given the order?

I had the old Chaos Dwarfs from the 2nd edition. Had them warmechines pushed by the Bull centaurs. The whirling blades, and the smashers... the swivel guns, and hords of warriors.
Wish I never sold them. :/
I kinda like the new (old) Big Hats. The Bull Centaur charge was wicked, from the battle reports.

Despite my usually disagreeing strongly with Arch on his philosophical and political narratives, while AGREEING with him 100% in his attacks on the censorship that threatens EVERYONE'S right to express points of view or opinion, *I always knew there must be SOMETHING we SHARE* that strongly motivates me to watch Arch's great material as faithfully as though he was 'the Mighty Jingles' or 'Led Zeppelin' and it is NOT just his unequaled narrative skills (Yes 'Vraaks' plus everything else) but *it is our mutual LOVE OF THE CHAOS DWARVES* that were also my first favorite race back in the early 2000's. I am SO waiting for them (I hope) in TW WH 3. *Love their Gollems, Babylonian aesthetics, Living war machines, Blunderbusses and excellent history!*

The Greater Taurus sounds almost like a Chaos Spawn, just more stable. Yes, insane hatred made manifest doesn't sound very stable, but I mean stable in form not temperament.
With a Spawn being the end point of a Chaos Champion/Sorcerer who came up just short of Daemon Prince, the idea that a Bull Centaur could become a Greater Taurus could work and it would mean we have yet to see a Bull Centaur truly achieve the final evolution of their race.
The Lammasu is a perfect example of why GW should've kept the middle-eastern aesthetic of the chaos dwarves, it fits...like a sheepskin glove.

What about the Chaos Dwarf Minotaurs from Blood Bowl? I think it would be an awesome hero or lord choice for them. Just call them Zharr Minotaurs
Speaking of Hobgoblins, the new AoS set is an army focused on their version of Hobgoblins. Because of this as well as things that were said during their unveiling there's also a good chance that the Chaos Dwarves might come back as a proper army.

As a person who also started this hobby with the awesome (made possible by whitedwarf utter noncence) armybook, I would love to see more about this brilant race, special characters ( first one is very great to do imo), their magic and the effects, The magic when it first came out, the introduction of Black Orc, etc etc... this race deservers more attention and love. Did I even mentioned the rocket and earthshaker? Btw... very proud of the long senctence, for that seems to be a thingy on you channel.
As usual, Arch is correct! Clearly, a GW employee was "venting their frustration" in the cubicle of their rival, and dreamed up a burning hot monster that someone has to sit on, for an extended period of time..

I seem to remember chaos dwarfs having quite a figure range.... blunderbuss armed troops was it?.... mortar or cannon troop...? And I remember the hobgoblin support troops. They were very cool and unique looking, shame they seem to "dissapear"

@Arch I would like to see a 40k Lore video on all the Imperial Governors who have never sold out their citizens, secretly done deals with Xenos and/or Chaos, stockpiled Xenos artifacts or fled their colonies at the first sign of invasion never to be heard from again. Should be hours and hours of material.
My theory is that Great Taurus are essentially Chaos Spawn whereas a Lamasu is akin to a Prince

It's funny, because the hobgoblins actually ENJOY being part of the dawi'zar armies. They sometimes get to crack the whips on slaves, which being part goblin, absolutely tickles their fungal pickle.
In the army though, they are literally what you would call " Slave knights " or peasants. Yes, they're good at fighting, but they're literally brought along to throw at the enemy, tire them out and if a few of your first wave live? Good. They can join in the second assault and hopefully act as a force multiplier. If not? Oh well. Served their purpose. They made a swordsman, or spearman exert themselves slaughtering them like beasts.
If tzeentch was imitating a lesser dark God but the dawi-zar believe and worship with all their anger, would that create a new God? These are the things we need to know Arch....

Also: I dont know shit about lore, but if you ask me, the chain of evolution looks to go: Bull Centaur - Lamasur - Great Tauros. That orders seems to have a steady decline of dwarfen characteristics. At first, the bull centaurs body begins to twist and shape, its head growing and being forced inwards along with its torso, thus created that big bulk behind the Lamasurs head.
After that, when it would recieve even more power from Hashut, It would change even further towards the image of Hashut, turning into a proper Tauros, with a fiery temperament to match it, thus also explaining the fire-skin of the beast. But again, i dont know, thats just what it would look like to me. Maybe its even written that what im saying is wrong, just venting my mind here!
