Arch, I must remind you, loyalty isn't quite extinct in Skaven society. There is a sliver, a dreg of that trait alive, and can be found in Ska Bloodtail.
Surprisingly, the majority Clan Morrs are pretty damn loyal, but just as long as the current Lord keeps doing well. Apparently they won’t just kill a guy unless it helps the clan itself rather than the individual, so I’d say they’re pretty loyal for Skaven, Ska himself is said to be larger than Queek yet he is practically his best friend, took a dagger in the chest for the dude.
The more time goes on the more I become convinced the skaven are the only original thing GW ever made. Their lore is actually amazing and the doom of khavzar is probably one of my favourite Warhammer stories
Someone took the 3d for these guys in TW2 and made 3d print files for them. They look awesome. I have an excellent skaven army that looks exactly like it does on TW2 not the crappy old GW minis.

I have a soft spot for the Stormfiend (the insane amalgams of Moulder and Skryer) because they are a unit that is wholly unique and truly a masterpiece of Skavendom. Combining the unstoppable ferocity of a Rat Ogre with the overwhelming precision of Skryer tech. Who could possibly ask for a more perfect weapon? (Note: I'm an AoS Chaos Player, so as much as I adore them, they aren't something I can use in my army. That being said, I get Daemons, the mighty forces of Chaos, and Be'lakor, so cannot complain)

A problem is that Louen and Franz have radically changed over time. Previously the pair have both been incompetent deadbeats and previously the pair have been amazing paragons of virtue. (Opposites) Because there have been so many different versions of the Louen and Franz, it is difficult to tell who the "real" leaders are as people
Skaven are one of the least fun armies to fight next to Chaos Demons, Undead of Nagash, and Vampire Counts if you where a normal human commander. The single Skaven is nothing to a Adventurer or party since they are not that strong individually like Orks, Chaos Warriors, and such but they are crafty and the horde waves are well balanced with strong troops and tactics.
In terms of their function, Skaven seem almost like the Tyranids. Both exist in huge, completely insurmountable numbers. Both develop new weapons and powers based on need. Albeit the Skaven have a very Ferengi like economy going on. Both will devour everything that doesn't run away fast enough. The Tyranids are far more thorough. Both are incredibly Darwinian, in that the strongest and/or most clever survive. The list can go on. The Skaven do, however, mix a lot of Drukari (I want to add Ork or Necron) into their formula.
