My favourite part of your vid was at the end when all finished that final wiped own and spin of the handle, feels good when they all clean and run slick.

New sub here. Good video. I was preparing to “clean “ my 6000 and 7000. This helped a lot. The last one I did didn’t work quite so right when I got through. Lol. Tight lines.

what's the dis advantages of using motor oil and ordinary grease to lube?

I been using Garcia since the 70s I do have low profile and spinning reels also

I'm going to have to agree with you on the ceramic bearings. It definitely makes it feel a tiny bit smoother, but I paid $35 dollars for a set, and I only get maybe 10 more feet of casting distance. I bought two sets for $70 dollars! I could have bought a new reel for that price. Learn from my mistake unless you have money to burn. It's just not worth the money

One important part is the level wind. Clean is good--surgically clean is better! LOL! Get the second bearing for the level wind--cog wheel roller bearing--ceramic bearings and Rocket oil will add 40% to your casting distance!!

@@robertwatson818 I ended up selling them and got into bass fishing. I'm using reels like a Shimano Metanium and Bantam MGL now. Those big 6500C3's were overkill for what I was catching. It took the fun out of catfishing. That's probably why I switched to bass fishing

This reel cast nice but the spool is very noisy. I don't want to do a full teardown just now but is this something I will always have or is there a way to quiet it down now? Thanks again-love your vids. Subscribed.

You really need a cleaning but get some garcia precision oil an dab it on here an there. The noise you are hearing is either the bearings dry or grit in the reel. Which I would advise to deep clean.

I just got a left handed 6001. When removing the handle, will the nut be a reverse thread? Lefty loosey or righty off? Thanks

Sorry the way I film is not up to your standards. Maybe instead of watching my How to videos you should make them yourself.
