With lack of staff being an issue at a lot of parks these days...it would make sense to automate parking and put those people inside the park to keep rides, shops and restaurants staff levels higher...Magic Mountain has really been feeling the staffing issues since last December, when they announced it was no longer open 7 days a week...have noticed a lot more things closed and 1 train ops since then.
I worked the parking lot starting in 2011 until 2021, and no a chance in hell would I have ever wanted to work inside the actual park. Sure during the Bonnie and Neal term I was loaned from the parking lot to inside the park (less than a handful of times) and got certified on X2 and Rev. Worst thing for a 65 year old was working X2 and nearest restroom was back down the hill by the carousal.... Long live the parking lot workers.

That does make sense. Transfer to foods and park services.
Solar panels were started about a month ago and came to a screeching halt. They are first going up in the employee lot.

Does Magic Mountain still have the dog kennel in the parking lot for pets to stay in?
Yes it does and still at no cost to the guests
PET KENNEL
Pets are not permitted in the park, with the exception of service animals. Although you can’t bring your four-legged family members into the park with you, we do offer a convenient pet kennel. It is located right in the main parking lot and you can board your pet free of charge! While you are inside the park, DO NOT leave your pet in or tied to an unattended vehicle. Los Angeles County requires proof of rabies vaccination in order to board your pet, so be sure to bring all documentation with you to the park.

For sure! They have been doing so many events. Plus, Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park are included!
Is six flags really closed on Thursday daytime and only open at 5?
Yes. They are closed Tuesdays-Thursdays for the off season and open at 5 on Fright Fest Thursdays.

WTF IS THE POINT OF PAYING ALL THIS MONEY FOR A SINGLE DAY IF MOST RIDES ARE DOWN!?! IT'S LIKE DISNEYLAND JONES N MATTERHORN ALWAYS DOWN WHATTTTTT A Waste, then the parking shuttle I heard is permanently discontented!?!?!?!?! BTW single days are for thoes that wk all year round n like the Grunwalds get one weekend off or most who can't afford yearly passes that only usually go twice a yr maybe 3
I visit frequently and rarely ride the rides lol But I understand your point if the rides are closed. The park runs several specials that actually makes it more affordable to visit with a pass that includes parking. It often works out cheaper than buying a ticket and parking.
Only been to fright fest once like 8 years ago how is it compared to Knotts scary farm and Halloween horror nights? Do you think it’s worth going ?
I enjoy each event as they are so different. HHN has a huge production budget, but the event isn't as immersive as Scary Farm. Knott's is fully themed all over the park and their mazes (in my opinion) are just as good as HHN. I always enjoy Fright Fest. The scareactors are very interactive and the park has a lively atmosphere. This year, they will have SAW and THE CONJURING mazes, plus a slider show! I am really looking forward to this year! FF definitely isn't intense as HHN or Scary Farm, but it is a lot of fun! Note: Saw and Conjuring will not open on opening weekend. Check the website for updates.
