Your videos have great information and showcase great editing! I wanted to give credit for that because it is great how you pull studies up and show them and give visuals. Also, I’m glad I watched this and know I’m on the right track with my diet because I’m actually about to go have my breakfast rn and it has most of these ingredients in it lol. I made overnight chia pudding with ground flax seeds, wild blueberries, cinnamon, clove, turmeric powder+pepper, olive oil, black berries, and kiwi.
Thank you for very useful information, so basically you eat plant based food only, no meat, no eggs, no dairy. I hope one day I will be brave enough to do that.
Hi Dr. Liu: I really enjoy your videos about Top 10 to take, including this one. They have so much biochemistry and nutrition science information. Would you share how medical students and professionals could acquire these knowledge? Is there a course to cover the topics and materials as you’ve covered in your videos? A list of books to cover the knowledge base would also be very useful. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I wish my doctor would have been more forthcoming with my thyroid issues years ago, it took me seeking help for what I thought was menopause to get diagnosed with Hashimoto's. Have made progress with my diet changes since my diagnosis. Will definitely be adding the black cumin to my regiment.
Thanks for these ideas. I’m mixing all the good things in Asian and Western cuisine. I took for granted the abundance of ginger and oregano. Way back at home where it’s just accessible in the backyard garden. Here in USA, it’s just dried oregano most of the time.
Add Kimchi and kefir to your diet if you have any gut issues. Give it about month and you’ll be back to normal. I eat 1-3 teaspoons of kimchi through out the day and I add kefir to my smoothies every morning. 😊
I was recently diagnosed with autoimmune disease markers. my markers showed an elevated RH factor, ANA, and markers for scleroderma. I say markers because a rheumatologist will not officially diagnose these conditions until there is a longer history of symptoms. My sibling has had autoimmune conditions for decades so I knew what to expect from doctors. Teh traditional response to these issues is medications that mask symptoms. I'm in search of functional medicine providers that specialize in autoimmune conditions. SO far those people tend to be DRs that have experienced these conditions themselves. Thanks for addressing these topics in a practical way that I can apply.
Your information is wonderful and so beneficial. But, I wish you would condense the information you present more, in each vid. Maybe it's due to our diet (which I'm working on changing) , our attention span is limited. I'm glad I found your channel. Thanks!
So much information. Wow. I'm not sure if this is the right video to ask this question, but here goes. My a1c ,last test was 6.7. Can you make a diabetes specific video. I mean, I know the basics. Whole foods, no pasta, no sugar, etc... I was eating carnivores, but I have consistently high triglycerides. Please give a specific video. I like the way you put things. Thanks, Doc.
Great informative video! Can you do a video on pairing? What to eat with what and in what ratio? Same with what supplements to take with what and ratio? Thank you!
Hello Dr. I am glad to have subscribed to your channel awhile back and am learning much from you. Thank you. I want to eat kale, but I read that it contains a high amount of goitrogens, compounds that can interfere with thyroid function, and even more importantly I see that kale is often contaminated with Dacthal, a carcinogenic pesticide, and also had detectable levels of 5.6 different pesticides, with as many as 18 different residues on just one sample. They were referring to non organic kale. We only buy organic, do you think it is safe? How do we really know? Thank you.
Dr I have kidney stones and my husband too, so Dr told me to stay away from kale and greens , my stone has been under 5 in size but my husband are too big to pass . What can you tell us about It , dissolving them and preventing them?
Thank you Dr. Liu so very much for this incredibly helpful video and information. I have multiple auto-immune conditions and I will make all of these a part of my life now. I am so very grateful for this life changing information. 🥰 I am curious, you mentioned Flaxseeds lower blood pressure. I have auto-immune adrenals and pots and have low blood pressure. Are Chia seeds for the omega three a good substitute in this case? Thank you again.
Do you have shorter versions of your videos without all the chemistry details? If you have a clips version channel without all the chemistry details it will be a big help.
Thank you, hoping you see this. Can you please do a video addressing your thoughts on the significance of chemicals in our food on our health. Specifically the "dirty dozen". I noticed you don't really talk much about it. For instance, oats are one of the most heavily sprayed crops. Farmers spray glyphosate on it and other grains prior to harvest to dry them out. I am not wealthy so I do eat nonorganic oats and other produce because I think the benefits outweigh the risks. However, as someone concerned about their liver and kidney enzymes and cholesterol, I want to make the right choices. Thank you!!!
Ps Have you done a “10 best” for people with COPD? 100’s of millions are diagnosed with COPD every year but there’s very little “nutritional” information online.
I can only eat some foods of the list, like blueberries, green tea and ginger, others my body don't accept. Especially problematic are black cumin and clove. But I can use black cumin for hair care.
U need to grind or it will come out whole in poop... dont let it get rancid tho. Keep sealed in fridge. Use within 2 weeka. Dont buy preground if possible. If u have 2 buy preground buy small amts keep sealed and in fridge and use quickly. Smell if it goes rancid. Enjoy!
After I incorporated green leafy veggies and berries and carrot juice into my diet, i started to have cravings for very sweet foods like dates or candies or bread. I wonder why is that. Is it psychological?
I've been eating a more "plant slant" diet for the past 3 months and feel so much better and have lost nearly 20 pounds. However, I keep hearing highly critical opinions regarding higher carbohydrates/lower fat. It is discouraging. I have labs next week and these critiques have me expecting terrible results.
Flaxseeds is not good for patients with bypass, stents etc, who follow wfpb and refused all medication. I am saying this because I have a stent on my heart and I am following wfpb without any medication, and I tried to eat a tablespoon of ground flaxseed every second day.. but my cholesterol increases, but I know that flaxseed are very good
I would love to eat pork, but store bought pork is filled with corn because they come from feedlot farms. That is inflammatory. If pork is sourced pasture raised grass fed, I'd eat it. Beef is much easier to find grass fed. Bison as well.
All diseases involve immunity and whenever there is an "unidentified" trigger we call it "autoimmunity". But there is no disease that does not involve autoimmunity no matter the cause.
