i recently had a game where i had zero kills for like, the majority of the first half. it was a situation where my teammates could have been toxic to me and kick me while i’m down, but they didn’t. and when i got a quick 4k one round, our top frag praised me and complimented me for it and it felt great! instant morale boost and i ended up picking it up after that.
so basically, always support your bottom frag. it’s so easy to be toxic but most people are good players having a bad game. and even if they are bad, a morale boost can help anyone do better, and a teammate can provide lots of info and be helpful in ways other than kills.
that's exactly how I feel. when I be bottom fragging and get complimented it makes me feel greater and I'll most likely do a bit better. I generally do good in games, but I have my bad games then I get shitted on so bad then it brings me down lol
The best people are those that understand that sometimes you’re just having an off game. Everyone has those games where they just don’t do well and it feels great to have those teammates that understand that
It’s likely for me to get 0 kills for most of the half with any character im not used to, like raze for an example-
A simple “good job”, “nice shot”, “nice try” can go so far
Pro tip: When your games get toxic and you're clutching (obviously the guy you have beef with will try to mess with you), there's a clutch button to mute everyone. You don't even have to be clutching to use it, although it unmutes after every round, still helps if the team are still giving info despite the toxicity.

I love the clutch mute when people get toxic or start backseating or just anything distracting really, cuz sometimes your not expecting it and don't have time to go and actually mute them

Agree, it's very sad some of these girls are "pick me girls" - putting down other girls just so the said boys like them better. I get asked how hot I am or for my snap on NA most of the time I decide to speak, but then I played on Japan servers and not only people are just well-mannered and calm, no one gives a single shit about your gender or even makes a comment on it. Everyone says sorry for the mistakes and no matter how shit someone or myself did, they said good job you tried very well.
I've had a couple girls being toxic to me before and I'm used to constant toxicity from guys. I'm honestly more surprised when they aren't being toxic.
Girls in the London server are always way more toxic than in the other servers in my experience and I have had a few of those girl teams on tiktok moments in Frankfurt lobbies which is always fun!

I try to be nice in most games I play but one thing I've noticed from my personal experience (may not be relevant to others) is that girls I play in soloQ with tend to be more toxic than the guys I play with. I get a lot more passive aggressive comments like "what are you doing?" and "where are you at?" and other comments of the sort. Sometimes they just flat out say "you're bad, you shouldn't play duelist." As a CS:GO player as well, I can say the girls you play with on Valorant are a lot more toxic than the ones on CS:GO and I think many of the non-creepy non-predator guys who are toxic to girls are toxic to them for this exact reason.

last night, someone types “kys” during a deathmatch game to a breach. It was funny cause he was talking crap all game. I reported him after the match, and next few minutes, I got a message from riot that my report is success and that person is penalized playing val. I was so satisfied and happy

There's ways to like coach your teammates that aren't being toxic just keep in mind, especially in high rank, they probably know what they did wrong. First of all say NT if you're spectating. Everyone appreciates an Nt even if it's just a little. Second, make sure it's not a one time thing. Sometimes we make mistakes in the heat of the moment and it's just a one off. 3rd, if you notice the mistake and you're not sure if your teammate or team is aware of what they're doing wrong, you say it nicely. Try not to single people out and be inclusive since most of the times, the entire team is making mistakes that are losing the round. Be constructive about your criticism. Be like "I think we play post plant here and sova uses dart first to buy time on spike. Chances are they might get off to break the dart and then retap, then we play with shocks and ult." At the end of the day, its a game and have fun. It's more fun in my rank (ascendant) when teammates can take constructive criticism and support each other. Be nice to each other, help each other out, and stand up for your teammates who are getting bullied!

I had a game recently where one guy on my teaming wouldn't stop screaming at everyone (especially me cause I was bottom fragging). I usually bottom frag cause I don't play that much, but honestly I play to have fun and do my best. But then the other team hopped on board, and they didn't stop until the game was done. Honestly made me not want to play the game again. I play games to have fun, not be bullied.

I recently had an unexpectedly toxic experience from a female Valorant duo. It was in NA servers, but I play from Asia so my ping sucks. It was Unrated and I was playing Omen, a controller that I never play, for fun. I ended up bot fragging for a few rounds at the beginning, and apparently that was enough merit for them to pick on me, because every round they would grab spike and troll or stay in spawn, constantly egging me on in voice and text chat in the most annoying passive-aggressive way the whole game. Now I didn’t really mind, personally. Wasn’t my main. But when I realize this could have happened to someone else who sincerely isn’t that good at the game yet, it makes me seethe a little. I don’t understand the need to kick your teammates while they’re down, especially when they’re clearly trying (and carrying comms).
Oh and I don’t think they got punished for it even after the report. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Bro, you can feel the projecting that these people are doing. It's the classic, "I'm not as good as my imagination so I'm gonna bully someone lower than me to feel superior" type of thing. One of the kost frustrating games of my life was a comp game with two other girls. Im one myself, and I often experience sexism from guys, but from other girls it was infuriating. So she waited till the last second then locked reyna, so me and the other two teammates said it was a bit annoying and asked them to lock earlier next time. We got a few more rounds in, and they were still yelling at us for not wanting them to instalock. Then PURELY because I said we need to move on, the two of them threw, called me a fat bitch, a bipolar girlie, an emotional female, etc BECAUSE OF ME SAYING WE HAD TO MOVE ON, AND THEY GENUINELY THOUGHT THAT JUSTIFIED IT.

Comm spamming when i’m tryna clutch etc. is honestly the reason I don’t wanna play val anymore.
I got 3 types of toxic people on my matchs
1. 20-30 year old dudes that are on discord with theyr friends just saying shit
2. little kids
3. 15 year old girls that just yell at everyone

Yeah you just need to bait them to talk a lot and then you can most times tell from the acent their nationality sometimes even if they are muslim (they are the easiest to trigger).
But the funniest thing is to make an irish person mad and when he says "fuck you" it sounds more like "fork you" and most times they dont get it but the rest of the lobby will laugh about them after your reply "spoon you".
However it's crucial to have a lot of smurfs to be constantly toxic the bans are ranging from 24 hours up to 4 weeks already while the most common one is 10 days.
I have yet to encounter any of this in my lobbies and it makes me think that some of the clips are just cherry picked for sympathy points and/or content. Of course I have seen the "report our (agent) for saying n word" text at times, but more often than not, its very rare, especially the guy being poop head to girl in vc senario (like every game Ive played up to this point every girl that has talked, no one gave a shit)

So, I used to be in Asian servers and moved to NA server in Jan 2022. The amount of toxicity that is present in NA is staggering and usually it's just hormonal teenagers with their voice cracking every 5 seconds who are the toxic ones. The older folks are usually nice and uplifting. It only gets worse when it's a 4 stack and I'm solo as they tend to gang up on you. I wish Valorant will remove the 4 stack thing altogether as it leads to no good whatsoever. The mob mentality gets the best of everyone. And the worst part is, if you mute the 4 stack, they report you for random shit and bada bing bada boom, you now have a chat ban for god knows what reason.
You can’t play comp with 4 stack so I am guessing it is unrated. Riot shouldn’t remove 4 stack because there are a lot of situation where you had to play 4 stack.

its honestly normal to see a lot of girls be mean to someones, me n my cousin were playing a game when i was really new and this duo was just so nasty for literally no reason
some tips from my experience:
1: never play london host in high elo and never play frankfurt in low elo
2: dont take the game too seriously, i usually just give my tm8s comms and if they try argue , dont argue back, i tell them that they are perfect and we are all wrong except him. it always shuts them up because it shows them how none cares about their opinion.
3: dont ever say anything back to your tm8s besides comms, alot of people are sensitive and the moment you overspeak theres a chance they will just throw the whole game

As a Girl I actually only 5 stack with friends in unrated at this point. Especially Frankfurt and Paris Servers been the most toxic - mostly around night time. Honestly reconsidering if I even want to to stop playing completely. Also I know I would be better than Iron 3 but I don't wanna play Comp at all. So I guess I'll be hardstuck forever.

The most recent toxic thing I’ve encountered is this dude on my friends list asking to borrow my acc so his can boost his egirl. Man said he’ll give me his plat acc as a trade. Idc about ranks cause I play for fun, so I just replied with “no sorry.” Man gets pissed and checks my ranks, saw I’m unranked, and then says “you wish you had this rank fuck off my friends list *slurs*” I was just mind blown. honestly idk if it's just me but I tend to be nice at the start and try to give feedback on how we could play better but if I don't get any response or a negative reaction I do kinda get frustrated and slip out some toxic tendencies. Like I know I'm probably not helping the situation but neither are my teammates by ignoring valuable information or tips. When it comes to girls tho I often get the accusation of mansplaining thrown at me whilest I genuinely try to help with the softest voice possible. It really goes both ways sometimes. all by all I think the Valorant community can improve a lot...

Just a little story when i was 12 and playing comp: Frankfurt server, all mates german. First round two guys jump of this thing on split (defenders) and calling the enemies cheaters. Then they are trolling. I then said to them that i want to win and they were mocking me. They were 1000x better then me so i knew they were smurfing and trolling in lower elo. They didnt care about anything and were just mocking me all the time. I then quit but they still won. Now im gold and def. better then this idiots. Now everyone listen to my calls and not flaming me cuz of my voice

Valorant has gotten more and more toxic recently, I used to be able to escape to unrated, spike rush, and replication, but now those are toxic af too. I play on both EU and NA and I've had equally bad experiences on both. I'd say I've had equally bad experiences as duelist and support, but you get so much more backseating as a support.

I'll be honest, last act was the absolute worst experience in any game I've ever experienced and I 100% pin it on Summer break. Kids out of school, free video game, bad parenting, means garbage 8 - 17 year olds playing Valorant and just being absolute braindead lab experiments in comp and unrated. I can not stress how much better the experience got once school started up again.

my worst time with toxic players was when i queued for spike rush and just right before i could choose an agent to play 4 of my team (i assume theyre all together?) were already bullying me cause they "feel like it" i was gonna dodge it but my stupid fingers alr pressed the lock so i had to just afk (i felt like if i died or whiffed they would put me on blast no matter what i did) it was stupid, they asked the opposing team to report me so i couldnt play the game cause im "stupid" and other degrading words they could think of. im glad i never enabled comms that day, i probably wouldve cried if ever they were berating me verbally with what they were alr saying in the chats.

As a woman playing Valorant I can confirm this is the worst act for toxicity. I try to comm to try to win and half the lobby throws or trashes on me. I know I am incredibly inconsistent but that doesn't justify the comments.
when I get toxic, it's towards myself because I suck at aiming. Tho I only have like 7h played total so far in Valorant, and the last fps game I played was on console many many years ago. (like 2010 or 2011 playing mw2)
so playing Valorant is very new to me, though the game seems fun and a nice change from other games I play.
From my own experience: Paris tends to be the most consistent in toxicity, if people are toxic however, Frankfurt is the worst, In Frankfurt its a 45% chance its wholesome/funny 45% toxic AF 10% normal/no comms. London has nearly no comms.

So I will admit I have been toxic and regret it truly, however whenever people do happen to peek angles and actually just are not getting kills and just get clapped doing the same thing over and over again, i do end up asking how they got boosted to things like gold3+ when they just do the same things losing over and over again. I am trying to stop being toxic but that sort of thing does end up slipping out sometimes.

I had a game yesterday (comp actually) and the jett on the other team hated me for being better then her and actually started trying but in the end the jett was 24/19 and I ended up as 26/10 it felt so good (They lost)
You know I'm south African and the best servers I got is Bahrain and bahrain is like a sword with three sides. You either get a super quiet team who never comms, a toxic ass team like what we've seen on other servers or the most wholesome people ever which are mainly the girls which I love cuz they bring so much morale to the team cuz they just being kind.
EU servers in comp are just nice you get the odd person who is like having a bad day

I got a 128 hour comp ban for no reason and riot won’t give me an explanation 😂
I haven't gotten the worst of it but my mom who plays comp NA has been called all kinds of things for just being a woman. Also a lot of pick-me's who duo w/ their online sugar daddies on val is rampant af and they'll say shot that scars you. I became very insecure in my voice b/c of those types of girls ;u;
as a person who lives in Germany, Frankfurt is indeed the most toxic server
that's why I don't talk much , I only if I know my teammates aren't toxic
I met some toxic people once in comp and as soon as they were complaining that my voice was squeaky like i was a girl and i said i was and they changed so fast
The only reason to get mad at rotate is if you're stuck in a corner and your team leaves you. Not if you're taking fights and you can rotate but choose not to.
