Nice Vlog again. During summertime I also have to do sound in environments where people sit underneath sunshades and pavilions just like here in your vid. It is always hard to get the sound underneath and „through“ the pavilion/tent while not blasting away the front row. But this here looks and sounds really good.
I have two questions; what brand and model are the floor monitors? Also, in your opinion, are the Meyer X40s worth the expense for the type of rentals that you do? I think Meyer products sound fantastic - I worked for them for about ten years (a long time ago!) - but they are so expensive. I've been putting a small rig together and I'm at the point of needing to make a decision on speakers. I am not interested in the typical QSC sort of setup but I can't spend a fortune. I'm very interested in your opinion on the Meyer. Keep up the great work.
I'll answer the easy question first: The model of floor wedges are DbTechnologies FMX 10, 12 and 15. They are compact, lightweight, and I received alot of complements on their sound. I am very happy with the X40's. As you can tell from my videos, I've used them for different types of events. Up until I got those, my main speakers have been DbTechnologies IG3Ts and IG4Ts. My main reason for looking at X40's was I wanted something that could work for larger gigs where one IG per side didn't cut it, but rigging two per side wasn't in budget or worth the extra labor to bring out lifts, etc. One option I considered was Danley SM80's, but the main disqualifier there was that my setups have been based around active speakers. So in addition to the speakers, I would have also had to layout expenses for a power amp, rack, and speaker cables. The X40 has now become my main go to speaker for all but the largest events I do.

@@inthemixls thanks for the fast reply. Sounds to me like you know your stuff. Those wedges look nice - I'm going to look further at those.
Nice vlogs that I enjoy.
But please skip your intro or shorten it! It's way to long (around 25 seconds?) which is way to long if you ask me...
Keep an eye out for future posts. Definitely have taken this into consideration. Thank you for commenting and for the feedback!
@@inthemixls No thanks! I'll be watching your channel!
