Great video Chris. Good seeing a small family owned business being revamped and coming back to life. Good price point for that processor as well. Seen $43k was quoted, not a bad price at all. Keep up the great work! GNI

50 K all in really isn’t that bad for a firewood processor with a live deck can handle 20 inch logs and can do about two cords an hour seems like a decently reasonable price for that size machine
YA KNOW CHRIS- it was a lil rough to see you betray Eastwood! For the amazing machine they have given ya!JK! HOWEVER- as I watch and learn why you are adamant about being able to seek, find and Demo all types of new and older companies that are hardworking incredibly amazing to build products that really have enhanced how wood and wood products are being handled, managed and innovative products has given me a HUGE APPRECIATION to what we are seeing today! Thank you for shining the light on such diverse equipment I never would’ve imagined seeing or possibly owning!
@@InTheWoodyard Imagine that splitter in the special edition“Ruby Red Slipper” per In The Wood Yard. Could go with Big Red, a whole stick of gum and a bottle water holder. 😉
Hi Chris thats a really good looking small processor. If one of your regular contributors says he was quoted $43k for that machine. Sounds good. Able to recuperate that sort of money quite quickly. (or you would over here at 400+a cord of pine). Interesting series of videos on gear, hanging out to see the big girl running again with a full crew. Now thats production! Cheers from HBNZ
Michigan here... great video... went to the company website... looks like something local tree service companies could tow behind and offer to make their takedowns into firewood for customers. Could be a good money maker for the few extra hours needed for the offered service.
Thanks Chris could you make a video doing not so perfect logs crocket, small, etc I have a 18/20 cord king it is great But only in8/14 inch diameter wood. Thanks stay safe 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
If only the live deck could be converted to a log lift. Looks like the 14-24 Brute Force is the only heavy built processor that can do what I want without having to buy a tractor or akidsteer to load it. Hopefully you do more processors soon to maybe gice me an idea which one to save up for.
The production machine will allow the live deck to lower to the ground to be used as a log lift. You will attach a log "hook" to each live deck infeed chain that will pull the log up the live deck and deposit it into the log trough. No need to have a separate machine to load the deck.
I hope when this machine gets into production the ram speed increases. As it now the saw bar drops like a rocket, and the ram in comparison moves like a snail.
Isn't that the same company who had something last year that they brought out of retirement? Good for them for bringing back manufacturing, just wish he would have even ballparked a price.
If Someone comes up with a ‘decent’ processor (better than Rangeroad) in the 20k range, they would dominate the market! I mean, how many homeowners can drop $50,000 just to make firewood. Even at the high end, $50k is around 165 to 170 full cords of wood if you buy it in split and seasoned. So after 15+ years it’s paid for itself? The math don’t math.
Hahn needs to change the design of the conveyor teeth to be more aggressive. Easton Made hade the same issue with there’s and changed there design. It’s frustrating when the firewood won’t go up the conveyor.
For some time you have been talking about a gap in the market of a small firewood processors. . That I'd say this comfortably fits in that gap. I'd say a box wedge would be a good option for them to consider. On a lighter note, trailer brakes for 13" rims and bigger do exist. did rig up one of my 1986 T/D isuzus for load transfer bars and a smaller 2" ball. Had more braking power on the 7k trailer then the tow auto. . Did a drive back to NC years ago, for a meet-greet of rare diesel isuzu passenger autos. Needless to say there was no danger of getting a speed ticket. . I actually did it a 2nd time, ran 3/4 fry oil on that trip. 2nd trip had issues, LOL th-cam.com/video/o0s3vjaCnmM/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
Seems to me they would have thought of a better set up for the saw dust shoot that just looks like it could get way to messy. I can't think of any one that would like to use this for 3 hours and then spend another 3 hours cleaning it up. Not knowing how much they are asking is a bit of a conundrum. I would love to see how they make their changes and what is the cost after.
It’s scary to think about buying a bar processor with how insanely expensive bar oil is now! The cheapest bar oil I could buy in town that was prob $5-7 is now $17 a gallon! I’m about to start asking my customers if they have old unused oil laying around
Make friends with a mechanic shop. Get them to keep old gear oil- a carton of beer is cheap for a 44 gallon you can mix it 50/50 with any oil and it’s just as good as bar oil.
On this prototype machine it's up front under the infeed trough on the live deck side. Production machines will be about 2' longer and there will be room on the engine/hydraulic tray on the opposite side which will make the fuel tank much more accessible.
Wow down to earth guy just telling u how it is bein honest a lot of respect for tht man

I like the openness of it. It doesn't have a big safety door. Great video.
Thanks 👍

Very cool!
Nice looking machine with some good ideas 👍
Yup!
Really liking these videos on various processors. Was quoted 43k for this machine. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Dang. I figured it would be in that price range. Was hoping it would be less. But that IGX engine isn't cheap.
Thanks!
Have one on order can't wait to get it working. Getting #3.

Holly cow that’s an expensive little processor!
That’s a great machine for anybody. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
It might be that!
Keep bringing the videos! I really enjoy them!
Thanks! Will do!

Ha! Sorry but no, thanks for watching!

Thats great they are revamping manufacturing and keeping it here at home 😉👍
Sure is!
That was a nice machine! 👍🏻👍🏻GNI
It sure is!
Looks to be well built with some nice features I’d love to demo one!
Yup!!
G’morning Chris. You Hahn do a lot of work with that machine ! GoodNightIrene
Morning, yes I hahn do it!
Good morning Chris!😀😀
Morning Al!
Hi Chris love the Show it look like the Color of Dodge Charger R/T 440 lol love it ( Ty Ron
Thanks!
Looks like a nice open, compact processor. It would be interesting to see price point. Thanks for showing all this good stuff, you do good work!
Thanks for watching!
I sure hope they had a box wedge! If they have a perfect split setup like the japa I will definitely buy one
I doubt it, Japa has a patent on it...lawyer stuff.
This looks great, looking for a new splitter think I found what I need
Yup, it is a real beaut !
The series contiuues - good stuff
Lots more to come!
Looks great. Simple and small, it seems everything is getting bigger and bigger for the sake of it. I’d have one
Right on!
I would Love one of these we just dont have the range in new zealand
What do mean by range???
@@InTheWoodyard .Like options really can only get hakki pilke and then really big ones, would be great to have more options like these.
That looks like a good machine just right for me waiting to get a price on it
In the video he said $43k ish???

Just save , there are lots to choose from, you will figure it out.
@InTheWoodyard I can also dream of an equipment sponsor for the channel. Work hard and see which happens first! Maybe both if work hard enough!

@kellyolsen4565 going to be a while. Gotta save up the $.

Hey Ray, good to hear from you, and thanks for watching!

Isn't that the same company who had something last year that they brought out of retirement? Good for them for bringing back manufacturing, just wish he would have even ballparked a price.
Somwonw commented that they were quoted $43k. Which is in the ballpark with that IGX Honda engine.
I do not know.

This is the very first machine made by them... there will be improvements. All processors make a mess, it is part of production.

Regular motor oil doesn't have the taxky factor to stick to the bar. Will fling off and not kube much. Old bar oil would be fine.
