Hey guys, thanks a lot for the love that you showed in this video. Unfortunately, we deleted the video by accident while making some changes on our TH-cam studio and as a result, lost a wealth of wisdom and knowledge shared by you guys in the comments. We also lost the 19k views that we had already accumulated by that time.

Hahahah. Eddy got all of us offguard.
Thank you for this topic: From experience, my hubby and I sat down and decided on not engaging in the dowry transaction..we agreed if it was to be paid it should be done to both sides ..and so we talked with our parents and they agreed... funny thing we faced a bit of a hustle with our relatives...but it all worked out...in as much as it is culture...we should demystify the importance of it.....I believe its not relevant in this day and age...n also we committed ourselves as a couple to support both our parents so that its not just a one day event that reminds you to appreciate them
I love this!. I would say that your parents are very reasonable. Obviousy the relatives would complain. 😅
I hadn't watched this episode yet...now I got to watch it 😊

C'mon guys I like your thoughts juu hii kitu it's stressing kabisa for boy child
It's a real challenge for a lot of people.
Thankyou for this.
Welcome.
I love Robbie Omol's point that, bringing up a child is (or was) a communal responsibility and because of this, parents would want their child to have a huge wedding to 'rudisha mkono' to al those people who helped and came through when their children were growing up. But I am of the opinion that, a wedding is a very intimate ceremony, and should not be used as an opportunity to 'rudisha mkono'. That can be done on other occasions: slaughter animals and invite people over or something.
In my wife's community, a pregnant ewe is the most important part of the dowry, and once you have paid that you are considered a married couple.
Wacu😂😂😂
This topic is very interesting i remember in my case my dad said he is not selling me so he asked my husband to give a small token for the uncle's..but for him that too didn't matter. He just asked my husband to love and respect me thats it.
Exactly! When a father is understanding and appreciative, the man automatically reflects the same.
Bring more of this the conversation is really relatable ❤
More coming soon!
Not even close to being married but loook at me enjoying! 😂
Enjoy to the fullest!
