    2009 RXV. I had the micro switch changed on the accelerator pedal ......... worked for a while - replaced the entire pedal assembly, and that fixed it. The dealer had changed almost everything on the cart - board, solenoid, brake, wire harness ....... it would work for a little while, then it wouldn't. Wished he had started with the accelerator pedal assy. Sure would've saved a lot of heartache, and money. Not many shops want to work on them..... and those that do, have one helluva time diagnosing problems on them.

    That was a mini fuse that blew they have the prongs soldered in so I unsoldered them now I can just replace the mini fuse so I didn't have to jump off a fuse like you did thank you for the video

      That's awesome and good for you. I hope I helped you somehow. I know TH-cam has saved me thousands in repair costs so if I did anything to pay it forward then good.

    What did the charger show on your chargers? My Delta Q has one single blinking red light.

    Thanks for making the video. Could I just swap the fuse? Having the same issue. The blue wire doesn’t go to anything right?

    How is your charger wired to the batteries

    Very Interesting! I repair golf carts for a guy and we had a cart the same as yours come in last year with the same problem. Plugged his charger into another cart and it worked so I knew it wasn’t the charger. Discovered that one of the connectors had no continuity thru the receptacle so I removed it. Tried everything and couldn’t understand why and how one side of that receptacle would go open. Finally after many hours of frustration I replaced the receptacle with a new one and the charger worked fine. Never thought of a fuse inside, what a stupid idea. Will log that away in the old memory banks. Thanks for your video.

      Thanks LL.. If I save one person one dollar then I will be a happy man. Thank you for letting me know what you think and good luck! And it was a stupid idea..

      My RVx charging port pops when I go to charge. Any idea?

    • @ll9934
      @ll9934 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@innovatewithIRIS By using the word Pops, I would think that you’re shorting out the positive and negative connectors either in the charging connector on the golf cart or in the plug on the end of the charger cord. Disconnect a battery strap on the batteries and then take a volt meter set to check continuity and check the to leads in the charge connector on the golf cart. If you don’t get a reading on the volt meter the connector is good, but if you get a reading the connector is bad. If that connector is good then you’ll have to unplug your charger from the ac, open the charger up, disconnect either the positive or negative connector in the charger and then check the end of the dc plug from the charger with the voltmeter on continuity and if you get a reading that connector is bad.

      Im sorry for the delay.. I kinda got side tracked until a coworker told me they saw my post when searching for a different problem. No, there was no flashing red light at the receptacle because when the fuse blew, there was no circuit. Does that make sense? The charger had no light either.

    My Yamaha electric cart battery charger problem. When I connect the charger to the power outlet and without connecting it the golf cart, the three lights blink for a second every 7 seconds. When I connect the battery charger to the golf cart it keeps doing the same. it is not charging the golf cart
    the charger is YAMAHA, 48 volt charger, multi-stage battery charger/ maintainer. MIDEL JW9-82107-02
    ANY thoughts are greatly appreciated

    I know what's wrong with it. Just change the click pop. How simple can you get?
    I do think a fuse of some sort would be a good idea rather than just a piece of copper wire. But thanks for your Discovery!

    Fuses blow for a reason. If you have to keep filling up a bucket it’s best to fix the leak.

      Mine did the same but not sure if my cart is being charged, I have not figured out what the issue of loss power is from battery’s? Charger? Or sensor?

    • @sgmt9250
      @sgmt9250  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      no. the cart (receptacle) side did not blink at all. Because the fuse was bad, there was no circuit to tell the light to blink.

    The other day the charger did not cut off and my batteries overheated. 2009 RXV. The charger cable get hot. I checked the charging port and it was damaged. I changed it out today and turned the charger on. Hope it's good tomorrow. The quick disconnect on the blue wire looked like a fuse, but there wasn't one in it.......????

    I think this is the 1 Amp fuse which protect the internal relay for the interlock safety feature inside the delta-q charger

      Im sorry for the delay. I went to the auto parts (two word name A--- Z---) store and bought the fuse that looked the same. They were Bussman 30A fuses, green. After I installed the in line fuse box, I have had it pop twice in the last year. Rather than spending $150 bucks for a new receptacle, I just put a 5 cent fuse in. Maybe there is something wrong with the after market lights and USB charger the dealer put in. Maybe 2008 golf carts cant handle upgrades? Maybe they designed the receptacle to be maintenance proof to make money? Either way, Im happy that my subsequent repair costs have been about ten cents and the cart runs just fine. Where we are, we use the cart for everything so we put allot of miles on it in all types of weather. Id be happy to post a current photo of my repair but It will basically look the same. Just a little dirtier.
