YES !!! I totally agree. Seniors like Us don’t get much attention. But don’t give up. My Dad at 85 had a bad knee and other small aches & didn’t know how to help himself. preventing from walking so he sat a lot and gain so much weight and slept a lot. Well, he didn’t have enough muscles or Strength to carry his good, go up and down stairs- unfortunately his home had no elevator and didn’t want to move to a new place. Dr said his health was like a 60 year old person internally but his heart was weak to a point that he got a massive heart stroke while sleeping in sofa and ended up in coma. It was a lesson for me. The heart needs to be easily worked on for many seniors. I see it in the See it in this Community where there’s a Fitness Center where is usually empty because no one ever guides and you can hurt yourself.

When you’re doing this exercise, tuck your pelvis in, don’t arch it: this way, it’ll target your lower abs and prevent lower back pain. The issue with the lower back is very often caused by the pelvic tilt (arched lower back), which is unhealthy. Hope that helps!

More than 50 years ago worked as a Nurse's Aide. #1 rule at that time 'Don't drop a patient.!' She was approximately 300 pounds. She warned me her legs were going to give. The aide in training let go. I swung in front of her with my arm underneath her arm. My left arm went underneath her other arm and I bent backwards. Hard to talk but the other aide finally pushed the wheelchair up to her back. Unfortunately, she grabbed my arms and pulled me forward quickly instead of easing her into the wheelchair. Received two days off. The lower back has never been the same. When I have over worked my back, lying in the fetal position works wonders. Lately I've been unable to squat as much so am bending more. My balance is off now since losing one eye. Otherwise, 76 isn't all that bad. Thank you for the exercises.

Yeah I’m always interested in new ways to be healthy. I did 35 years of nursing and that old saying of see an old nurse and you’ll see a bad back is true. Between all the lifting, moving of patients, pushing beds with patients in them, contributing factor to my spondylosis in my neck and back, osteoarthritis in both knees, SI joints and highest grade of bunions, I need another 4-5 surgeries. And yes I had 8 knee surgeries and 3 back surgeries I’ve very lax joints so I’m damned flexible but the joint damage from knee dislocations is now at the highest grade. I do have about 35 lbs to lose which will also help and I’ve finally got my head in the game and am on track with keto which also I know will improve my pain!

@@thatstheguy07 ... You're so smart.. part of the reason I have them is because of weight loss. I think this guy knows more about it than you. I'll listen to him.

I’m a nurse. I have an old injury of a herniated disc from moving a heavy patient throughout my 12 hour night shift 12 years ago. I still struggle with pain and tightness on occasion that will radiate to my butt, hips and legs. Strengthen and stretching those muscles are vital for my comfort and well being

Im almost 60 . I hurt my back and it had me down for about three weeks ! All I was doing was dancing a little at a wedding. I have a desk job and so I know I am just getting weaker by the second . Thank you for these videos !!! Also my knees are messed up from osteoarthritis/ RA. Some days I can barely move so low impact excercises like this are exactly vwhat I need.
