Alright guys I got the tint from precutautotint.com but be aware they are going back and forth with me about if they are going to send me a new passenger side for free even though mine was cut wrong when I got it. Will update in another video.
For for a fun fact ab your ford, their is a black knob on the bottom of your seats toward the outside edge that will trip the seats to fall forward and and pop back where they was originally without messing up your original position
Good luck with getting them to replace that piece for free. They did the same thing to me. The plotter cut the tint wrong and they blamed me even though I sent them a pic of the clear backer where it had plotter lines on it..
Jose Manzano-Santiago I got 5% on all the windows on my truck too, if it wasn’t for the back up camera I wouldn’t be able to back out at all at night. It’s completely black.
I have 0%, seen cops next to me just looking at me but never pulled over. Lol one cop told me to roll down my windows and said I don't care about your tint just to let you know. He was just teasing me. I'm in San Diego and luckily all these sherrifs never pulled me over for dark tint.

I have 1% on my 05 Escalade. Took a while, but your eyes get used to it. After a year, I got my old 05 tahoe back with 5%, and driving at night with 5% is a breeze lol almost feels stock
2% is the OG limo tint from back in the day when I was in high school. I was surprised when recently shopping for tint that the minimum is pretty much 5% nowadays. I'm happy with my 15% all around and my rears with the factory smoke come out to about 3%. It's amazing what a difference each percentage makes when you're in the single digits!
I aquired a larry same color and year lariate 4x4 5 speed manual 4.6 liter. However i need to make it work, its missing the keys and could use a title now which can be pricey in my state. 250k miles on it and a spare motor from expedition part out. Nice truck. P.S. when i hook a battery up, i can turn it jumping solinoid theft warning on but goes off i think when i open door radio on. Fuel neck not attached at tank. They'd had the driveshaft out becuase i heard replaced clutch but im not counting on it. Larry is Inspiring me to keep trying. Thanks
The main reason it’s so dark is because it’s actually not 2% because factory glass isn’t 100% it’s between 70-80 so when you put 2% on top of the factory glass it’s actually around 0-1% almost blackout
Next time you work with tint if you wet your fingers you won't have to worry about finger prints getting on the tint. Also cleaning inside of the weather stripping will keep the tint clean longer when you roll down the windows. Over all great job with it though!
If you take the panel off of your back door and peel back the clear plastic you will more than likely see a Broken clip I put a zip tie on mine a year ago and still works fine!
I noticed the film brand that had the 2% film only had a maximum warranty of 1 year. The lifetime warranty was not available. I wonder if it has issues with bubbles or discoloration after a year?
Love the videos man, I have a 2003 f150 extended cab and I'm gonna get the same lift soon, how does the ride quality feel?? And the back doors are super easy to fix, both my back doors had that issue but watch videos where they fix them with zip ties

I worked in a tint shop a old guy who had been there told me a tip but Kinda late on this but it cut ur truck on and run the heat for about ten minutes on full blast tint bubbles will be non existent
Well I’m currently going back-and-forth with them if they’re going to actually give me a replacement piece for the one that was messed up. If they do send me a new piece I’ll inform everyone who they are but as of right now I do not want to promote them.
Im from the squat truck state of S.C. and boys around here daily 2%-5% tint and tbh not many tickets for it. They usually only do it if you’re being stupid.
Where did you pick up the pre cut pieces? I wanna do a mix of 5 and 2 percent and 30 on the shield but i dont know if i should take it to a shop or do it myself. I have a 2011 z71
Alex Harmon if you’ve never done it before take it to a shop. The front windows will need some shrinking and the windshield will need a lot of shrinking. If you want to try it just do the back and pay for the front and windshield. The back 2 and back glass should be flat and not need any if I remember correctly. I ruined so much film learning how to shrink and after doing it for years I still burn one and ruin it every now and then. It’s one of those things that takes a lot of time, film, and patience to learn. Not trying to discourage you or anything but unless it’s something you want to do for making money it’s not worth the price of ruined film in my opinion.

Most of my customers don't want to bother taking the time out when they might not be happy with the results. I shrink most of my pieces to just make them fit better and not have to deal with fingers.
Lil king nite if you get up directly next to it and cover with your hands yes you can but that’s pretty much with any level of tint. I got .75% and you can barely see in by doing that

I had one of these window kits fade over about 1.5 years and my "5%" is now "35%" ... it was from the company on ebay that sells out of kentucky
my super duty I got recently is in the exact same color but its been in a mom and pop shop for like 3 weeks just for some electronic problems

If you remove that molding there are alignment holes in the fender that will be there. he'd have to replace the fenders and the bed to get solid ones

Some baby shampoo and water in a bottle works great from cleaning the window and smoothing the tint
