      rich's takes get more and more silly when the draft get closer and closer.... a kid get closer to xmas day, he get so anxious and exciting so he cant think anymore... the giants takes are clearly the worst. they wont take a qb, they just want more teams selecting qbs ahead of them to get nabers.

    If Drake Maye is there at 3, I’d take him. He’s young and is a #1 overall caliber player in a lot of drafts imo.
    But if Maye gets taken at 2, I’d 100% trade down for as many day 1-2 assets as I could get. That team needs as many dart throws as they can get.
    Like, maybe the Vikings offer 11, 23, plus a ‘25 1st and 3rd to move up… I’d take that in a heartbeat. Then, grab a tackle, receiver, edge, etc with your day 1-2 picks. Eat one more bad year of football, target QB next year with a better roster.

    • @beanie3427
      @beanie3427 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mrvincentjackson There's definitely not a Caleb Williams caliber QB in next year's draft, but its super deep in QBs who could elevate to becoming Maye prospects. Shedeur, Ewers, Allar, Weigman, Leonard, and Beck all have a good chance I'd say. I also think Milroe, Van Dyke, KJ Jefferson, and Uiagaleilei have a shot to raise their stock as well. I could definitely see 2-3 of those guys putting their stock into top 5-10 territory.

    I have reached the point where I do not feel like it is smart for them to stay at 3 and pick. In this order, I believe they should 1) trade up to #2, 2) trade down, 3) stick and pick
    Trading up to #2: This is the future of your franchise! That carries some serious weight and I want them to put their fate in their own hands. Despite sacrificing additional capital to move up, I would feel so much better with this move than waiting at 3 because it means they are going to get 'their guy'. They are convicted enough that this player is special and to me that's so much better than sitting at 3 and hoping Washington makes a mistake. BE AGGRESSIVE and don't let someone else write the story of the next 4-5 years for you.
    Trading down: If they don't like one of these guys enough where they feel the need to go up and get him, why should they just sit tight and take a player that they don't think is 'the guy'? Don't just take someone for the sake of it. Oh well, not your year for a QB, it happens. They're a dime a dozen anyways. In that case, take the haul someone is willing to offer you and look to someone on day 2 / next year. I think this team has a high floor regardless of if they play a rookie QB or not.
    Either way, I don't think staying at 3 makes sense. You are both missing out on guaranteeing you get your guy at 2, and passing on the haul you could get in a trade. To me, this is a no-brainer that if they pick at 3 on Thursday, it is a massive mistake.

      And it's a massive mistake if they move down and one of these QBs end up balling out while they're stuck at QB purgatory. No one wants to see another season with poor QB play again and wait until next year which is a weak QB class.

      @@jasonlejuan975 I hate to break it to you but the majority of "poor QB play" comes from rookies haha. You may be in for that this year regardless of what they do. Also any determinations about any position group next year right now are just silly

    Are either one of these players projected to be Hall of Famers, or "solid starter"? So why would you blow you future as a new head coach? Jayden Daniels is a farce. He is a product of LSU's offense. His skill players are other-worldly and his line is good. He is fast, yet has the worst running instincts I have ever seen by a ball carrier at the collegiate level. He throws to wide open receivers/RB, doesn't throw into tight windows, and he has ZERO career-defining wins. ZERO. Joe Burrow had three of those games in a row, in one year.
