Team Friendship vs. Team Meta was honestly such a good face off to see in GF. I couldn’t have thought of a better way to end off such a tournament for this great game.
I could have understood how Tom & Jerry fit into the meta but Nakat pulling this off with Wonder Woman and looking almost unstoppable with her was the most insane upset in this entire tournament since she's been one of the furthest from meta. I, as a Wonder Woman main, sincerely look up to Nakat. The teamwork was impeccable and there's clearly a reason why Void is the king of Tom & Jerry.
A minor thing that I find interesting is seeing everyone use different controllers, rather than (basically) everyone using gamecube controllers in smash
Been saying this since the Alpha WW is like Mythra but w/o the weaknesses. She can really control the game in a more honest way than Bugs. 1 of Bugs biggest weaknesses is that when he needs to get in he can't. WW doesnt have that issue. Nakat performance was really peak WW and he was the biggest reason they dominated. He controlled the pace of the game by knowing when to exert his pressure.
It's literally just skill difference, nakat and void are just way more experienced in this kind of game. Determining a character good this early is crazy because almost everyone so far is trash. Half the people in this tourny got 6-0d and shows just how they are just trying to abuse attacks because priority and good moves. lt can definitely carry you but it can only take you so far if you aren't baiting your opponent or reading them or abusing something the other guy doesn't know how to deal with even if sometimes it's easy.
