agree with both the 2 comments below . Never asked for this TM 30 address thing and I've been here 20 years . Only time I need to give proof of my residency is when I renew the retirement visa . When I return after going 'back home' I have never been asked to report or show where I stay ,I just carry on with the tedious 90 day crap and annual renewal
The other comment below is spot on , depends who you get ,who's on duty ,what frame of mind they are in and if your luck is in or out
    "chock dee"

retired in Chiang Mai about 2007.Retirement extention. Two weeks later Thai immigration in their thoughtless wisdom decided to change retirement extentions.Your wife had to be 50 and have her own income.Disasterous! Two weeks later they came to their feeble senses.4or5years ago they mentioned doing it again but stopped this nonsense before implementing itAnd you wonder why we are nervous

Depending on which immigration office you use and the "rules" of each office can be confusing even here in the Philippines. Thanks Benjamin.

From my experience with the Jomtien office using a non-O with marriage extension for the last 15 years or so, they have never asked for a TM30 and I have never volunteered one. So it really does vary even between different groups within an office.

I still have no clue on how to write a Thai address. I'm hoping to figure that out this time around.

I was wondering if you could tell me what are the similarities and differences for Foreign Freehold and Foreign Quota. I thought I knew the answer, but have heard people with different definitions.
Also, I recently heard someone on Samui say there was a moratorium on Foreign Freehold now. Is that correct and what does that mean.
    Thank you

If you are extending your 60d tourist visa by 30days do you reuire a TM30 aswell as a TM7?

Yessir If you go to immigration office, you would indeed. The host or hotel should provide you a “receipt of notification” which you can bring a copy with you to extend the visa for the TM30. The TM7 you would fill out yourself that they can provide to you

It's a trap for Newbies. Punters who know what it is can do it easy in the most part. The Chicken Heads need to bin it.

    Beware AirBB’s and TM 30
Earlier this year I wanted to expand my tourist visa and needed a TM 30. The renter was not willing to help.
    His response
    Hi Michael,
I have spoken to the property manager and he is requesting that I need to provide further documentation for your visa extension in Thailand.
Please be advised that I am not local and do not feel comfortable providing confidential information to a third party for visa extension - furthermore I myself am not resident in Thailand at the moment and do not have access to the information you have requested.
It is therefore why we will not be able to provide such information - I suggest you inform them that you are staying in a short stay/hotel and therefore cannot provide such information rather than as a guest of someone in the region.
Alternatively I appreciiate if you need to change accommodation where such information/details can be provided then I would completely understand and we would provide a full refund for the days not stayed in the apartment accordingly.
Aplogies we could not be of further assistance on this matter.
    Kindest Regards,
    Harpreet
I used a visa agent in the end.
