Thank you for this video! It really helped clarify the fuse installation. Never done one before and I wasn't sure if I should include the fuse I took out or replace the one that came attached until watching this video. I appreciate it!
Thank you! Are you still using low from rate or motion detecting? I just got this camera and it recorded 4300 files in one day. I think both connections are always on. Got any suggestions?
fuse is just a wire that melts when the current is higher than the spec (5A, 10A, etc). Once it is melted, the circuit is open. No current can flow when the circuit is open.
@@supuman pls refer to frame @2:55. Yes, in the situation mentioned above, it will bypass the 7.5A fuse. However, the camera is STILL PROTECTED with the 5A fuse. (pls see adapter diagram at 2:55) And if there is no 7.5A, (while leg B is on hot side) camera may work , but device that need the 7.5A circuit (e.g. radio, light, wiper, etc) won't work unless there is 7.5A fuse in there. Information above can be validated by removing the 5A fuse while have leg B on the hot side. The camera will not work. Or simply use an Ohm meter to verify the diagram of the fuse adapter in this video. (I cannot claim this with another adapter brand, but it should have similar design). That is why I mention polarity does not matter (camera and car device will work and protected as design when BOTH fuses are in). ^_^

You are very welcome. Thank you very much for leaving a comment.
You’re a legend for this!! Thank you
Thank you for the kind words for for taking the time to leave a comment! ^_^
Holy shit I don't have enough knowledge to do this!

I am using motion detection for now. If any of the (3) cameras point toward a high-traffic area, you will get many files.
@PeterTech the car is just sitting in the garage and I got over 4,000 files in one day. Something's off
I found the kit doesn't have the right fuse connection for my 2020 Nissan qashqai
Umm, my kit comes with fuse adapters in different sizes. Make sure your kit has them all. One of those sizes should fit your car.
Is the vantrue VP04 power adapter to the OBD2 socket safe for a hybrid car? (any errors etc.) Vantrue N5 camera.
Sorry, I have no information about that. Hope the Vantrue manufacturer can help answer the question.
You are wrong polarity is important otherwise you will still have volts going thru even if a fuse blows

@ the direction of the add a fuse is important if you’re hot side of the fuse box is on the wire side of the add a circuit the fuse is being bypassed.
