- Dit jaar is het precies 40 jaar geleden dat John Lennon werd doodgeschoten én hij zou dit jaar 80 geworden zijn. Reden voor The Analogues om dit najaar met een ode aan Lennon door het land te touren. Ook aan tafel: Gerard Ekdom met zijn zoon Lennon, uiteraard vernoemd naar de legendarische Beatle.

I heard the news on the radio while driving home from a night shift at about 0820 UK time the day it happened. I remember it like it was yesterday. This is a remarkable performance.

Yes guys, I know Rolling Stones are on par with The Beatles, performed on the stage longer than The Beatles and all that, but there were no bands copying Rolling Stones to the detail in appearance or in sound like Analogues do.

Diederick invariably does a great job on the McCarney songs, but his performance on Imagine is just incredible. Well all these guys are great so I'm not going to single anyone else out. Yes I am, Jac on While My Guitar Gently Weeps - words fail. Looking forward to seeing them in Birmingham later this year. One final thing - I reckon on every song that involves the strings, at least one member of the orchestra has a look on their face which says something like 'this is just so great'!

I respect and adore all four members of the Beatles. Sadly, John and Yoko's dream ends abruptly following a catastrophic collision with reality. But if they found-out about a perfect planet, he and Yoko could buy a spaceship and move there. Things are looking better now!
John has been reincarnated and is on that stage! Bravo!
