Darius Whittle he’s not disrespecting Bill because Bill has always been equal to regular Thor, this Thor is powered up because he has the Odinforce and power cosmic. If it were regular Thor then the fight would be even.
Well he IS Allfather now and wielding the Power Cosmic now as well certainly doesn’t hurt. Still it’s nice to see Thor a legitimate powerhouse again. That pimp-slap was epic, Thanos might have a new challenger to his title of most OP pimp-slap in the universe.
Thor feats: Thor fights for two straight years without food or water. Cosmic King Thor effortlessly sends Beta Ray Bill crashing down to a moon with a pimpslap. King Thor shrugs off a blast from amped Galactus. King Thor blocks amped Galactus' blasts and blasts Galactus. King Thor takes several hits from Stormbreaker. King Thor uses the odinforce to summon stormbreaker to him. King thor hits mjolnir so hard with stormbreaker that stormbreaker breaks and stuns/koes Bill briefly.
not to mention, the writer did all that without making bill fodder, thats how you write a badass fight, no one is fodder everyone is strong in their own right, so no need to retcon fodderize someone to make the other look good
@@isaac15752 people saying this writer showing thor and odin's powers correctly but he Still showed them Bleeding after Only ONE hit After they landed , granted the weapons are powerful but , Bleeding ?? in One hit ?? , - only saw this video
Thor was still using his sky father power his Odin force is ALWAYS activated he only power down his cosmic abilities hence the reason why Galactus attacked him briefly.
I love the fact thor power down the cosmic power and galactus who is not hungry and weak anymore blast him and thor with the odin force has no trouble blocking galactus beam..
@@thereaper6061 dude Beta ray Bill in the issue before it attacked Thor when he was fully powered by cosmic power AND his sky father power was still there guess what? He bleed.
In all honesty bill calling thor unworthy is at least ironic at this point .. Thor agreed to help galactus in order to stop the black winter which is coming to devour the universe. He also saved the people of the planet that galactus fed on and promised to find them a new home.. If someone is unworthy its bill who is driven by vengence against galactus ignoring the bigger picture ! At least that's what i think. Fernando Comics keep up the good thor work man !!
Yeah this is pretty much it. It’s not like Thor would be doing any of this if there was even a slight chance that some other way was going to work. . This is why I’m a little unsure about Sif and how things are gonna go down with her next issue. I mean with her powers to see everything she should know that there’s no other way. I have no issue with her stepping in to protect Bill from Thor, but the way it seems to be leading from her dialogue is that she agrees with Bill, which is kinda confusing. Hopefully she’ll be able to talk some sense into the Korbinite while simultaneously allowing Thor to continue his mission without any further interference from Bill.
Justin Anderson I think she is there to protect bill and not cause she totally agrees with him ! Then again that remains to be seen , but we can all agree this run is several steps ahead of the latest ones we got with Thor ! I love Donny’s take
Thomas 98+ Yes we can certainly agree on that. And hopefully you’re right. Hopefully she’s just there to stop 2 brothers from killing each other over what seems to be a glorified misunderstanding. Also she love Bill and doesn’t want to risk Thor killing him.
@@andreasnorstrom9759 It is Thor's rune from Nordic language, so in essence it means "Thor". All the gods had their own runes. It can also mean "giant", depending on the context. If you try looking it up, though, a lot of websites these days add modern interpretations to the rune.
This is the Thor we've all been waiting for, for years now. Even before Jason Aaron's Jane Foster's run which was the worst run from the true Thor fans perspective and I'm glad to see we are many with the same perceptions/opinions and wants. Too bad Taika Waititi won't follow suit in the MCU and will again give us his version of comic relief Thor who will again be nerfed and watered down to fit the Captain Marvel is the most powerful character in the MCU narrative. Thor who is now King Thor and should have inherited his father's powers and abilities which was made up of the powers of his grandfather King Buri, his father King Bor, his two brothers Vili and Vé and Odin's own powers plus the "Asgard Life Force" which all together make up the (Odin Force). Add all these powers to Thor's own immense and vast powers due to his own special lineage, being the son of Odin and Gaea/Jord who is the Eldest Goddess of Earth and you get the most powerful King of Asgard ever! I sure hope that Donny Cates keeps going in this direction of what the true King Thor (Thor Force) should be. In this small excerpt of the comic book, King Thor (Thor Force) relinquishes the Power Cosmic given to him by Galactus to show Beta Ray Bill that he does not need the Power Cosmic because he's powerful enough as he is without it. I firmly believe that Donny Cates should continue in this direction for as long as possible so that we can eventually need/have a Rune King Thor to face new and old most powerful foes/cosmic entities in the multiverse. If that was to happen, I think I'll start buying comic books again, something I haven't done since early 2000. P.S Don't take this to the bank, but I think/believe that the most sold collectible item of the Marvel Universe is "Mjolnir" that is sold in many various versions. Some made of resin, Zinc, special composites, various alloys and other materials I don't know. My point is, the Marvel character of Thor is a cash cow for many companies, 1:1 scale Mjolnir from toys made of resin and other materials and all the way to forged items specifically required by collectors to blacksmiths wanting more than just a toy and closest to the real thing as possible. You'll never get anything like that from Captain Marvel. And with that said, if Donny Cates continues in that direction with his real version of King Thor, fans and collectors alike will have a renewed desire to own collectible items/memorabilia and might even start buying comic books of Thor once again. The Marvel character of Thor will continue to live on, collectibles will still gain value through the years and will still sell movie tickets and comic books while Captain Marvel will be long forgotten and will never have anything related to the character worth more than face value no matter how many times they reboot the comic books of Captain Marvel.
@@SKnight1968 you talking about Captain Marvel like that makes me remember the original Marvel, his righteous nature and heroism, as when he stopped Thanos by hitting the cosmic cube while in the verge of being aged to death. He is an iconic character.
This was a really good fight- because both parties have valid points, and cannot or _will_ not see the other's, which leads to a clash of fists rather than words. Bill is right in that Thor has friends, companions, and more than sufficient powers to call upon if he wanted to fight the Black Winter. Thor is right when he says that it's not his place, as a King, to ask others to die for him, and opts instead to try and take this power from Galactus in order to stop the Black Winter. And yet, in so doing, he is actively assisting Galactus in killing 5 planets. He wants to do good and save lives, as King, and yet when were those other planets and their people given a choice? It's not an easy decision to make, and there might not BE a "best answer," here.
@@FernandoComicsOfficial yeah I thought so and yeah maybe not the Odin force but I didnt see him use the OF at all. But thanks for uploading the video as always great stuff.
That was a beautiful Story. Brothers in War fighting each other and don't want to actually hurt each other but must do so in being able to achive their Goal. And at the same Time it shows Thor how he should be.
Good to Donny cates displaying Thor's skyfather levels of power, Thor right is just in another league than him, Can't wait to see Thor battle the black winter and I wonder how powerful Galactus is gonna become if he absorbed All 5 planet's.
@@1973Ganesh Agreed, Thor is getting a lot of respect from Donny cates but I hope Galactus also gets this luxury, I wanna see Galactus after absorbing all those planets
To be honest I’m not sure why Sif seems to be siding with Bill. I mean I know that she loves him and I have no issue with her stopping Thor from killing him. But her dialogue seems to indicate that she agrees with Bill. “If you wish to continue this insanity, then I’m sorry Thor, the only way, is through.” Sounds to me like she agrees Thor is in the wrong here which he really isn’t. Bill is just being stubborn and is too caught up in vengeance to see the bigger picture. Besides, it’s not like Thor just let Galactus eat a whole race. He actively teleported the people of Clypse to his own kingdom, his own home to save them and has every intention of finding them a new home even after he was unable to save their original world from being completely destroyed by Galactus. I mean it kinda annoys me that his was never mentioned. I’d have though Thor would have said something about it to help calm Bill down. Especially when Bill started talking about the “death of another world” and “how much death will you have on your crown” etc. I know I’d have said something, I’m just really interested to see where it goes from here and whether Sif is indeed planning to fight Thor with Bill, or just defend Bill from him.
This issue was absolutely great and emotional in some sense. Both were brothers in arm and Bill sees that Thor has become something else as he tries to bring him back to his sense.Meanwhile, he recall Galactus destroying his home and wanted his revenge and wanted to duke it out with Galactus but cosmic Thor was on his way. This issue looks like a tie in to god hunter comic which I haven't read. Cosmic Thor wrecked Beta ray bill to a near by moon, and meanwhile, he is able to go toe to toe with Thor force and make him bleed. I'll give Beta ray bill credit for that. But Thor was holding back clearly. The same writer made gladiator owned Beta ray bills ass easily in guardians of the galaxy comic recently. 😂
TheMan Moses Yeah even if he lost the power cosmic, he’d probably look like that. Which is good, Cates is doing what a lot of people were hoping. Making Aaron’s run easy to ignore.
King Thor is one ornery S.O.B and I love it!! When Galactus "made" him his herald it was like trying to make a Rabid starving wolf your house pet. This is Thor!! Screw Jason Arons BRAVO CATES!!
This was awesome, I think bill is driven by vengeance and Thor just needs to explain to him what is happening in a better manner but the only manner they know is to fight

Thanks for sharing. As much as I am a Thor fan , I do have to point something out on this story here. I call it plot induced stupidity. Galactus has been reduced into Marvel's biggest whipping boy for decades now and the writers forget what he really is. Consider that Thor is half Asgardian / half Elder God who is now a Sky Father. Consider how many Elder Gods & Sky Fathers exist in the Universe. We are talking hundreds of millions at the very least. Consider that all the Sky Fathers of Earth combined with the Eternals might and Gaea (Elder Goddess - Thor's mother) were insignificantly nothing compared to the power of a small handful of Celestials (Thor 300). Consider that taking the sum total power of the Universe and subtracting the power of all Elder Gods and Sky Fathers still leaves us with the incredible power of all other things including cosmic abstracts within the Universe. Now consider that Galactus has the power potential of a Universe because he is one ... fused with Galen of Taa. (Thor 168 - 169). Consider that Galactus can absorb any power he so chooses that exists within the Universe. Consider that Galactus' power in the hands of Dr. Doom was used to defeat and absorb the power of pre-nerfed Beyonder (Secret War 1). The same pre-nerfed Beyonder that was able to tear through all the multiversal Celestials like they were a morning breakfast. The same pre-nerfed Beyonder that poofed multi-Universal Mistress Death of the Endless into non-existence - causing all in existence to be immortal as no one could ever die. The same pre-nerfed Beyonder that dwarfed the Living Tribunal in power. Galactus is capable of absorbing and using that level of power. Consider that Stan Lee has on multiple occasions stated Galactus is the most powerful entity based on absorption potential with the sole exception of The One Above All. Only something powerful enough to threaten the entire universe should be capable of threatening Galactus. Galactus under proper writing is not an Egomaniac. He doesn't call someone a little god with out knowing it. When he called Hercules a little god (Hercules 4 limited series) he proved it by turning Herc into a worm, then into nothing, then back to Hercules to demonstrate to Hercules not to challenge him. In fact, it was Zeus that banished Hercules to teach Hercules this humility, that the Earth Gods are nothing compared to the Universal power of Galactus. So speaks Galactus, Marvel's biggest whipping boy.
@@typeouetco1626 You said "Gaea didn't fight the Celestials. *Who said she did?* Based on your comment, I believe you completely misread my post. PS: My reference receipts were given and they back up my points. Thor issue 300 clearly stated Thor as the son of Gaea & Odin. It's a shame that Disney are the current owners of Marvel IP. @@typeouetco1626 *Yes, you can compare them.* Gaea brought the Celestials a "Gift of Humanity's best" as her truest & strongest attempt appease them. Finally the words I so wanted to read at 1:30 into this story line, Donny Cates is giving the character of King Thor the proper respect he deserves as one of the most powerful cosmic being even without the power cosmic bestowed upon him by Galactus who King Thor almost killed at the beginning of this run but made him kneel instead. That's how powerful a King Thor (Odin Force) truly is. He's now the all father of Asgard, a SkyFather and cosmic entity all on his own. I've been trying to explain these facts to the younger generations that only know the Thor character through the eyes of the MCU and know nothing of Thor's true Lore and his true powers and abilities. from Prince Thor to King Thor (Odin Force) which should now be called the "Thor Force". Don't forget King Thor's true lineage, he's the son of Odin and Gaea/Jord the eldest earth Goddess herself. This pairing was King Odin's way to assure he'd get an heir that would one day be more powerful than himself (Odin) ever was and he even says so in early Thor comic book original story lines by Stan Lee himself. Hence why Prince Thor was so powerful, more powerful than any other Asgardian Princes before him. The All Father King Odin had preordained his actions to mate with Gaea/Jord and was so that Prince Thor and later on King Thor would have powers that would surpass even his own, in order to protect Asgard and the 9 realms and succeed in stopping Ragnarok where Odin failed. If you want a short sum up that details Prince Thor's ascension to becoming the new SkyFather/All-Father King Thor (Thor Force)? Then just let me know and I'll post it on here. It explains anything and everything you need to to know that explains where King Thor (Thor Force) now fits in the cosmic power's delicate balance and also why King Thor (Thor Force) is more powerful than any Asgardian Kings and Princes before him, yes even more powerful than Odin (Odin Force) himself ever was.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who still remembers this. Thor’s half Skyfather, half freaking ELDER GOD. Elder Gods are multiversal beings like the Vishanti and other extra-dimensional mystic entities. It’s also the reason that Rune King Thor was so much further above Odin. I know he aid the Runes (unlike his father) and made greater sacrifices than Odin did but that shouldn’t have boosted him to multiversal levels like it did. It was a combination of those things AND his heritage which allowed him to become that ridiculously powerful. Still, nice to see another Thor fan who remembers his history beyond the last 10 years.
I was teached that about Thor like over 9 Years ago and i still remember that clearly. It's like if you don't know that, then you shouldn't even try to argue about Thor at all. So i am happy to read it from Time to Time in the Comments and to know, that real Thor Fans will never forget that.
@@justinanderson2460 Thanks, we're definitely on the same page. I started collecting Marvel/DC comics in the mid 70's and stopped in the early 2000 and then passed on my collection as a family heirloom to my son when he became of age in 2012. And yeah, without boasting, it's a well valued collection because while my friends were buying sound systems for their cars that were worth more than their cars, I was chasing down old collectible comic books and I have many from the mid 60's. As for Rune King Thor, I didn't know much about the character till I started reading the story lines and all that it entails. King Thor from what I've read went from just being the All Father of Asgard and a SkyFather level powerhouse, even more powerful than Odin was as a SkyFather himself, protector of Asgard and the 9 realms to a Abstract multiverse cosmic entity and destroying "Those Who Sit Above In Shadow", Gods of Gods and rumored to be "Beyonders". Making Rune King Thor a Cosmic being who's one with the multiverse an definitely now part of the cosmic power balance. The following is something I posted a few of days ago in regards to the (Odin Force) and "Thor history" and the reason I'm posting it here for you to read if ever you have a few minutes, is to show how in sync we are about the true lore and history of Prince/King Thor. It's a long read so I won't be offended if you don't read it but if you do, I'm sure you'll find that were definitely 2 fans that mutually remember our Thor history, here's what I posted... *Hi folks and fellow Thor fans!* *I've posted a long detailed comment/history on the Odin Force, it looks like a long read but it goes pretty fast.* *It's a in depth sum up of origins and Marvel Thor history in regards to the "Odin Force"* This event has to happen since Odin passed, it's Prince Thor's birth right to inherit the "Odin Force". So I hope they will rectify this lack of respect to the character of Prince Thor to King Thor (Odin Force) which should now be called the "Thor Force". First, the origin of the "Odin Force" is not just thanks to his 2 brothers dying in battle vs Surtur. For the entire history, we need to go way back in the past up to Thor's great grandfather King Buri who is said to be the first Asgardian who was a cosmic being wielding immense powers on his own but also wielding an extra almost incalculable power "Asgard's Life Force" which was then called the "Buri Force" Since he was the first King of Asgard and had the life force of Asgard combined with his own extreme powers, he was a Skyfather and created Asgard and all of Asgard's Gods thanks to the "Asgard Life Force/Buri Force" he possessed as King of Asgard. *Quick note, the MCU wants you to buy that Asgardians only live 5000-6000 years long,* *which is false and especially for the strongest like it's Kings and Princes and other Asgardian Gods.* *Marvel Universe comic books from early on has always claimed that Odin was millions of years old and so is Prince Thor and other Asgardian Godly figures.* Now back to our history... King Buri had a son, Prince Bor who was extremely powerful in his own rights as the then 1st Prince of Asgard. Eventually King Buri passed on and bestowed all his powers and abilities upon his son Prince Buri plus also the "Life Force Of Asgard" which at the time was called the "Buri Force" before Prince Bor inherited his father's powers and abilities plus the Buri Force. So all those new inherited powers combined to Prince Bor's own vast powers and abilities as Prince of Asgard (who was also born a cosmic being like his father before him). Now that Prince Bor inherited all powers by birth right he became All Father King Bor "Bor Force", SkyFather. He became more powerful than his father before him due to inheriting his father's powers and abilities combined to his own powers. So now King Bor "Bor Force" eventually had 3 sons, Odin,Vili and Vé, all born as cosmic beings like their father and grandfather before them. Their own powers as Princes of Asgard made them way more powerful then their own Father when he was Prince himself due to King Bor's inherited powers and abilities of his father plus his own, hence why his 3 sons were so powerful as just Princes of Asgard. Eventually King Bor "Bor Force" passed and his 3 sons each inherited by birth right an equal portion of their father's vast powers and abilities but also their fair share of the "Bor Force". All those new inherited powers combined to their own existing and immense powers as then Princes of Asgard. So, now let's get to the battle with Surtur where Vili and Vé died in combat and how & why Odin became so powerful, more powerful than his grandfather, father and his 2 brothers. After his 2 brothers died, Odin inherited all their powers/abilities as Princes of Asgard, which means also the powers and abilities they had both inherited from their grandfather through their father and their portion of their own father's powers plus their portion of the "Life Force Of Asgard", so Prince Odin now King Odin literally inherited all the powers of his direct bloodline from his grandfather/father/brothers plus the "Life Force Of Asgard" which was then called the "Odin Force". So basically the "Odin Force" is Asgard's Life Force combined with the powers and abilities of all Asgardian Kings/Princes, hence why King Odin was the most powerful King of Asgard, more powerful than all his predecessors. So as powerful as Odin was, he wanted an heir who would be the most powerful Prince of Asgard and eventually even more powerful than him (Odin) ever was even after inheriting all his bloodline's powers as Odin did when he became King Of Asgard. To do this, Odin mated with the eldest earth goddess Gaea/Jord but raised by his then wife Freya. Prince Thor only learned of his true lineage starting on issue #300. So now in the MCU, we have a King Thor who still hasn't inherited his entire bloodline's powers and abilities and "Asgard's Life Force" which will be called the "Thor Force". And due to him inheriting all the powers of former Kings including Odin and Princes of Asgard added to Prince Thor's own extreme/vast powers that made him the most powerful Prince of Asgard even more powerful than a Prince Odin. King Thor "Thor Force" is not just a SkyFather but now also a power that has purpose in the cosmic power balance of his Universe. Plus, since MCU went off script with Stormbreaker and decided to make it the most powerful weapon ever conceived for an Asgardian King, more powerful than Mjollnir, The Odin Spear Gungnir, the Odin Sword Ragnarok, so add that to King Thor "Thor Force" and his inherited powers of his bloodline since the beginning and the MCU can pick pretty much any comic book super villains, up to even certain Abstract Cosmic Entities like Galactus who a Prince Thor defeated with his God-blast. This King Thor (Thor Force) being more powerful than King Odin ever was can be a challenge to lower level Abstract Cosmic Entities and as for the more powerful Cosmic Entities. We'll have to wait for the MCU to bring in a "Rune King Thor" if the MCU ever goes there, which I don't think they'll ever will. Some of the Feats of strength and power from Prince Thor as per the story lines of Stan Lee through the first 4 decades of Prince Thor's existence in the Marvel Universe comic books... th-cam.com/video/QBXHu67XUS0/w-d-xo.html These feats are of Prince Thor and not King Thor "Odin Force", so you can only imagine how strong and powerful a King Thor "Thor Force" can be. If not still convinced of just how powerful Prince Thor was and how powerful a King Thor should be, let me know and I'll give you even more examples from the Marvel Universe material source itself to show more feats of his. *If you took the time to read me, thank you and much appreciated*
Stephen Knight+ Part 1 of 2 While this is a pretty comprehensive history, there’s a few things I’d like to mention. . First was where the MCU is billing Asgardians as 5000 or so years lifespan. The ancient Egyptians are over 5000 years ago yet in comics there’s hieroglyphics in certain temples and pyramids which depict Thor interacting with Pharos and their armies. And he looks exactly the same then as he does now (again, in the comics). And that’s just a single example of the multitude that exist. . But the main point I’m interested in discussing is the idea of the Buriforce/Borforce. For starters, Asgard as we know it today, didn’t even exist in Buri’s time. He was never the “King of Asgard” because “Asgard” was established by his son Bor. Buri himself wasn’t even what we know as “Asgardian” today. He was something else entirely and completely unique, discovered in the ice by the cosmic cow Audumla and the frost giants who encountered him, took him in and allowed him to live out of curiosity. He was raised by them an learned more sorcery than arts of war, despite being incredibly powerful in his own right. But he ended up mating with a giantess (don’t ask me how that happened, probably some sorcerous shapeshifting involved) and in turn the giantess gave birth to Bor and his brothers Mimir and Njord. Bor then went on to father and found the Aesir with Mimir’s help while their brother Njord went on to sire the Vanir with Giantess Skadi and founded Vanaheim. . Eventually Buri wanted to abdicate his authority and so Bor challenged and defeated his father in combat to earn the right to succeed him and he had his own sons Cul, Odin, Vili and Ve who together, established Old Asgard, in an era predating Asgard as we know it. . Bor achieved this by taking the Giantess Bestla as his wife and then siring his 4 sons Cul, Vili, Ve and of course Odin. Bor was also one of the Gods who helped create the universe and this feat, combined with his other achievements and great power, made him the unquestioned ruler of the Aesir. . Cul ended up being forgotten until much later but the main focus here is Odin. When he was born, Bor groomed him to be King much like Odin groomed Thor. Teaching him how to fight and rule and defend his dreams. Only he didn’t like it when Odin did his own thing. For example when Odin created man, Bor was furious. And since he was unable to undo his son’s actions, he instead visited every calamity on humanity that he could. . But eventually the crown passed to Odin. The issue with this is that it happened prematurely and Bor technically never died. Loki imprisoned him in ice for Millenia and Odin (the only one who new the truth about this - although he didn’t know who had done it) decided to tell everyone that Bor had been slain by underhanded trickery from the Frost Giants and used is as an excuse to start genociding most of their race. Odin has come to hate his mother’s people for some reason and as such teamed up with Vili and Ve to wage a war against them, making their whole realm bow in subservience to the rule of Asgard. . Next Odin wished to expand his realm and simultaneously reform the Vanir and Aesir back into one race so he gave an ultimatum to Frey (the now leader of the Vanir in place of Njord who had abdicated). Frey refuses however (something about pride from memory) and so decided to entreat Surtur and the forces of Muspelheim to aid him against the Aesir. Surtur agreed and Odin answered in kind, sparking the Aesir/Vanir War. After many years of war, Odin refused to slaughter any more of the Vanir and instead offered a truce in the form of his marriage to Frey’s daughter, Freyja. All parties accepted and thus Odin annexed Vanaheim and the Vanir back into Asgard, creating the Asgard that we know and love today. As an interesting side note, Mimir, Bor’s other brother, was at some point in the war sent as a hostage to the Vanir as a gesture of goodwill and proof of their intent for peace. This was answered by the Vanir who cut of Mimir’s head but kept it alive with magic, sending his still talking head back to Odin and the Aesir. Odin in turn transformed Mimir into a fiery being (basically a disembodied floating head which was also on fire) and entombed him in the Well of Wisdom in Asgard. This became known as the Well of Mimir and it was Mimir who Odin sacrificed and eye to in order to gain the wisdom to stop The Ragnarök cycle. . In any case, it wasn’t until after all this had taken place that Odin and his brothers then travelled to the realm of Surtur to steal the source of his power and neuter him as a threat to Asgard. Unfortunately, Surtur was far more powerful than any of the Asgardians imagined and he would have killed them all if it wasn’t for Vili and Ve sacrificing themselves to buy Odin time to escape. Instead of outright running away however, Odin absorbed the lifeforce of his 2 brothers and created the Odinforce as we know it today. This great power was enough to push back Surtur and seal him in his realm while still making a getaway with the Eternal Flame. This was the birth of the Odinforce.
Stephen Knight+ Part 2 of 2 The reason I’ve layed all this out is because typically, the Odinforce is only passed on when Odin dies. Now we know that Odin was able to tap into the lifeforce of all Asgard when he needed to but we’ve actually never seen that from either Bor or Buri before him. Especially since in Buri was never a warlike being and his reign was pretty much entirely peaceful, meanwhile Bor (who was a born warrior) only ever had dominion over half of his father’s people (the Aesir) while his brother Njord ruled over the Vanir. It wasn’t until Odin’s time as King that the Asgardians proper were even under one ruler. So even if Buri did have some power of his own to pass on, there’s nothing to indicate it’s anything like the “lifeforce of Asgard” and there’s no mention of anything in the comics of a Buriforce from anything I’ve read. . Likewise with Bor. He was simply OP. And like his father, he never technically died and therefore never had a chance to pass on any power that he might have otherwise passed on. It would seem that whatever innate power was in Buri (the First God) was made more powerful by mixing with the lineage of the Giants. Hence why Bor could be more powerful than Buri (he did defeat him in combat to take the throne in the first place after all) despite Buri having 3 sons (meaning ultimately his power should be split 3 ways if it was in fact passed down like the Odinforce was to Thor, especially since Njord went off to become King of the Vanir and assumedly Bor’s equal in his own right). This explains why Thor (even with the Odinforce added to his own power) was barely able to defeat Bor when he was freed from his ice curse by Loki in the present day. In fact Thor made it abundantly clear that he’d have been killed instantly without the Odinforce buffing his powers and even then, it literally took ALL of his power and the full might of the Odinforce channeled into a single blow so powerful it shattered Mjolnir, just to take out Bor. And even then, it took him a little bit to finally die. So it stands to reason that Odin alone would still have not been as powerful as Bor (or may have been his equal) due to the fact it took Thor’s power AND Odin’s combined to take him out. And even then, only barely. This is further backed up by the fact that Bor had 3 sons so his powers should have been equally divided amongst them at their birthplace if that was how it worked. Sure Odin fixes that later but he did so by creating the Odinforce and that should have (in theory) only brought him up to Bor’s level anyway (although that’s doesn’t take Cul into account who should have received an equal amount of power from Bor just like his other brothers - meaning Odin fusing Vili and Ve’s powers to his own would still only be ¾ of Bor’s own power). . Moreover, while Bor himself was a perfect blend of Elder Asgardian (it’s what I refer to Buri as) and Giant blood, making him seemingly more powerful than either, Odin and his brothers had their Elder Asgardian blood somewhat diluted by an extra generation of Giant blood thrown into the mix as per their mother. Making them technically 2 parts Giant and 1 part Elder Asgardian. And we know that the Aesir>>>Giants. Even Elder Asgardian>>Giants. But finally, when Bor did eventually die, no power was passed on to anyone. Odin was dead so it should have gone to Thor but that’s not what happened. Bor just died and his power seemingly went with him. So the idea of this passing on of power was never really a thing until Odin. . But this actually makes perfect sense when you think about it. Odin was the first one to realise that something was off with Ragnarök (namely, he didn’t like the idea of a predestined doom for all his people) so he went and did the whole sacrificing an eye to Mimir for the wisdom to stop it. This sacrifice didn’t just givehim the answer though. It instead revealed that Ragnarök was a cycle that was repeating, with the Gods coming back a little less each time than they were before. . This was what prompted him to mate with Gaea to make an heir who “surpasses all of Asgard”. Moreover, as Thor is part Elder God of the Earth (Midgard) his fate is not solely tied to Asgard, ergo he’s not entirely bound by the cycle of Ragnarök. Moreover, to ensure his son was as powerful as possible, Odin deigned to pass on his own might, to ensure Thor was he most powerful Skyfather to ever live. However, that alone was not enough as we discovered in the past where Thor was still born but it didn’t manage to break the cycle. Ergo it wasn’t until The last cycle where Odin sent Thor to earth in order for him to learn the ways of Man in the hopes that this new-found “humanity” might be what Thor needed to finally fulfil his destiny. Turns out Odin was right. It was this interaction with humans and The Avengers that led Thor to becoming the God necessary to not only succeed Odin, but walk the same path, only this time going further than even his father, mastering the Runes and then proving himself worthy of inheriting the Odinforce. We see all this come to fruition with Rune King Thor who then becomes 1 with the universe as the cycle resets for the last time and Thor is reborn along with, in time, all of Asgard, now finally free to make their own destiny. . Anyway, the point I’m getting at here is that it’s as far as I’m aware, the Odinforce was CREATED by Odin, and was never a thing before him. Buri (and Bor in particular) were just really freaking powerful due to being an Elder Asgardian (basically a mini Elder God) and an Elder Asgardian/Giant Hybrid, respectively. Odin was the first true Skyfather of the Norse pantheon and his forebears were more akin to Elder Gods or Primordial Gods than the Asgardians we know today. . While it could be argued that Bor’s great power was due to them having access to the “Lifeforce of The Aesir” due to Bor siring the Aesir (assumedly with this power) while Njord sired the Vanir (assumedly with a similar power) as each of them would have inherited a third of from their father Buri if that’s indeed how it worked. Since Buri was still defeated by Bor, it remains to be seen if Buri indeed had or has a power like the “lifeforce of Asgard” or if he was just powerful innately. The issue I see with him having a power like this is that Asgard didn’t exist initially so how could Buri have such a power?? Unless it was from this power that his sons drew to sire the Aesir and Vanir. But even into Odin’s and Thor’s time, Njord and Mimir were still around so theoretically, they would still possess part of Buri’s power. Unless it was all passed down to Bor which was never stipulated so this is all speculation. And all of this is ignoring the fact that Cul was still alive all this time and he would have had a part of Bor’s powers as well so the Odinforce would not have been the complete power of Bor anyway, it would be more like 3/4 of it. . Basically, once you start really getting into the details of their family tree, the lines of succession and how it all went down, there’s no real mention of any kind of passing of POWER from an ancestor to their descendant until we hit Odin and his creation of the Odinforce. It’s more just a passing of position and while Odin did eventually battle Buri and come out on top just like his father before him, what we’ve seen of Bor (which is precious little) indicates that he was likely more powerful than even Odin. This does kinda make sense as the further down the line you go, generally the weaker and more diluted the powers of the Gods become (with the exception of Thor that is). This is the same across all pantheons too, not just the Norse ones. The Olympians are the same (for example). The Titans had to band together and surprise the Primordials in order to defeat them and even needed help from one of their number to do so. Then the Olympian Gods has to do something similar to overthrow the Titans. This indicates that individually, the previous generation of deities were more powerful than their descendants, only the descendants rose up in unison and greater numbers to overthrow their parents and so on. This theme continues all the way back to the Elder Gods themselves who are ridiculously OP beyond even the mightiest skyfather. . As for the MCU, there’s a deleted scene in Thor Ragnarök where Odin give Thor his powers and is then killed by Hela while powerless. This explains Thor being “awakened” in Ragnarök but frankly, considering how powerful MCU Odin actually was, Thor still seemed way too weak to be a legit skyfather in the MCU so far, so I’m glad that scene was left out/altered. This way it seems more like Thor simply awakened power that was always within him, allowing for the Odinforce to be expanded upon later (although somehow I don’t feel like they’ll ever actually do this.... sadly). Anyways, thoughts??
The Asgardian Prime How high are we talking? Just saying summoning the Bifrost, Reviving Thor after he was burned by a Star, and cutting through an energy blast by a completed infinity gauntlet is pretty impressive.
Literal gods fighting on some desolate planet in the universe, and the most unrealistic thing about it is that Thors hair always manages to stay out of his face when hes doing something cool
People always agree with the "greater good" until its their planet and their people. "Greater good" is just an excuse to do the right thing the easiest way. Bill is right here, he basically tells Thor yeah of course he cant solve the universes problems by himself however he had plenty of people to turn to BEFORE Galactus and instead chose that path because yes it may lead to victory but the way it leads to victory is wrong.
Dude, this story is truly sad, bill and Thor were oath brothers and that was supposed to be a bond unbreakable, but with Thor’s decisions, it pitted brother against brother and I mostly blame galactus for it. Good story so far though, granted I see bill as the true worthy son of mjolnir and the most honorable being out there
It's the writers being idiots. To get Stormbreaker, Bill fought Thor to a standstill without a hammer and then beat Thor in 1v1 combat to earn his own hammer.
No one can write Thanos well but Jim Starlin. I wish Marvel will stop using him as a saturday morning cartoon villain who exist only to give the heroes epic feats.
Fantastic battle although there are some strange things afoot. With Thors current power level , its doubtful BRB could even hurt Thor , much less make him bleed. Thor didn't appear to "de-activate" the power cosmic , just changed his look to show he was still in control. Also , unless "superfemi power" , i cannot possibly see how Sif will make the slightest difference , during Blood and Thunder Thor alone with no power ups absolutely handed both of them , and many others their asses on a plate. And they really are being unreasonable , Thor is fighting to stop a threat that could very well wipe out all existence and BRB and Sif are just fighting because Thor has chosen to work with Galactus to stop it , in my view they are in the wrong. One last point , with the Odin/Thor force - surely Thor could just teleport them away to some pocket dimension until his work is done. It shall be interesting to see where this goes.
Was sif ever donkey punched by Bill? I think they did have a little thing going on in the past. Thor never forgave her . Bill ruined her for everyone else.
Thor should have gotten his butt kicked. Where'd he get the extra Odin force? He never lost it when he stepped down and let Baldur be king. His version was mostly used up by Dr. Strange to repair Mjolnir when Bor damaged it.
It's the Thurisaz rune, the rune of brute force basically and has variable meanings... my source: runelore.it/en/meaning-rune/rune-meaning-thurisaz.html
Thor took his power and galactus wants it back lol but can’t Bc Thor won’t allow it.That speaks volumes on Thor power at this time yet Galactus still calls Thor “Lil god” but at this point Thor is his biggest threat and he seems to be turning an ally into an enemy and a very dangerous enemy at that let’s not forget Thor now has the Odin/thor force on top on his Cosmic power lol he league’s above what he was before

Yes we can certainly agree on that. And hopefully you’re right. Hopefully she’s just there to stop 2 brothers from killing each other over what seems to be a glorified misunderstanding. Also she love Bill and doesn’t want to risk Thor killing him.
Maybe if Thor was more forthcoming about what he was doing instead of keeping everyone in the dark, he would have more supporters.
John W.B I bet he will repair it using the Odin force and after thor explains the situation bill will join him but that’s just a theory

This is MY THOR!
thank Odin for Donny Cates.

To be honest I’m not sure why Sif seems to be siding with Bill. I mean I know that she loves him and I have no issue with her stopping Thor from killing him. But her dialogue seems to indicate that she agrees with Bill.
“If you wish to continue this insanity, then I’m sorry Thor, the only way, is through.”
Sounds to me like she agrees Thor is in the wrong here which he really isn’t.
Thor seems pretty annoyed that Bill isn't trusting him and getting in his way to stop the black winter.

So speaks Galactus, Marvel's biggest whipping boy.
thor is the son of the phoenix force, and gaea didn't fight the celestials.

*Hi folks and fellow Thor fans!* *I've posted a long detailed comment/history on the Odin Force, it looks like a long read but it goes pretty fast.* *It's a in depth sum up of origins and Marvel Thor history in regards to the "Odin Force"*
This event has to happen since Odin passed, it's Prince Thor's birth right to inherit the "Odin Force".
*Quick note, the MCU wants you to buy that Asgardians only live 5000-6000 years long,* *which is false and especially for the strongest like it's Kings and Princes and other Asgardian Gods.* *Marvel Universe comic books from early on has always claimed that Odin was millions of years old and so is Prince Thor and other Asgardian Godly figures.*
Now back to our history...
Some of the Feats of strength and power from Prince Thor as per the story lines of Stan Lee through the first 4 decades of Prince Thor's existence in the Marvel Universe comic books...
th-cam.com/video/QBXHu67XUS0/w-d-xo.html
These feats are of Prince Thor and not King Thor "Odin Force", so you can only imagine how strong and powerful a King Thor "Thor Force" can be. If not still convinced of just how powerful Prince Thor was and how powerful a King Thor should be, let me know and I'll give you even more examples from the Marvel Universe material source itself to show more feats of his.

Part 1 of 2
While this is a pretty comprehensive history, there’s a few things I’d like to mention.

Part 2 of 2
The reason I’ve layed all this out is because typically, the Odinforce is only passed on when Odin dies.
This way it seems more like Thor simply awakened power that was always within him, allowing for the Odinforce to be expanded upon later (although somehow I don’t feel like they’ll ever actually do this.... sadly). Anyways, thoughts??
wow bro this was so awesome love it! :)

The Asgardian Prime How high are we talking? Just saying summoning the Bifrost, Reviving Thor after he was burned by a Star, and cutting through an energy blast by a completed infinity gauntlet is pretty impressive.
God I hope not. Thor should be more powerful than Bill.
Sif controlling the Bifrost is kinda pointless. Thor now is the All Father, he should be able to summon it or stop it on a whim
Great Thor moment
6:41 Kudos to Marvel and in a Thor fight to boot...bout damn time.
I'm sorry but the "AND YET" line is there in the top 15 comic book lines
YES!! It's a culmination of years of reading comics to come to the one panel and read 2 words that make your head explode.
Literal gods fighting on some desolate planet in the universe, and the most unrealistic thing about it is that Thors hair always manages to stay out of his face when hes doing something cool
Sif your loyalty must be to the throne..... Nothing else
Is that Mastered UI Thor?
People always agree with the "greater good" until its their planet and their people. "Greater good" is just an excuse to do the right thing the easiest way. Bill is right here, he basically tells Thor yeah of course he cant solve the universes problems by himself however he had plenty of people to turn to BEFORE Galactus and instead chose that path because yes it may lead to victory but the way it leads to victory is wrong.
That music is fucking epic👍

OK ITS TIME FOR THAT THOR AND SUPERMAN REMATCH!!!!! AND THAT BITCH WONDERWOMAN!!!!
we reaaally need more of BRB, he is not used as much as he should be. (his new miniseries is great though)
How Thor gonna do his homeboy like that
Dude, this story is truly sad, bill and Thor were oath brothers and that was supposed to be a bond unbreakable, but with Thor’s decisions, it pitted brother against brother and I mostly blame galactus for it. Good story so far though, granted I see bill as the true worthy son of mjolnir and the most honorable being out there
Imagin getting nerfed so hard that you need 3 amps just to be considered strong again
I really hope Bill gets a power up at some point my mans got rocked here...
This is the odin son i love
Thor powered down big time after he smacked BRB.... if you notice his ruin and tunic is no longer glowing and his hair turned back yellow.
It shall be interesting to see where this goes.
would brb raise his mace against odin? no, there should be more respect for all father thor now
