I'm still using Affinity Photo and always will. I use Neo as a plug-in although from time to time I do use it as my primary photography editor. I only watch two TH-camrs for photo editing lessons and you are the only Luminar tutor, many thanks for all the great work.
Anthony is an excellent Luminar teacher, but you may also want to check out Jim Nix's channel. He's a Luminar Ambassador and also puts out a lot of great Luminar videos.

I am pretty new to Luminar(1 week in) and find your tutorials easy to follow and very informative. I do however find chromatic aberrations difficult to deal with ie purple fringing. I had no problem with ACR and photoshop, but the tools for defringing in Luminar are really basic and don't work too well. Any chance you could do a tutorial dealing with this issue. Thanks again for your time and effort, I have been binge watching for the last week ;)

Unbelievable in a very good way. I can see I am going to need a computer dedicated just to photo processing. This was a great video. I’ve always objected to adding fog since I like the viewer of my photos to see everything. I know that is just me but can you do a video on cleaning up the haze from landscape videos?
Absolutely stunning transformation, Anthony. This is the best example of using curves that I've seen in any video! I am so motivated and full of ideas after watching this. Question: If you place the sun centre off the palette, will you be able to "grab" it to adjust later?

And thanks for all your kind comments 😀 If you place the sun centre off the canvas and thn want to reposition it later you need to click the "place sun centre" button again, then it'll be repositioned on the canvas at the closest edge position to where you'd initially draggged it off. You can then pick the centre point again and re-move it.

Hi Anthony... I like the edit you've done and a great video again well done..... I like the way you use Luminar, I do still use Lightroom & PS mainly but I do use Neo as an add on also Topaz. I do like Neo and it's features, I also tend to go a bit OTT with the edits but love the editing as much as taking photos, you do great videos Anthony, all the best... Colin.

Hi Anthony, like Colin below I have been using Luminar for a few months. My photoshop days go back the 1995 with version 3. I am retied now and got feed up with paying the subscription but had to do back to it, all those years it is hard to let go. Also like Colin I use the Topaz suite of products as most of my photography is on and the underwater in the Bay of Islands, just a bit farther North than you. Not always easy to get perfect focus and Topaz beats PS and Lightroom hands down for focus and noise. You last video was excellent and got me in the LN process. The bit I am not getting my head around is using adjustment layers correctly, I know you should be able to use them with LN as a PS plug in. I would love a video on using the layer mask process in LN or within PS plugin. Cheers Denis
Hi Denis. Thanks fo rthe comment and the video request too. I'll see what I can do. In a nutshell though from Photoshop simply invoke Neo from the filters menu, any changes you make in Neo will then be applied and baked into a new layer added to your stack in photoshop.
Great video Anthony. Technical explanations .... but not toooo technical. I've followed along with a flat image of my own from the previous video. So, I've done the basic develop workflow and now being more creative. You mention that we have now moved away from the raw file .... but when I open develop as per your instructions here it's still develop Raw. Should I have saved the initial edit as a JPEG first? Thanks.
Hi David, hmmm that seems odd that the 2nd application would still say develop raw. Because once we apply new tools over the top of the initial edit we're now working on that state of the photo, which isn't raw data anymore. No, not sure why that would be. 🤔 Anyway, no need to save the file along the way. Just at the end of the edit.

Hi Steve, Im actually in the process of doing an updated build. But the current system is ryzen 7 2600, 32gb ddr4, 2tb m.2 and overflow 1tb m.2, nvidia 1070ti. I think that's about it.

Great edit! Just curious, why didn't you clone out the people(?) or objects there in the middle-right-hand part of the picture. I found those more distracting than the little stream in the lower right hand portion of the picture.
Hi Matthew. Just an oversight on my part. Yes, you're right, they should have been obliterated with the clone or erase tool. 👍
So I've opened up the image again to clone out the offending people I thought I must have missed. There aren't any? There's a bit of drift wood near the meandering stream and there's a digger near the bank (well not anymore) maybe it was that you saw?
@@AnthonyTurnham Possibly. Tough to see exactly what is there. At 2:40 in the video, you are zoomed into that area. Something red that looked like 1-2 people, and a bit further up near the tree line, it looks like there are some markers/signs along a road there? Looks like white-ish poles along a road to me. Anyway, nothing major. Just looked out of place to me as you were going through it. But maybe it was just some driftwood or the digger. Again, tough to really make it out, but the color was the thing that caught my eye. Just that reddish blob there on the bank.

Thanks the video. However, this is the level of software tweaking that makes me worried about the art of photography. I know this was a creative edit showcasing Luminar but to think some random rubbish photographer can do this is worrisome to say the least. I can see that you are aren’t a shit photographer and do approach raw editing like a real photographer but it just boggles my mind that Sundays can be added so realistically to a photo when they weren’t there to begin with. After seeing the edits of many of these AI photo softwares I can definitely now tell them apart from a realistic photograph or purist Lightroom style edit.
