Hi. Thank you. Its hard to diagnose the problem without seeing it but a few things I can think of would be to make sure the cleaner is getting proper suction and there is nothing clogging it. The oscillator should move freely. While the cleaner is on, flip it over under the water and make sure its moving back and forth. With proper suction it should be moving fairly fast. If its not moving, try and move it back and forth with your hand. There shouldn't be any resistance. If so I would recommend taking it apart again and double checking the correct positions of the gears and make sure they move freely before putting it back together.

@@handyandy1794 I've had a chance to get back to my troublesome pool cleaner. It was not moving but once I got in the water with it and Jiggled the oscillator, it took off. I have purchased & replaced the Cam, Gears and Oscillatore assembly. Now the cleaner is going around in circles. I did not pay attention to the B & C on the cam before I took it apart. Could I have that in the wrong possition? I put mine in the same position as your video. Thank you so much!
@@janeschurr8416 It seems like you might have a problem with the lift brush getting stuck in the down position. I would check the gears again and make sure everything is working properly before putting it back together by moving the oscillator back and forth. You will see the lift brush start to slowly move. What can I expect to spend in parts for this project and should I use strictly original parts or can I safely save on other brand replacements. I looked at one set at the Pentair official site and they have it at about $78.00 and then I saw another company offering the equivalent at $13 and change,
@@Leonardo-Studio Honestly I don't know if there is that much of a difference between the pentair part and the other. I actually just purchased the 13.99 part along with the other off brand gears and vacuum skirt to rebuild mine. So Ill be putting them to the test. The only Pentair part I had to purchase was the lower body replacement since there is no off brand for that. For me, with the off brand pricing, Im willing to give it a try. The lower body cost around 90. If you don't need that and you're just replacing the other parts it should be around 50 bucks.

Loved your video! I bought the new parts & rebuilt my Great White. It looks right but still just sits in the pool without moving. Any further advice?
