Thanks for the video! Between your video and the other author's suggestion of teflon tape to snug up the clutch, the SandShark is moving again. Thanks again.
this was one of the only cleaners i never learned how to work on, i watched this a few times while taking apart & putting one back together in our workshop. thank u soooo much for this video!!
Thanks 🙏 The bottom flapper section that you just popped off needed replacing on my unit as it was worn and jamming on the edge. Couldn’t work out how to remove it without forcing it and doing other damage. When I saw yours pop off I was happy to put some more force on it and same. Just popped off. New one clicked on just fine. Thanks again👍
Update: 5-15-22 Use ""Heavy Duty Tin Foil""...Teflon Tape breaks down after a while....... (Old) Have you tried Aluminum Foil?, Teflon tape (Blue Monster Tape) did not give me that much longevity. I just put foil on mine today.....Great Video Thank You !!!
I just performed this procedure. Thank you. What an amazing reverse engineering feat you pulled off! 🙏

How can you tell if it is the clutch or the oscillator that is the problem.
The clutch is the thing that is going to wear out. (husband says)
Was the reason you got a new clutch because the vacuum wasnt moving properly?
Yes. The clutch makes it steer from side to side.
