- In a search to try and find the best cheap pressure washer, I wanted to test out a pressure washer that i have seen over the last year or so... The WEN 2000psi 1.6gpm electric pressure washer. I picked this up on Amazon for $80 which is a fantastic price for ant pressure washer. I didnt expect it to actually get 2000psi but how did it do? ENJOY!!!

I found an amazing deal on a new AR Blue Clean 2300 psi, 1.7gpm machine that also lists lower "rated" psi and gpm. Why do they deceive us that way? So far I am very pleased with its ability to remove mold and mildew from my siding and brick. I haven't used it on the car or concrete driveway yet, but my hopes are high. Besides, it's the coolest-looking PW out there! I think it's great homeowner equipment.
I need to stop watching your channel, because I also bought a McKillons swivel gun, MJJC foam cannon, and Chemical Guys Sticky Snowball soap ... and that stuff cost more than the PW itself! Seriously though, thank you for all the in-depth and honest reviews you create!

For $80, I'd say this is a very solid pressure washer... people don't realize that most $80-$100 electric pressure washers are more than sufficient for 95% of home use needs. I had a gas powered 2700psi pressure washer that was way too strong and actually inhibited me from cleaning certain surfaces because it was too powerful. In today's time, you really don't need a gas washer unless you have commercial grade needs. Having 2-3 decent electric washers for a detailing shop, you're in good shape. At $80, get two if the and keep one as a backup.
For washing car yes electric is sufficient.. for house usage i had to disagree.. for washing away a green mold from a concrete driveway you need those gasoline high gpm and psi to be able to use floor cleaner attachment.. my experienced using those electric washer to do my household cleaning it takes more than an hour to clean my driveway and wooden fenced, the electric washer will get hot fast and stop operating when using directly for more than 40minutes.. with electric it can only remove green mold on the driveway with 0 degree or a rotary turbo nozzle while if im using my gasoline 3600psi dewalt, it takes less than 20minutes to get it all done, it can easily clean anything even with the 40 degree nozzle.. For electric washer that can get to that higher psi and gpm will be too expensive compare with a gasoline unit..
@@harisyoung4110 for most home cleaning needs a $100 electric washer is enough. I washed my car and house cement and except for a couple old oil stains it did a good job cleaning the concrete.
Great video. I have been debating on a new pressure washer and wash looking at the new Adam's pro but it looks to be a PIA to move around, wish they had caster on it. Helli might grab this little guy for now. Thanks again

Looks nice looking at the gpm and psi numbers from testing but doesn't seem reliable to me; the way it struggled with it's own soap dispenser seems like it may not be the only flaw, only time will tell. I feel more confidence walking into a Lowe's or HD and getting one of their ~$100 pressure washers, if only they came with better hoses...
I heard you recommended 1.4 gpm for mobile car wash. Would a gravity feed system work effectively with 1.4 gpm?

As a detailer for a dealership our pressure washer’s psi is rated on 3500psi with a 3.0 orifice and a 15 degree nozzle and a gpm of 2.5 (don’t remember actual) and it’s perfectly fine paint has never been chipped or damage and we clean high end cars with them and no damage at all I would prefer over a 3000psi pressure washer it will also help get tough dirt off and less work. And also before you ask yes I’ve used the 15 degree about 2-5 inches away from the paint and nothing happened
I’m with you in that actually. When I first started I bought a trailer set up from a detail company and the pressure washer was powerful! Actually allowed me to use less water and it worked great. For most people though I think the lower psi is safer

What electric power washer got the highest psi that you’ve tested?
Not bad for $80 but of all the videos I've watched I'm kind of gravitating towards Ryobi for my future first pressure washer.
I was about to jump on the 1600 psi/1.2 gpm but then seen the Ryobi 1900 psi/1.2 gpm just because it's on wheels and can be carted around like a travel bag.
Hard to go wrong with a ryobi!
800 psi is perfectly fine. i run my crappy buget ryobi 1800 and get 750 800 psi and 1.7gpm with 4.0 tip. work annexing still. its still wayy better than a garden hose. so test the larger tips to confirm. id rather have 750 psi and 1.7gpm than 1100psi and 1.3
Good option when the 225$ active ve52 is too much, I've been there I understand. Also the ar clue clean for 130 at ace does a real 1.6.

I ended up getting the WESTFORCE 2800PSI they have a 40$ coupon discount on Amazon it came out al 59$ and I got it so I can save the money to get the upgrades that you suggest so hopefully it works good..
I always thought the lock mechanism was for user not to have to keeping pressing in order to get the water going, fingers not getting tired
That’s what I would prefer!!! But the locking mechanism for storage is standard with most pressure guns

Great pressure washer. There's nothing wrong with the original pressure washer wand.. the problem is that it isn't long enough... I have mine being fed by a 1.6 gpm diaphragm pump...
1.6 isn't enough . Directions say at least 2 GPM so I bought a 5.5 gpm.. works great...

Disclaimer: I’m NOT a Debbi-downer, but I am honest with people.
ALL pressure washers of this caliber have a run time of 60-150 hours. Yes, you read that correctly. This includes SunJoe, GreenWorks, Ryobi, AR Blue and all those. I’m not blowing smoke here, they are engineered that way from the factory. If you don’t believe me, don’t. All you have to do is contact the manufacturer … they are legally obligated to tell you. Why do you think they’re all closed systems with no way to service them? Hmmm … well … that’s the reason. Yes, they’re cheap and will perform (some of them are quite good). However, ALL of them are doomed to fail right from the factory. If you’re okay with that, no harm no foul. But buyers beware.
Assuming typical detailing use, i.e. washing cars, approx 100hrs of runtime seems reasonable. Assuming 30 mins per vehicle, which seems generous, you can still expect to use it on over 100 vehicles. So maybe your cost is about dollar per vehicle, give or take. I know the whole cost of an aftermarket hose and wand is higher, but you can keep those when you replace the machine.

@@joeschmoe6908 I made no mention of a rip-off, so not sure what you’re on about. I’m just offering this as information, you can do with it what you want. You can even ignore it. Having this information is better than not having it … in MY opinion. In the end, you buy/use what you want within your means.
So that means if I use my pressure washer for 4 months out of the year, once a week to wash my truck @45 mins each use. That would be
16 washes X 45 minutes per wash = 720 mins, divided by 60 mins = 12 hours per year
Which means my pressure washer will last me for... 8.3 years. Seems like a good use of a hundred dollars to me.

Spend $48 more for the Stanley 1600 model. "But it's $48 more!" Lay off the burgers and crab cakes for a month and you'll make it up. In five years when the Stanley is perfuming like new and your friends WEN is taking up landfill, you will not miss the $48.

Yea that’s the one, mine does have a swivel. McMillan usually has two options on that listing but it looks like the swivel version is sold out right now

This is the first time I watched one of your videos and the first thing you do to demonstrate the Wen is destroy the included hose. Before plugging it in and demonstrate it's pressure. You tell people to replace almost everything except the pressure washer itself. Why even bother? Sounds like your a TV sales pitch demonstrating how not to do something. Just to pitch there companies products

@@imjoshv they have a tomrek knock off some people like but I have always seen that the rest of their stuff is junk.. the upper end… of junk…so I’d take it over a cheap Chinese knock off.. ( ryobi jk). But it’s below them.. far below.. but I’d trust them jsut as much.
