Possibly the greatest college song ever written, no other school could have inspired this tribute. And to sydIRISH....you don't get it, you aren't an alumni, if you were, and immersed in five years of grueling higher education at the school, you would "get it." This song, sung as it should be, as a battle cry, which I have heard repeatedly at the stadium and at events, can be earth shuddering. This version is basically a cappella sung for a concert audience. And yes, there is a space in "a cappella."
All I know is I have been in Notre Dame Stadium when this is played across the sound system, and I'm not sure how anyone can not take notice when it's on. Go Irish!
