If I were you I would pot you’re cacti in inorganic soil, you’re able plump them up and water them basically daily since it would dry up quicker. I have all my cacti in pumice(only rooted) and it’s allowed the taproots to get huge
@Datura good thing I never advised anyone to break off, attempt to propagate, or otherwise touch an already planted and growing Saguaro. All I said was you can buy the seeds at the gift shop.

@@tracibrown9849 A lot of the national and state parks, especially those named for cactus, have a lot of really big ones and good hiking trails. Near the city, the Desert Botanical Gardens ($$) if you want a lot of cultivated variety and only have an afternoon.
Best place to go is Saguaro National Park in Tucson AZ to see the biggest and most lush forests of saguaros. The Sonoran desert has the most beautiful landscapes, wildlife, and cactus. Also some of the best food.
