Nancy Olson was always a delight in her roles. We should have seen more of her. Regarding Gloria Swanson in her Sunset Boulevard performance, she was........ MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you realise after watching sunset how brilliant nancy and indeed wilder were.the plot is so intense and claustrophobic especially if you watch it in a theater that without nancy the film could become so overpowering and fraught that it would be very hard to watch.she is the normal world of bright sunlight and as the movie progresses the audience become joe desperate to escape but still drawn to the dark hell of swansons world with all its madness.nancy acts like a safety valve and because of her brilliant performance the cynical huckster joe becomes a sympathetic figure we want him to escape but know like he does that he cant
Highly recommended: "It’s the Pictures That Got Small, Charles Brackett [1892-1969] on Billy Wilder [1906-2002] and Hollywood's Golden Age" [Brackett Diaries, 1932-1949], Edited by Anthony Slide [1944- ]; Columbia University Press (2015 hardcover) .
It certainly is one of the greatest films ever made. Great to see her and she's apparently still alive!! What stories she could tell. As I get older, you realise just how wonderful places the like of Sshwab's Pharmacy were and how sometimes, progress isn't always for the better.
I am mesmerized by this, and haven't been able to sit still for longer than five-six minutes for any video. THIS is amazing. Thank you Nancy. I also add that Nancy's life between December 1968-November 1969 was when she had to start all over again (from my own original research). My guess is that Christmas 1968 for her was a day to get through, instead of enjoying.
Nancy Olson still looking elegant and engaging when she was 85 or 86. She's now 89. Thanks for the upload.
How many artists speak this well... VERY FEW... Long live WHOLESOME OLSON!

Would that I be so lucid, articulate, and engaging at her age; a bonafide treasure of the film industry.
Wow. She's so eloquent and compelling. This is great!
Thank you, still Beautiful
She's so elegant ❤❤❤❤

Alan handles this, and so many other, interviews so well. I'm proud to be his friend. He's a great big little kid.
Alan Who? (full name should be in the credits below the screen, RIGHT?)
she was the complete opposite of gloria swanson which made her so perfect for that part

Such a beautiful and talented actress. I’d love to talk to her someday.

a great actress
Watching this i just think of . life
Happy birthday Nancy...
What a lovely and classy lady. Certainly not like some of the trashy, class-less actresses we have to contend with nowadays.
ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL LADY WASTED IN LOUSY PARTS....
Was Force of Arms a waste?
You're.right.She was great in Force of Arms and in Union Station too.
To do an honest remake of this film today, it would have to be about Harvey Weinstein (now serving time for the rest of his life, thank god!)
