I always thought NJ was expensive to live in so not surprised when you mention the price for fast food up there. I’m in the Midwest and a regular sized Italian at JM’s costs $10.25 plus tax. Hands down worth every penny ❤

Love your reviews! Is Penn Station East Coast subs an option near you? As another chain fast sub shop, they do a good Philly as well that may compete and be a good comparison.
My go-to is either the Italian with extra meat, Mike’s way add pepper relish or the big kahuna cheesesteak xtra meat, add portabella mushrooms. I always get the Miss Vickie’s jalapeño chips too!
I order a 26 with no lettuce or tomato add franks red hot sauce while the chicken is cooking with some grilled onions peppers and mushrooms with bacon and top it off with ranch shits gold 💯

#56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. Grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños & extra white American cheese. I like it on rosemary parmesan or whole wheat. I rarely eat subs, but when I do it's only Jersey Mike's #56.

I haven’t been to Jersey since my dad passed away eight years ago, but I was born and raised there. Do they still sell Sweetzels spiced wafers at ShopRite? I remember them being my go-to in the fall (I haven't had one in about ten years). If you’ve never had them, I’d be interested to get your take on them. Anyway, digging the content, man! I love Jersey Mike's but I still crave the mom & pop hoagies with spicy capicola. Theirs is too mild, but the chili pepper relish makes up for it. I love the Big Kahuna. It's the closest thing to a real cheese steak that I can get in my area.
Im here in Utah, there are 2 places i would go to for cheesesteaks that are better then Jersey Mike's but they are small deli, same with the meatball and chicken parm BUT Jersey Mike's people are always awesome, the quality of food is something they care about and I can appreciate that especially being a franchise
:: Public’s Grocery Store use to have the championship cheese steak, till they started microwaving it!. No more flat top chopping it, at least down south in the Carolina’s!. I’m 40 now & use to leave high school campus to get that sub & now they have fckd it up & I’m jersey Mike’s every cheese steak now…🥃
My go to is the number 4 or the big kahuna cheesesteak. but like you said they are expensive, and I can go to a deli and get a better quality sandwich for a lot less. So I'll only get Jersey Mikes maybe 2 or 3 times a year.
I absolutely love Jersey Mikes one of the best subs honestly. I really wish you could try this place and buy part of Florida call gateway subs you will absolutely love them their subs are super Superior. But Jersey Mike's is number one in my heart ❤️

That's the reason I don't order from JM. Too expensive considering we have other authentic spots that are better and cheaper. I'm also shocked they don't have a meatball sub. For a spot that originated in Jersey, they should definitely have a meatball sub on their menu.
