Hes 10 in t2. His bday is in 1985. The first film is set in may 12 of 1984 and if you watch t2 when the t-1000 searches his name in the computer it shows hes 10. The second film came out in 91, but its set in 1995, 2 years before the OG judgement day of August 29,1997 at 214 am. Ive seen them so many times haha

Very interesting topic today. There's 2 types of time travel concepts when it comes to movies. You have the cause and effect concept like back to the future. Then you have the "effect comes before the cause" concept like Tenet and to a lesser degree Terminator. It's a chicken or the egg situation for sure but what helps me reconcile the idea of this particular concept of time travel is to remind myself the notion that "this already happened". Basically the events that took place in Terminator had to have happened in the non linear order it did, to achieve the result. Paradox and time travel are like yin and yang. Excellent topic.
There are several different paradoxes related to time travel and it is very easy to twist your mind in knots trying to understand them or go down a rabbit hole reading about how others have addressed them. Not surprising Schratz couldn't get to sleep.

If the company behind Terminator never existed Then that would create a new timeline and The future would also cease to exist. Meaning that the terminator doesn't have a future. if we were to think logically, that means that time would have to create a past for him that caused him to be made. Either that or his origin will be unknown and most likely he will forget how he was created Because the "how" is gone. But then at the same time, terminators past would be in the future. So technically the terminator wouldn't have a future or a past meaning he would be in the present. damn.

in the Terminator franchise, they have always played with the notion that you cannot change fate, that such is why John Connor's father makes way to the mother to protect snf impregnate her, why they fail to eliminate John Connor himself, and ultimately how Judgement Day was delayed, but never truly stopped.
i believe in fate, that things happen in the way that they turn out for a reason, it's something that Science cannot prove exist, even when probability exists and yet things can happen in defiance of that probability. fate, destiny, whatever you want to call it, it is real and that is what in the end defeats Skynet, because in all probability the human race should be finished, eradicated between the bombs and the bulky metallic machines loaded with superior firepower, but human determination and resilience defy that probability and humanity survives.

I remember watching a documentary “American Factory” about a Chinese billionaire who buys a shuttered car factory and open an auto glass manufacturer. One part, some execs are walking thru the plant floor. An employee says Hello.
