I 100% agree with you, the same thing happened with KFC in our area with their prices they started charging chik-fil-a prices just thinking thats what people are willing to pay for fast food chicken. Those two restaurants are not even in the same ballpark, if you're gonna charge me chik-fil-a prices then you need to have the same quality and service they do. So thats why chik-fil-a has a line around the block and KFC drive through is empty.
All fast food is location based. Though chic fila seems to have better corporate practices so seem to be more consistent. There is a local kfc here and it's really good. Though some days they gorget to give you that honey mustard you asked for.
Man, I can't with these franchises anymore, lol. I feel like I keep going back to them, or rather I try to go back to them because of pure nostalgia from younger days when these franchises came in clutch and got you through a week when you only had 25.50 to your name but they have lost sight of that and think just because they have name recognition they can charge fast-casual prices. Like nah bro, people came to you cause you were cheap not because you were amazing food tasty food but not amazing. These days I pull up the apps, see their prices and just close the apps cause it's not worth it. These days I much rather just give my support and money to local businesses, mom and pop shops cause 1 they're either cheaper and much better quality or they are similarly priced to these franchises but you get A LOT more food. Going to sound like an oldhead but soceity peaked in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s, and went downhill after the 2010s. We had a good 40 years of living the good life but if you were born in the 90s or 00s it felt like you were robbed of that lmao.
King, I loved the intro with the not-so enthusiastic look haha. Thank you for always keeping it real with food sponsors/price talk. You're by far my favorite food content creator.
Just discovered your channel and I’m really enjoying watching your videos you are very honest and explain your thoughts on the food/ meals very thoroughly can’t wait to see more videos on your channel
Preach it!!!! You’re so right… you put my thoughts into words. We rarely go out to eat anymore, it’s doesn’t hit anymore. Not even the expensive chains… we go to Publix for subs, Taco Bell, Chick Fil A and Cracker Barrel
I couldn’t agree with you more on your sentiment about these corporations and the way they are inflating these prices for subpar quality AND quantity especially compared to what it used to be like, which of course, wasn't the best in the first place( that's expected) but holy shit is it bad now.
You always good things to talk about ever since I came across your channel I feel like I know you not actually know you but I feel you a friend your mind set is to up there I love your videos my guy
I know prices between places varies but $14 per sub is ludicrous. Jersey Mikes which is 10x better than subway could ever hope to be, goes for around $10 for a regular (in Texas) and its actually a fucking sandwich.
I remember when I was little my grandpa would take us to subway because is was cheap and it would feed us for the day (the kids) and he was just a sandwich guy anyways. They were $5 and the fact they they have tripled+ their prices they are just outdated compared to the other places available now. Back then where I live there were really no sandwich places like food chains but I would only go now if I had a coupon or something lol. I would not pay full price unless I was dying and it was the only option.
King, speaking facts about the place I worked at in college - Subway. When I attended TCC & FSU I worked at the busiest subway that made the most money in the state of Florida but it's disappointing to see how the company has spiraled.
Wow excellent video, absolutely loved what you sais at the end about your influence, if only they were all like you….. imagine, thanks for caring about the consumer ❤️❤️❤️❤️ your the GOAT 🐐
Quality Control vs Quantity:New & Improved and ugrade from previous menu, great for eatting on the go,per commercials I was under the impression of (Better products, and a change in franchise leadership had improved some of the dislikes). I have not tasted tested the new menu with preference I prefer A Hoagies than A Subway, the first more meat and the other toppings. Fair enough Good Content, really like banter feels similar to realtime audience viewing.---2xtheLuv
I am watching this as I am sitting in a Subway eatinng lunch. First time eating Subway since before the pandemic in 2020 and I am so disappointed. for the $13 I spent on a 6 inch philly combo it feels so overpriced considering the food doesn't taste any better than it did almost 5 years ago. Lucky for you that you found one that was generous on the meat because I had more peppers and lettuce than protein. Food is twice as expensive, yet half as good (with the exception of the cookies).
😂 Omg I got a cramp from laughin so hard because you are NOT lying when you mentioned the flies!!!! That’s one of the reasons why I stopped going to subway because of the flies flying around and laying on the veggies and stuff. Prices are crazy and the taste just isn’t there!! PREACH KING!!!
Seems like every fast food meal i have these days are in the $15 range..post covid prices. Ive tried a few of these signature subs and theyre not bad. So these prices are not too far off being fair...Also since my favorite is the meatball sub....please try this...add a strip of bbq sauce and a strip of mayo.. Makes a big difference. Hope you try it.
Yeah, it may be .5% better, but I will still never go back to Subway if I had the choice. I last had it a few years ago and my last 2 or 3 experiences were negative. The first time was the complete wrong order for my friend and I, and the other time I found a hair in my sub and it was missing ingredients. Every time I'd go in there toward the end, it was empty and the service line looked rough. And this was back when Subway was slightly better priced... No thanks! But I appreciate you suffering for us, King.
I used to take my whole family to subway and we really enjoyed the food. Now it's a much different experience. Sandwiches are skimpy with less fillings and just aren't what we are used to. They don't even taste as good as years ago. All these fast food places are cutting back and that's unfortunately very evident. Ironically I went to a subway in France and the offerings were excellent. Just like I remembered and better. It's the restaurants in the US that have gone down the toilet. That being said, a lot of other fast food restaurants are crashing and burning. I'll make my own food at home.
At this point it's been so long since I had Subway I've been so obsessed with getting Jersey Mike's gateway subs and publix so that I have forgot about it. But I heard that they have been sold to what's the food eatery I can't remember Arby's so we'll see what changes are as is going to be making to the menu I hope they're good ones.
I think they price it high because they always offer coupons that brings the cost down greatly. Some coupons offer buy one get one free or 50% off. I stopped going because every sub I got was almost empty. It’s good that you had a better experience.
I have two friends that are sisters that live in saddle brook, whenever i visit them I pass this weird "spy gear store" off the highway lmao, I am always tempted to go in but never do. I wanna know how theyre still in business
The deluxe meatball sub (extra meatballs but not double the meatballs) is all I ever order from Subway. I always get a small side cup of jalepenos to spice it up.....always on the side never on the sandwich. Miss Vickies Jalepeno chips and blue Gatorade. That is my go to.
they always mail me 3 for $18 coupons but they have an online code on them too, so i put that into the app and am always able to get the deal for whatever 3 subs i want. the code changes like every month tho so u gotta use the new one but otherwise its good
I also remember when subway had the five dollar foot long sandwiches sad that it’s a distant memory now and the prices of a sub are almost 15 for a foot long
“$13 foot longs ain’t it chief that’s Jersey Mike’s territory and y’all ain’t them”🗣️💯💯😂😂 I only eat at subway if I have 50% off code or BOGO free ngl lmao
@kingSchratz quick tip KingSchratz when you get Subways Chocolate Chip cookie heat it up in a microwave for like 10-13 seconds and then eat it when the chocolate is melting im sure you'll taste a big difference. That is how you make the chocolate chip cookie bang!
King Schratz- Voice of the People 💯 Your honesty & authenticity truly inspires me to be my best self. Keep Shining Man, You're a Legend [& a cool guy to have table talks w lol] #SchratzForTheWin 💯🙏🏾✨🤍
We had subway tonight. Kids meal, 6 in, a footlong, and 2 chips was $30 😒 I had the great garlic and mine did not look as stuffed as the one you got, even after the veggies I added. I also could barely taste the sauce.
I hate lettuce too!! lol and I agree with Coke Zero being the best, my gf is all about the Pepsi Zero tho smh, we get em cuz for some reason they're always on sale! But it makes sense since they're "aggressively mid" lol!
We forget how much power we have and we don’t punish these companies enough for doing us wrong time and time again. But it has to be a group effort cause it’s damn near everyone just bumping up prices because they think they can, they think their product is worth more than what it is. THEYD LITERALLY MAKE MORE MONEY BY JUST PUTTING OUT A GOOD PRODUCT AT A GOOD PRICE WHY IS THAT SO HARD.
If subway drops their prices to a direction of $8.99-10.99 they’d have much more cliental because (just like you were saying in the vid King) we’re in a constant comparison with the better more quality chains that we have no issue dropping $13-15 on a good quality sub. Good review as always
lol i read overspiced XDD In Europe we dont have mom and pop sandwich places like jersey mikes or wawa or whatever. We only have subway. and its about 7 or 8 bucks for a footlong.
I can’t believe you went to subway
You been on TH-cam for 17years?! ABSOLUTE LEGEND

The KFC near me is the same. I barely even see more than 1 car in the drive through at once
KFC > chick fil mid
All fast food is location based. Though chic fila seems to have better corporate practices so seem to be more consistent. There is a local kfc here and it's really good. Though some days they gorget to give you that honey mustard you asked for.
KFC died in Minnesota we don't even have that anymore. Popeyes replaced there stores.
KFC is very popular in Europe
Dude risking his life for us.
Wanted $12-15 for a Footlong before tax.
Walked out.
NO sandwich that Subway is selling is worth $10 with Tax... NOTHING.
Not gonna lie, I miss Quiznos. They used to be my favorite sub sandwich shop
I think Iceland still has Quiznos

I tried ordering a sub and when I saw the price I about fainted 😵💫

$15?aint no way subway worth that much, my local supermarket publix charges way less and its actually full not no double meat
Wow excellent video, absolutely loved what you sais at the end about your influence, if only they were all like you….. imagine, thanks for caring about the consumer ❤️❤️❤️❤️ your the GOAT 🐐

Great review
Give me Jersey Mikes all day long
I agree with you on this. I only eat subway when I get coupons in the mail.
$5 foot longs use to be clutch back in the day, now it’s just too expensive for the same quality

It’s crazy man i still remember them 5 dollar footlong commercials🤣💯
I really miss when you used to chef up the food for these videos, you should do some of those videos again..
The opening expression was amazing
The watch is probably the best part of the vid along with this mans energy.
King have you try the buffalo chicken sandwich from subway it so good you can put any topping on the sub
Can’t believe you went to subway but they have really good deals on the app and coupons come in the mail 😅
Appreciate you doing this review because I didn't want to waste my money. Tbh I was curious about the beast sub smh
😂😂😂

Subway cookies have always been 🔥🤤 oatmeal raisin my favorite 😍
Do yall have Ikes sandwiches in jersey? I think you'd enjoy that spot! They got pretty wild sandwiches!
Great video as always King 👑

The look.😂😂😂 I have a craving for their Spicy Italian, but that's it.
Agree 💯 Expensive

Meatball Sub / Italian herbs & cheese bread with provolone cheese toasted.. add lettuce /onion / ranch 🐐
Exactly why I stopped going to the theater
I get the #6 nowadays with spinach, hits the spot and its down the street
Agree 100% They slice the meat thinner and u get less than when I use to work way back in the day.
Really? Seems like i get more now with the new meats.
I have two friends that are sisters that live in saddle brook, whenever i visit them I pass this weird "spy gear store" off the highway lmao, I am always tempted to go in but never do. I wanna know how theyre still in business
I think you can still get buy one get one off when you order off the app
That’s why I wait for them too send me coupons for half price and I love you all so much
The deluxe meatball sub (extra meatballs but not double the meatballs) is all I ever order from Subway. I always get a small side cup of jalepenos to spice it up.....always on the side never on the sandwich. Miss Vickies Jalepeno chips and blue Gatorade. That is my go to.

So true man 😭 I went to subway recently bc I was just craving it and maaan 1 foot long like is around $18 - $20 it's reeeeeally not worth it man
I also remember when subway had the five dollar foot long sandwiches sad that it’s a distant memory now and the prices of a sub are almost 15 for a foot long
You should do a Mid Monday series
i love that meme that said “how you gonna say i’m not loyal i’ve been ordering the same subway sandwich since 2007?”
That's why I be using the coupons.
“$13 foot longs ain’t it chief that’s Jersey Mike’s territory and y’all ain’t them”🗣️💯💯😂😂 I only eat at subway if I have 50% off code or BOGO free ngl lmao
Just picked up coke zero mini cans cause of you, hope I like them 😊
Subway is advertising a new fresh cut meat to just double charge the same sub and quality lol
Oatmeal raisin from subway 🐐
Over priced and highly over rated
@kingSchratz quick tip KingSchratz when you get Subways Chocolate Chip cookie heat it up in a microwave for like 10-13 seconds and then eat it when the chocolate is melting im sure you'll taste a big difference. That is how you make the chocolate chip cookie bang!
Don’t change bro 💯

I went to Subway for dinner tonight too and yes they are high now!
We had subway tonight. Kids meal, 6 in, a footlong, and 2 chips was $30 😒 I had the great garlic and mine did not look as stuffed as the one you got, even after the veggies I added. I also could barely taste the sauce.
Only time I even consider subway is if they do the BoGo free and even then it’s a stretch.
The Italian BMT is like the only thing worth eating there.
Opening scene: fix yo face
🤣🤣
My biggest problem is few locations honor their bogo type deals. Very few
I hate lettuce too!! lol and I agree with Coke Zero being the best, my gf is all about the Pepsi Zero tho smh, we get em cuz for some reason they're always on sale! But it makes sense since they're "aggressively mid" lol!
You actually liked something from subway this time is a shocker to me keep up the 🔥 content bruh
Lol😂 I made the girl get me fresh veggies 🤣 you're right
Bro really didn’t take another bite hahaha
Agree! I went to subway got foot long veggie and it was over $9!!! Not going back
I have not ate Subway since the price change. I went in the one in the plaza of my job. Saw the prices and walked out.
We forget how much power we have and we don’t punish these companies enough for doing us wrong time and time again. Love sandlot bro, also love your vids. I don’t comment much but keep it up!
the midball sub in SW ohio was 9.99 footlong. are those your prices in NJ or is that doordash prices?
For that price, I’m definitely hitting up jersey mikes before subway
If subway drops their prices to a direction of $8.99-10.99 they’d have much more cliental because (just like you were saying in the vid King) we’re in a constant comparison with the better more quality chains that we have no issue dropping $13-15 on a good quality sub. Good review as always
I always get Flatbread at subway!! Best choice in my opinion
lol i read overspiced XDD
In Europe we dont have mom and pop sandwich places like jersey mikes or wawa or whatever. We only have subway. and its about 7 or 8 bucks for a footlong.
Goin back to Midway is crazy
Subway jus needs to convert into a crumble cookie place
Thumbs up cuz $50 at Subway is CRAZZZZZZEEEEEEEEE
LOVED the Ass Chewing you just gave these companies
Ohhhh lawdy, Subway :/ Once I tried Jersey Mikes, I vowed to never go to Subway again and its been 5+ yrs since.
subway got demolished on here
😂 bro when you said the price my jaw dropped. Never would I imagine that a subway sandwich would be $15
I only do subway the few times a yr they do the buy one foot long get one free. But back in the day they were 5 bucks each. 🤷🙄
Ayo Dave is one funny dude yo, Every time I go to subway they got like 7 flies in there and we all know they’re there 🤣🤣🤣
I have always said that I want the photographer that takes the pictures of frozen food to take my picture.
That subway worker hooked u up on that beast sandwich, usually they skimp on meat
Luv the cookies
