I 100% agree with you, the same thing happened with KFC in our area with their prices they started charging chik-fil-a prices just thinking thats what people are willing to pay for fast food chicken. Those two restaurants are not even in the same ballpark, if you're gonna charge me chik-fil-a prices then you need to have the same quality and service they do. So thats why chik-fil-a has a line around the block and KFC drive through is empty.
The KFC near me is the same. I barely even see more than 1 car in the drive through at once

All fast food is location based. Though chic fila seems to have better corporate practices so seem to be more consistent. There is a local kfc here and it's really good. Though some days they gorget to give you that honey mustard you asked for.
KFC died in Minnesota we don't even have that anymore. Popeyes replaced there stores.

Man, I can't with these franchises anymore, lol. I feel like I keep going back to them, or rather I try to go back to them because of pure nostalgia from younger days when these franchises came in clutch and got you through a week when you only had 25.50 to your name but they have lost sight of that and think just because they have name recognition they can charge fast-casual prices. Like nah bro, people came to you cause you were cheap not because you were amazing food tasty food but not amazing. These days I pull up the apps, see their prices and just close the apps cause it's not worth it.
These days I much rather just give my support and money to local businesses, mom and pop shops cause 1 they're either cheaper and much better quality or they are similarly priced to these franchises but you get A LOT more food. Going to sound like an oldhead but soceity peaked in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s, and went downhill after the 2010s. We had a good 40 years of living the good life but if you were born in the 90s or 00s it felt like you were robbed of that lmao.

I couldn’t agree with you more on your sentiment about these corporations and the way they are inflating these prices for subpar quality AND quantity especially compared to what it used to be like, which of course, wasn't the best in the first place( that's expected) but holy shit is it bad now.

I know prices between places varies but $14 per sub is ludicrous. Jersey Mikes which is 10x better than subway could ever hope to be, goes for around $10 for a regular (in Texas) and its actually a fucking sandwich.
I remember when I was little my grandpa would take us to subway because is was cheap and it would feed us for the day (the kids) and he was just a sandwich guy anyways. They were $5 and the fact they they have tripled+ their prices they are just outdated compared to the other places available now. Back then where I live there were really no sandwich places like food chains but I would only go now if I had a coupon or something lol. I would not pay full price unless I was dying and it was the only option.
King, speaking facts about the place I worked at in college - Subway. When I attended TCC & FSU I worked at the busiest subway that made the most money in the state of Florida but it's disappointing to see how the company has spiraled.

Quality Control vs Quantity:New & Improved and ugrade from previous menu,great for eatting on the go,per commercials I was under the impression of (Better products,and a change in franchise leadership had improved some of the dislikes). I have not tasted tested the new menu with preference I prefer A Hoagies than A Subway,the first more meat and the other toppings. Fair enough Good Content,really like banter feels similar to realtime audience viewing.---2xtheLuv

I am watching this as I am sitting in a Subway eatinng lunch. First time eating Subway since before the pandemic in 2020 and I am so disappointed. for the $13 I spent on a 6 inch philly combo it feels so overpriced considering the food doesn't taste any better than it did almost 5 years ago. Lucky for you that you found one that was generous on the meat because I had more peppers and lettuce than protein. Food is twice as expensive, yet half as good (with the exception of the cookies).
😂 Omg I got a cramp from laughin so hard because you are NOT lying when you mentioned the flies!!!! That’s one of the reasons why I stopped going to subway because of the flies flying around and laying on the veggies and stuff. Prices are crazy and the taste just isn’t there!! PREACH KING!!!

Seems like every fast food meal i have these days are in the $15 range..post covid prices. Ive tried a few of these signature subs and theyre not bad. So these prices are not too far off being fair...Also since my favorite is the meatball sub....please try this...add a strip of bbq sauce and a strip of mayo.. Makes a big difference. Hope you try it.
Yeah, it may be .5% better, but I will still never go back to Subway if I had the choice. I last had it a few years ago and my last 2 or 3 experiences were negative. The first time was the complete wrong order for my friend and I, and the other time I found a hair in my sub and it was missing ingredients. Every time I'd go in there toward the end, it was empty and the service line looked rough. And this was back when Subway was slightly better priced... No thanks! But I appreciate you suffering for us, King.

I used to take my whole family to subway and we really enjoyed the food. Now it's a much different experience. Sandwiches are skimpy with less fillings and just aren't what we are used to. They don't even taste as good as years ago. All these fast food places are cutting back and that's unfortunately very evident. Ironically I went to a subway in France and the offerings were excellent. Just like I remembered and better. It's the restaurants in the US that have gone down the toilet. That being said, a lot of other fast food restaurants are crashing and burning. I'll make my own food at home.

At this point it's been so long since I had Subway I've been so obsessed with getting Jersey Mike's gateway subs and publix so that I have forgot about it. But I heard that they have been sold to what's the food eatery I can't remember Arby's so we'll see what changes are as is going to be making to the menu I hope they're good ones.

I think they price it high because they always offer coupons that brings the cost down greatly. Some coupons offer buy one get one free or 50% off. I stopped going because every sub I got was almost empty. It’s good that you had a better experience.

The deluxe meatball sub (extra meatballs but not double the meatballs) is all I ever order from Subway. I always get a small side cup of jalepenos to spice it up.....always on the side never on the sandwich. Miss Vickies Jalepeno chips and blue Gatorade. That is my go to.
they always mail me 3 for $18 coupons but they have an online code on them too, so i put that into the app and am always able to get the deal for whatever 3 subs i want. the code changes like every month tho so u gotta use the new one but otherwise its good

@kingSchratz quick tip KingSchratz when you get Subways Chocolate Chip cookie heat it up in a microwave for like 10-13 seconds and then eat it when the chocolate is melting im sure you'll taste a big difference. That is how you make the chocolate chip cookie bang!

I went to Subway for dinner tonight too and yes they are high now!
We had subway tonight. Kids meal, 6 in, a footlong, and 2 chips was $30 😒 I had the great garlic and mine did not look as stuffed as the one you got, even after the veggies I added. I also could barely taste the sauce.
Only time I even consider subway is if they do the BoGo free and even then it’s a stretch.
The Italian BMT is like the only thing worth eating there.

We forget how much power we have and we don’t punish these companies enough for doing us wrong time and time again. But it has to be a group effort cause it’s damn near everyone just bumping up prices because they think they can, they think their product is worth more than what it is. THEYD LITERALLY MAKE MORE MONEY BY JUST PUTTING OUT A GOOD PRODUCT AT A GOOD PRICE WHY IS THAT SO HARD.

If subway drops their prices to a direction of $8.99-10.99 they’d have much more cliental because (just like you were saying in the vid King) we’re in a constant comparison with the better more quality chains that we have no issue dropping $13-15 on a good quality sub. Good review as always
