It's been awhile since I played the demo, but if I remember correctly you can paint the housing areas in little squares, sized down just big enough for one house to go in at a time. It is a bit time consuming, but more efficient, as it removes wasted space from the villagers slapping in their houses wherever in the residential zones. Maybe they are better at it now, but I remember them wasting a lot of space before.
Happy New Year and thanks for showing off Foundation, @Surtr - Might have a go of the demo, myself off the back of this. It has the feel of "The Settlers" from the glorious 16bit days for me. Wasn't sure of what to make of it from the Steam Store page, but it has some interesting differences from Manor Lords in the management/strategic gameplay and I like what I see so far for the customisation of major civic buildings.
It seems that if you cut the trees near the berry bushes they eventually disappear, so it's best to leave some treees around them. Also, the reddish circles you have around the lumber camp and the saw mill are not bonuses, but maluses -- they impact negatively the area, so you shouldn't build any residential sites in the reddish circles. Hope this helps!
I did start a playthrough when it launched but I ran into lots of issues so I stopped. It looks like they have fixed most of the issues so I might go back to it.
I tried one of these sort of games a while back, it was early in early access and had to stop playing due to multiple issues. They seemed to have fixed it so might go back at some point. This looks fun though
Glad you made updated video of this! This is still a great game wish there was more recent content. Thanks for taking the time!
Glad you liked it. The EA version of the game releases at the end of the month.
Definetly wana see more of this
Will do.
Alright, I've gotta try the demo! Thank you, this is right up my alley!
I hope you enjoy it.
Great game, I'm looking forward to your mountaintop castle!
You and me both! That will only come with the full release.
Oh yes . . . more please!
Will do.
I was screaming at you to accept your new villagers ... LOL
That is my superpower, making people scream in frustration. Ask my wife.

When you do it like that you end up with a bit of a grid. I prefer the organic layouts.
@@surtrplays I personally don't mind a grid, but I completely see the appeal of a more organic look.
That's a nice little tip. Thanks

Happy New Year to you too. It does have a bit of a Settlers vibe, with the extra depth of Manor Lords.

A huge help. Thanks.
Well I will try the demo :P

It is a very pretty game. I'm not 100% sold on the gameplay and interface. I will keep watching....
Thanks for watching.

I know the one of which you speak. It does look better now but I like the style of this one.
@@surtrplays I know what u mean and agree
Why don’t you follow the quest line?
I will with the full release at the end of the month.
Love this game but been a few months since I played last and see here there are a few improvements added +1 Maybe time to return
The improvements are really good.

Mr all of your videos are really good and I always enjoy watching your videos
Thank you very much.
SO just rappy graphics version of age of empires, Very unimpressed.
I suppose you could look at it that way.
I have played so many realistic graphic games that this is refreshing to my old soul ;)
