I think that Kidds crew respect Killer so much that they adopted the laugh so he wouldn't feel out of place. It's sad and wholesome at the same time.

Luffy complimenting Kidd was so genuine it made the lad go all tsundere on him 💀
They only force-fed the SMILE to Killer. However, Like the Straw Hats, Heart Pirates, Firetank Pirates and others, the Kid Pirates are a very close crew. Killer never laughed and the entire crew knew why, he hated his very unique laugh. But, after returning as a 'Pleasure' the crew starting copying Killer's high-pitched silly laugh so that Killer wouldn't feel like he was different from the rest of the crew now. I know this was explained in the manga, but I'm not sure if they skipped that in the anime.
Yeah they explain it in the anime, but briefly so he must've missed it while talking at some point.
About submarines - we saw another one before Reverie, COby catched torpedo from it.
And the bigest problem may be Sea Kings. They don't realy live on the surface, they live in deep ocean, and when you moving under water like a fish - it can be easy target for Sea King.
Well I think Law's fruit gives him a unique advantage since he can use shambles to get out of the sub should the worst occur potentially with more crewmates, I can't recall if we've ever seen him shamble more than one target at a time. Otherwise most fruit users would be dead as hell if even a pin prick sized hole happens in a sub.
@@Ragnay977 he can definitively chambel more than one person at a time. He will do it in this ark later, but i cant remember an exact moment befor this episode tbh.
Zoro's first instance of Conquerors Haki was actually at Sabaody, along with Luffy! Luffy scared Duval's bull (cow thing .. wtv) and Zoro scared the people that gave him directions. So they were both shown to have it from then and this was just the official confirmation for Zoro!
Also Kaido heavily implies his Asura form is his own unique application of Conqueror's Haki, which would place it even earlier.
About the Zoro scene in episode 984:
Zoro indeed used Conqueror's Haki for the very first time, but this scene had some backlash when the episode was released.
In the manga Zoro used Conqueror's Haki in a later chapter (I won't say when) and it was a really huge reveal at that time.
But this scene is anime-only and sadly spoiled Zoro's "new skill".
Many People were dissapointed that Zoro's Conqueror's Haki reveal is so melancholic in the anime, compare to the reveal in the manga.
As a manga reader I thought it was better for the story for him to use it unconsciously before him using again when he does

I mean atleast to anime onlys it was pretty good, maybe a little weird, but I feel like a reveal is a reveal no matter what. It was only meh compared to the manga portion. My full guess was they wanted to tease it a little so it didn't seem like Oda pulled it out of his ass but that's hard to do with something like Conquerors haki
Well most Probably wouldnt even remember it since his first actual use was soooo much Later, like atleast 50 something Episodes later which is equivalent to over a Year.

let's be honest here though... Zoro has done this before, one when he subdued Monet to total fear and she was unable to pick herself up after he cut her in half, then it also happened when it showed like he cut ppl in half but they just fainted. or this could have been that ability ppl say Mihawk might have which makes ppl see what will happen to them. (Marineford scene with Luffy and his hands, where he saw that mihawk chopped em off but he pulled back before it'd happen. I think we also saw Zoro do sth similar during fishman Island. I need to rewatch to remember 100% if it's like that or it happened at a different instance.

- Killer’s laugh “Fawfawfaw…”(such supporting crew laughing like him) is a reference to the song “Psycho Killer” by the Talking Heads, but it’s good that he became a Pleasure because if he was a Gifter his body would have been replaced by an elephant with his arms sticking out & his head on the end of the trunk (SBS)
- The entrance of Onigashima is breathtaking design with it resembling a skull (maybe even an Ancient Giant - theory ?), kitsune statues, giant wagasa (oil-paper unbella) & katana decorated with paper lanterns, but remember this is based on the island of Onis from the Momotaro folktale
- Kin’emon’s Fuku Fuku no mi / Garb-Garb Jutsu (a Paramecia type) technique is called Kin-chan Gofukuten / Kin’s Clothing Company (this maybe a reference to Tsuru’s pet name for him) where he sets up an arching gate with a leaf-imprinted banner & anyone pass through the gate instantly receives a clothing change without requiring to put an object over their head, but hey New Outfits !
- Note the horns that the Beast Pirates wear are decretive but seem to indicate what they are with 2 black horns = Gifters, 1 white horn = Pleasures, & none = Waiters (with a few exceptions)
Brook got a whit horn cuz he's always making jokes and laughing, Yohohohoho

If i remember right i think in this episode it was a filler when zoro used conqueres haki and it was kinda spoiled.
Yeah, when this episode came out, it was around the time zoro unlocked conquers haki and toei spoiled it

It makes it a plot hole. Zoro has never consciously used conquerors haki. He hasn't even used it until the asura against Kaido.

I am still a little mad that the animators gave zoro the con.Haki in that non important scene... just because oda dropped it 4 weeks earlyer in the manga an tgat episodes release... i took sth away from the king fight were he officially 1st time used it on the Beast Pirates.... or now known as the animal kingdom pirates... dont know why they changed that after zou either thou...

Submarines in the One Piece world would be too risky and difficult for a lot of people. For one, it's very risky for devil fruit users in case something goes wrong while submerged. And the mechanics of it likely aren't well known to the majority of the world, so getting someone to build, maintain, and source the materials for it would be hard. Plus the sea kings you gotta either dodge or be able to kill in one shot before they eat the sub. But I think one of the main drawbacks for pirates is the limited space, which means a smaller crew is needed and the pirates who like plundering and looting would not have the capacity to keep everything they want. I think a lot of pirate crews are more rowdy and less disciplined than Law's, so there'd definitely be a higher risk of the crew damaging their sub from the inside during a drunken fight or not being careful enough with their strength or weapons
The last Right hand man of the pirate king had Conqueror Haki, its not impossible to assume, from a writing point of view, that was foreshadowing for Zoro. I certainly thought it was when Haki was revealed. Kings and Rulers are born that way most of the time but there is those that are forged into a King/Ruler.
Well this is where the fun begins. Zoro just being Zoro :D

We arrive to Onigashima, a spectacular sight, and with Kin'emon's power we get some disguises too, Kaido may have some kinks given his crew dress code...also Brook with the cock block
Killer's the only one with a SMILE, the rest of the crew are laughing with so he doesn't get insecure about it, since before he hated his laugh
I must admit though, I hate the Conqueror's Haki reveal, because Toei did it early! This was anime only (we saw hints of it back in Sabaody though) we only confirm it later on during the roof, not the first big reveal they throw out early too
So zoro actually hit the conqueror's haki look as early as Water 7 but I think there may have even been an Alabasta incident or something with an animal before he used it on thugs in Water 7.
